Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic concept of education financing and its implications for improving the quality of education. This study uses the library research method.  The results of the study show that improving the quality of an educational institution / institution is the hope and desire of the community who uses educational services. Therefore, to realize this, various strategic efforts have been made by the government and the community as education managers and stakeholders. Among them, what the government has done is to design national education standards.  Based on the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, there are 8 national standards that aim to improve the quality of an educational institution. Based on government regulations, one of the eight national education standards is the financing standard. Education financing is the most important and inseparable thing in education management activities.   So, among other things, the government's policy is to roll out BOS funds at the school level. Education financing and funding managed by schools/madrasas must be transparent in order to create accountability. If it can be accounted for, the credibility of the educational institution will increase. If it is credible, it will automatically improve the quality of educational institutions.  To achieve this, the government regulates the standards for term financing.

Abstract

Background: Current research aims to fabricate carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC-Na) and carbopol hydrogel beads. Gleichzeitig, beads were coated with chitosan to enhance the controlled release of the drug Metformin HCl (MET), which serves as a model drug for diabetes mellitus (DM). Methodology: The MET beads were synthesized through the ionotropic gelation process. The foundation of ionotropic gelation is a polyelectrolyte’s capacity to cross-link to create hydrogels when counterions are present. The negatively charged carboxylate groups (-COO⁻) on CMC-Na form electrostatic interactions with the positively charged aluminium ions (Al³⁺) from AlCl3. The quality-by-design approach was employed to optimize process factors in preparing hydrogel beads. A comprehensive evaluation of the beads covered various aspects such as particle size, scanning electron microscopy, percentage yield, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, entrapment efficiency (EE), and in vitro drug release. Results and Discussion: The beads were spherical, with an average particle diameter of 153.6 to 231.5 μm. The entrapment efficiency percentage range is 94.4% and 97.83% for MET-loaded and chitosan-coated MET-loaded beads, respectively. Therefore, in-vitro drug release of the optimized MET-loaded beads is 55.5 %, and chitosan-coated MET-loaded beads are approximately 48.8% achieved in 10 hours. Conclusion: Chitosan-coated CMC-Na and carbopol hydrogel beads showed good MET encapsulation and sustained release, improving structural integrity and drug release. The ionotropic gelation process created stable, homogeneous beads, making this delivery method viable for oral sustained-release MET formulations.

Abstract

Character education is a joint responsibility between schools and parents, especially in the context of a character assessment inside and outside the school environment. The aim of this research and development is to create a character education evaluation information system model based on Google Workspace with a focus on increasing parental participation in assessing children's character. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the application of the ADDIE model and the Mixed Method (sequential exploratory) approach. Respondents to this research involved school principals, teachers and parents. Various data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, FGD, documentation studies, and questionnaires were used in this research. Data collection instruments include interview guidelines, observation guidelines, FGD guidelines, and questionnaires. The data analysis was carried out through qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The results of this research are the development of a model book and Google Workspace-based character education evaluation website product. The validation by IT experts showed an assessment percentage of 88.61% in the good category, while the character education experts gave an assessment percentage of 84.65% in the good category. The ratings from the users, especially teachers, reached a percentage of 86.09% in the good category, and from the parents it was 76.70% in the good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the product developed is suitable for use. The products developed can be used and help parents and schools monitor children's character development

Abstract

Education is a pillar of a country's development and economy. Non-formal education is organized to serve people who need access to education to improve their quality of life. Non-formal education focuses on training and developing skills to develop and improve the quality of human resources in order to be able to solve problems that occur and compete globally in the labor market. Improvement and development of the quality of human resources can be done through non-formal education platforms. This study aims to identify efforts to improve the quality of human resources, especially productive age through the contribution of non-formal education to produce quality human resources to be able to compete both on a local and international scale. This research is designed by adopting a qualitative research approach and includes the type of literature study research. Data were collected through literature study methods obtained from scopus indexed journals that focus on the effectiveness of non-formal education and the contribution of non-formal education to improving the quality of human resources. The results showed that in essence human resource development is very important so that the potential possessed by each community can be optimized and one of them can be realized through education. Soft skills such as communication and leadership must be possessed by every human resource in order to be able to overcome uncertainty and survive in the world of work. These soft skills can be obtained through non-formal education programs. Improving the quality of human resources through non-formal education must also be followed by improving the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of continuing education. In addition, improving the quality of human resources through non-formal education programs must also be followed by increasing education funding so that it can run optimally.

Abstract

Background - Islamic boarding schools as one of the educational institutions based on Islamic values have a strategic role in the development of human resources in Indonesia. However, in the era of Society 5.0—which is characterized by the convergence of digital technology and human life—Islamic boarding schools face great challenges in adapting their learning systems and approaches. This condition requires adaptive and innovative human resource management (HR) in order to be able to respond to the demands of the times. Purpose - This research aims to analyze the role of human resource management in facing the dynamics and challenges of the world of education in the era of Society 5.0, with a case study on the Al-Furqan Islamic Boarding School Banjarmasin. Method/approach - This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Findings - The results of the study show that human resource management in this Islamic boarding school is carried out through a selective recruitment process, continuous training, teacher competency development, a structured performance evaluation system, and motivational awarding. Islamic boarding schools also integrate technology in learning and organize digital literacy training for educators in response to the challenges of the Society 5.0 era. Conclusions - The conclusion of this study states that responsive and strategic human resource management is the main key in maintaining the sustainability of the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools. Novelty/Originality/Value - The novelty of this study lies in the identification of the specific role of human resource management in the context of traditional educational institutions (Islamic boarding schools) that are undergoing digital transformation in the era of Society 5.0—a perspective that is still rarely explored in academic studies.
