Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami dampak pencemaran laut akibat tumpahan minyak dari operasi kapal sebagai alat transportasi laut. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan data deskriptif dari berbagai sumber. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pola pencegahan pencemaran yang efektif untuk meminimalkan dampak negatif tumpahan minyak pada ekosistem laut dan lingkungan perairan. Masalah utama yang dikaji adalah upaya pencegahan tumpahan minyak sebelum meluas dan merusak ekosistem. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang berfokus pada keselamatan dan pencegahan pencemaran laut. Metode pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Analisis data dilakukan secara triangulasi dan berkelanjutan hingga data jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan penanganan tumpahan minyak secara berkala bagi seluruh pekerja sangat penting. Selain itu, penggunaan alat pelindung diri seperti sepatu keselamatan, helm, dan pelampung khusus wajib dilakukan untuk mencegah dampak fatal dari kecelakaan kerja.

Abstract

Information literacy skills are increasingly important in the digital era, where the internet is very important for obtaining information. Tourists rely on online platforms to plan their trips, search for reviews, and share their experiences. This research aims to determine the level of information literacy skills possessed by tourists. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The research results show that Quadrant 1 indicates factors or attributes that are considered important, but information literacy skills in tourism services are not implemented well by tourists. Quadrant 2 reflects factors or attributes that are considered important, and tourist information literacy skills related to these attributes have been implemented well by tourists. Quadrant 3 indicates factors that are considered less important, so information literacy skills in tourism services are not implemented well. Finally, Quadrant 4 describes factors or attributes that are considered less important but are implemented excessively. The research conclusion is that the development of tourism digitalization has been well-received by tourists. The use of digital-based information services, apart from being able to accelerate economic growth, is also able to satisfy the needs and desires of tourists by providing various innovative features, both related to products and other important information needed by tourists. Tourist skills are also increasing with the development of information literacy technology.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan keamanan pelabuhan adalah elemen esensial dalam menjaga kelancaran operasional dan reputasi perdagangan maritim internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi penerapan International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code di Pelabuhan Banten, Indonesia, dengan fokus pada persiapan teknis dan administratif yang dilakukan oleh pihak pelabuhan serta tanggapan terhadap evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh United States Coast Guard (USCG) pada Juli 2019. Temuan utama penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat sejumlah kekuatan, seperti kepatuhan terhadap protokol dasar ISPS Code, beberapa kelemahan teridentifikasi, termasuk dalam manajemen kontrol akses dan koordinasi antar pemangku kepentingan. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi dengan mengajukan rekomendasi perbaikan yang praktis, untuk mendukung pelabuhan dalam memenuhi standar keamanan internasional secara lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pelabuhan-pelabuhan lain di Indonesia dalam meningkatkan tingkat kepatuhan terhadap ISPS Code.

Abstract

Indonesia's economic development is inseparable from the contribution of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) industry. Its role in utilizing local products, absorbing labor, and creating jobs. However, it often faces challenges in its management, especially in product competition. One important aspect to overcome these challenges is to improve product quality and packaging design. Kripik Tempe “Berkat”, as one of the small micro enterprises, faces problems related to product quality and unattractive packaging design. This service program aims to improve the partners' understanding of their business conditions through skills training, socialization, mentoring, and education. The results of the activity show that partners better understand the importance of packaging design in increasing product added value and food quality management to maintain the quality of raw materials. In addition, this program succeeded in improving partners' skills and innovation in creating more attractive packaging according to market needs. Overall, this program supports the growth of the Kripik Tempe “Berkat” business through improved product quality, competitiveness, and sales, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector.ABSTRAKPerkembangan ekonomi Indonesia tidak terlepas dari kontribusi industri Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Perannya dalam memanfaatkan produk lokal, menyerap tenaga kerja, dan menciptakan lapangan kerja. Namun, sering kali dalam pengelolaannya menghadapi tantangan, terutama dalam persaingan produk. Salah satu aspek penting untuk mengatasi tantangan ini adalah meningkatkan kualitas produk dan desain kemasan. Kripik Tempe “Berkat”, sebagai salah satu usaha mikro kecil menghadapi masalah terkait kualitas produk dan desain kemasan yang kurang menarik. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mitra terhadap kondisi usaha mereka melalui pelatihan keterampilan, sosialisasi, pendampingan, dan edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra lebih memahami pentingnya desain kemasan dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah produk serta manajemen mutu pangan untuk menjaga kualitas bahan baku. Selain itu, program ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan dan inovasi mitra dalam menciptakan kemasan yang lebih menarik sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar. Secara keseluruhan, program ini mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis Kripik Tempe “Berkat” melalui peningkatan kualitas produk, daya saing, dan penjualan, sehingga berkontribusi pada pengembangan sektor usaha mikro kecil menengah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Community service activities are a real manifestation of the role of academics in supporting the improvement of the quality of education. The Kampus Mengajar program is designed as one of the solutions to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills, especially at SMP Negeri 1 Matesih, Karanganyar Regency. This article reviews the program's implementation as a form of contribution to the world of education, by involving students, teachers, students, and the education community to improve literacy and numeracy skills. The methods applied refer to a participatory approach, including student mentoring, teacher training, and parental involvement in supporting the learning process. The evaluation results show that student involvement in this program contributes to increasing students' interest in reading and their understanding of numeracy. This program is expected to be a model for other schools in developing the quality of education sustainability.

Abstract

Information literacy has a very important role in everyday life. This study aims to describe literacy tourism destinations and efforts to improve people's information literacy skills through literacy tourism programs. The research method uses a qualitative approach, data collection techniques use literature studies by utilizing various sources obtained from books, scientific articles in journals, and various other sources obtained on the internet. The results show that 1) libraries, reading houses, community reading parks, reading corners, and the like can be used as appropriate literacy tourism destinations to improve information literacy skills and obtain relevant information. 2) Improving public information literacy skills. The literacy tourism program can be carried out by holding various program activities such as library tours, user education, giving rewards, storytelling, educational games, as well as digitizing facilities and services. The research concludes that the literacy tourism program is very important to improve the information literacy skills of the community. Many libraries, reading houses, community reading parks, reading corners, and the like can be used as appropriate literacy tourism destinations in order to improve people's information literacy skills. Researchers suggest that the government, libraries, literacy activists, and the community work together in an effort to improve literacy skills and culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tinalah Tourism Village, Kulon Progo, has significant potential in utilizing local resources, including coconut shells, which have traditionally been considered waste. This community service program aims to increase the added value of coconut shells through product innovation in the form of handicrafts and other creative products that support the village's tourism identity. Implementation methods include outreach, training, production assistance, and digital-based marketing. The results of the activity show improved skills among residents in processing coconut shells, the creation of new products with economic value, and increased tourist interest in local souvenirs. This program supports the concept of a circular economy, community empowerment, and the development of sustainable tourism villages.

Abstract

In the digital age, where there is a wealth of frequently unreliable information, information literacy is essential to tourists’ decision-making processes. This study aims to examine the importance of information literacy in relation to travel decisions and the variables that affect them. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, this study gathered and analyzed various relevant sources about information literacy and tourist behavior. The findings indicate that tourists with higher levels of information literacy are better equipped to evaluate the credibility of sources, make informed decisions, and understand sustainability aspects that influence conservation behavior. Therefore, improving information literacy in tourism is crucial and should involve cooperation with educational institutions to enhance tourist experiences and promote sustainable tourism.
