laut berkelanjutan. Hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah sumber daya di kawasan KKPD sertakarakteristik sosial-budaya dan ekonomi nelayan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristikmasyarakat nelayan di wilayah KKPD dan strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan dalam merespon penetapanKKPD. Kasus yang terjadi di KKPD Misool Selatan Raja Ampat menunjukkan adanya karakteristiksosial-budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat nelayan yang beragam meliputi interaksi sosial, organisasikerja, gaya hidup, diversifikasi pekerjaan, manajemen keuangan, dan adaptasi teknologi. Pada aspekinteraksi sosial, mayoritas melayan memilih berhutang ke toko/kios terdekat, disamping kegiatanyang berhubungan dengan plasma dan meminjam uang ke tetangga. Mayoritas nelayan mengikutiperkumpulan nelayan, disamping mengikut pemilik kapal dan menjadi pemimpin kelompok sementarauntuk aspek organisasi sosial. Gaya hidup meliiputi kebiasaan jajan, merokok, berada di rumah ketikatidak melaut, dan membawa minuman keras ketika melaut. Untuk aspek manajemen keuangan,mayoritas nelayan menggunakan uang mereka untuk kebutuhan makan dan perawatan perahu,disamping untuk jajan, membeli rokok dan menambah alat tangkap. Diversifikasi pekerjaan dilakukanoleh sebagian besar nelayan dengan bekerja di perusahaan, budidaya rumput laut, membuka kebun,membeli dan memelihara ternak dan memiliki kios/toko untuk berjualan. Mayoritas nelayan melakukanadaptasi teknologi berupa penggunaan motor tempel pada perahu tradisional, disamping memodifikasialat tangkap dan beralih ke perahu Johnson. Strategi adaptasi nelayan merupakan respon yang muncul,karena adanya perubahan di kawasan konservasi. Seiring dengan berbagai perubahan yang beragam,mayoritas nelayan memilih strategi adaptasi dengan cara berinvestasi untuk menghadapi penetapanKKPD.Title: Adaptation Strategy of Fishermen for the Determination of WatersConservation Area in South Misool, KKPD Raja AmpatRegional Marine Conservation Area (Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Daerah/KKPD) aims toachieve sustainable marine resource management. The aspects that must be considered were resourcesin marine conservation area and socio-cultural and economic characteristics of fishermen. This researchaims to analyze the characteristics of fishers communities in KKPD area and their adaptation strategiesto response KKPD establishment. In case of KKPD Misool Selatan Raja Ampat showed that there arevarious socio-cultural and economic characteristics consists of social interaction, organization of work,lifestyle, financial management, occupational diversification, and technological adaptations. In the socialinteraction aspect, most of fishermen owed to nearby shop, besides related activity with Plasma, andborrows money from their neighbors. Most of fishermen had attended the fishermen association, apartfrom boat owners and temporary group leader for organization of work aspect. Lifestyle aspect consistsof habit of snacks consumption, smoking, stay at home when not fishing, and bring liquor when fishing.For financial management aspect, most of fishermen allocated their funds to fulfill dining needs and boatmaintenance. Fisherman also have some occupational diversification consists of working in a company,seaweed culture, farming, buy and raise cattle, and sell in their shop. Then, most of fishermen usingoutboards motor in their traditional boat as technology adaptation, besides modifying their fishing gearand using Johnson boat. In line with various changes, most of fishermen choose investment strategy toresponse KKPD establishment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the promotional strategies implemented through social media content on Instagram @evodis.aroma to enhance consumer purchase interest. Beyond this, the research seeks to identify the range and diversity of content types used by the @evodis.aroma Instagram account to attract its audience and drive engagement. By employing a descriptive qualitative research method, utilizing in-depth interviews as a primary data collection technique, this study offers a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the promotional tactics and content strategies deployed. The findings of this research reveal that Instagram @evodis.aroma utilizes a targeted promotional approach, strategically crafted to boost consumer interest and purchasing intent. This strategy is manifested through a variety of key elements and structured phases in the account’s content management, such as visually appealing posts, interactive stories, and informative product highlights. The analysis process of the strategy used by Instagram @evodis.aroma is conducted using the AIDA model (Awareness, Interest, Desire, and Action) as the main guideline.

Abstract

AbstractPublic communication is the process of delivering information to the public directly or using the media carried out by individuals, organizations, and institutions. The Bogor Regency DPRD has a legislative function that regulates the life of the community and the state. This function is closely related to Public Information Disclosure (KIP) which must be considered by public relations staff. Information dissemination is carried out to achieve good governance in serving the community. This research analyzes the public relations communication strategy on the use of new media in the Bogor Regency DPRD. The subject was chosen because the Bogor Regency DPRD carries out its duties as a public body. The research theory uses Suprapto's communication strategy theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative to describe the experiences and perspectives of the interview results. The results showed that Suprapto's communication strategy theory had not been fully implemented in information dissemination. The missing aspects are not determining specific target audiences, compiling messages that can be published and should not be published, limited use of new media, informative message methods, and mechanical and sociological barriers.Keywords: Communication Strategy, Public Relations, New Media   AbstraksiKomunikasi publik merupakan proses penyampaian informasi kepada publik secara langsung maupun menggunakan media yang dilakukan oleh individu, organisasi, maupun lembaga. DPRD Kabupaten Bogor memiliki fungsi legislasi yang mengatur kehidupan masyarakat dan negara. Fungsi tersebut berkaitan erat dengan Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (KIP) yang harus diperhatikan oleh staf humas. Penyebaran informasi dilakukan untuk mencapai good governement dalam melayani masyarakat. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi humas pada penggunaan new media di DPRD Kabupaten Bogor. Subjek dipilih karena DPRD Kabupaten Bogor menjalankan tugasnya sebagai badan publik. Teori penelitian menggunakan teori strategi komunikasi Suprapto. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman dan perspektif hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan belum sepenuhnya teori strategi komunikasi Suptapto diimplementasikan dalam penyebaran informasi. Aspek yang tidak ada tersebut yaitu tidak menentukan target khalayak spesifik, menyusun pesan yang boleh dipublikasikan dan tidak boleh dipublikasikan, penggunaan new media yang terbatas, metode pesan informatif, serta  hambatan mekanis dan sosiologis.Kata Kunci: Strategi Komunikasi, Hubungan Masyarakat, Media Baru

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of the Sulang-Sulang Pahompu culture in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap through John Fiske’s semiotic approach. The film is significant as it presents the life of the Batak community, rich with traditional values and unique kinship relations. Sulang-Sulang Pahompu, a traditional ritual that emphasizes respect for ancestors and family unity, is depicted through various visual and narrative elements within the film. This research applies Fiske's semiotic analysis method, focusing on three primary codes: social, technical, and ideological, to understand how this ritual is represented and interpreted within the Batak cultural context. The findings reveal that Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap successfully represents Batak cultural symbols by portraying intergenerational conflicts that balance modernization with reverence for ancestral traditions. The film serves not only as entertainment but also as an educational tool that introduces and reinforces Batak cultural identity, encouraging viewers to appreciate and understand local culture. The implications of this study show that film, as a popular medium, can play a significant role in preserving and introducing traditional culture to a broader audience in the era of globalization.

Abstract

The development of information technology has presented challenges for non-profit organizations such as Youth Ranger Indonesia (YRI) in information dissemination activities, especially for its target audience, namely youth. As an organization that focuses on youth empowerment, YRI requires an effective communication strategy to reach the audience and ensure that the message delivered can be received properly and correctly. This study aims to determine the media and communication strategies used by YRI Public Relations (PR). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with primary data obtained from in-depth interviews with YRI PR, while secondary data is obtained from literature and YRI social media documentation. The communication strategy described refers to the 4 Step of Public Relations (RACE) theory, namely research, action, communication and evaluation from Cutlip, Center and Broom. The results of the study show that YRI uses digital media such as WhatsApp, Gmail and Instagram. The communication strategy used by YRI is in accordance with the RACE theory, and has been proven to help YRI PR carry out information dissemination activities more effectively. This research is expected to be a reference for YRI Public Relations in developing more effective information dissemination strategies, to strengthen YRI's role in efforts to increase youth potential.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat di SMK Boarding School Al-Jauharian, Kabupaten Cianjur, bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan sistem pertanian terpadu (integrated farming system) dengan fokus pada budidaya ikan lele dan tanaman melon. Program ini dirancang untuk mengatasi tantangan pembelajaran praktis di sekolah kejuruan dan meningkatkan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi dunia kerja di bidang agribisnis. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pembangunan mini greenhouse, pelatihan, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi yang melibatkan siswa dan guru secara aktif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan praktis siswa, efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya melalui pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan sebagai nutrisi tanaman, serta peningkatan pemahaman akan konsep pertanian berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan semangat kewirausahaan dan menjadi contoh praktik baik yang dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah-sekolah lain di wilayah Cianjur dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan seperti sekolah memiliki lahan pekarangan yang masih belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Padahal dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal dengan kegiatan pertanian. Selain itu, setiap sekolah memiliki kantin yang menyediakan makanan atau minuman untuk peserta didik/siswa. Namun selama ini tidak terintegrasi antara pengelolaan pekarangan yang bisa menghasilkan produk pertanin dengan pengelolaan kantin sekolah. Sekolah Semai telah menginisiasi pembelajaran berbasis alam melalui pengembangan kebun sekolah. Namun, pengembangan kebun sekolah masih menjumpai beberapa hambatan, mencakup keterbatasan pengetahuan, SDM, dan modal kapital. Metode kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat dosen pulang kampung ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan, FGD dan kuesioner. Responden dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan guru, pengelola kebun dan pengelola kantin sekolah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan tentang sekolah tangguh pangan dan pertanian, pelatihan pertanian terpadu, dan pelatihan penerapan GMP, SSOP dan HACCP. Hasil lainnya terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta dari keseluruhan pelatihan sebesar 20%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelola desa wisata AEWO Mulyaharja dalam membuat konten promosi yang efektif di media sosial. Pelatihan ini mencakup tiga aspek utama: teknik pengambilan video, editing video, dan strategi pembelian media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perkembangan keterampilan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada ketiga aspek, yaitu teknik pengambilan video meningkat dari 32,60% menjadi 76,90%, editing video dari 33,90% menjadi 84,60%, dan pembelian media sosial dari 13,30% menjadi 80,90%. Peningkatan terbesar terlihat pada aspek pembelian media sosial (67,60%), yang menunjukkan efektivitas pelatihan dalam memberikan pemahaman baru tentang iklan digital. Pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan digital pengelola desa, memungkinkan mereka untuk lebih mandiri dalam mempromosikan potensi wisata AEWO Mulyaharja. Dengan kemampuan baru ini, diharapkan desa wisata dapat menarik lebih banyak wisatawan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi lokal. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan metode pelatihan digital dalam konteks pengabdian masyarakat, khususnya di sektor pariwisata pedesaan.

Abstract

This research examines power relations in Kamila Andini's Gadis Kretek series using a Critical Discourse Analysis approach grounded in Michel Foucault's theory. Set in the kretek industry in Indonesia, the series explores themes of family conflict, business competition, and the search for identity through a cultural lens. This study investigates how power operates through discourse, discipline, and social control as reflected in the relationships between characters, which aligns with Foucault's theory. Discourses on tradition, gender, and national identity are analyzed as tools for normalizing and reinforcing dominance, particularly in maintaining hierarchies within the family business. The analysis focuses on specific scenes that highlight the stigmatization of thought, control of the body, and resistance to existing power structures. The findings reveal that the series portrays power not only as physical domination but also as control over the mind and body, deeply embedded in cultural practices and family relationships. This study offers a deeper understanding of how media represents power relations within Indonesia's social structure while emphasizing the symbolic significance of kretek as a representation of national identity.

Abstract

The Future Agile Leader Program (FALP) at IPB University aims to cultivate leadership skills among students and young leaders through adaptive group communication patterns. This study seeks to analyze the communication strategies employed by the Best Young Leaders in maintaining the program's existence and to explore the dynamics between organizers and participants in ensuring its sustainability. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews were conducted with GYP (20 years old), one of FALP's distinguished young leaders. The findings reveal that adaptive communication patterns, grounded in responsiveness to the challenges of the digital era, leverage a hybrid approach of online and offline interactions (O2). Central to this framework are two-way communication and transparency, which foster collaboration and synergy among group members. Robust internal communication enhances each member's regarding their roles, significantly contributing to the group's success. Moreover, harmonious relationships between organizers and participants emerge as a pivotal factor in sustaining the program. This study concludes that adaptive and collaborative communication frameworks serve as a foundational pillar in ensuring FALP's longevity. Future recommendations include further exploration of the interplay between technology and self-awareness in elevating communication quality within leadership development initiatives.
