Abstract

Abstract

The recommended approach for addressing sleep apnea in infants involves the utilization of CPAP therapy. A pivotal component of CPAP therapy is the inclusion of a humidifier, which serves to counteract potential hazards by introducing humidified air. The purpose of this study was centered on developing a compact, portable model to assess temperature and humidity parameters in CPAP humidifiers. The method utilized was the pre-experimental One Group Post Test Design. The contribution of this research lies in its ability to measure temperature and humidity in the CPAP humidifier using the SHT30 sensor. The sensor readings were processed using the Arduino Mega 2560 Pro Mini microcontroller. The measurement data was presented on a 20x4 LCD screen and had the capability to be stored using an SD Card, alongside the inclusion of a buzzer indicator on the tool. The results demonstrated that the highest error value for the temperature parameter was 1.8%, while the lowest was 0.49%. The expected conclusion is that these findings can be implemented effectively to assist operators in recording, measuring, and monitoring temperature and humidity in CPAP humidifiers and to facilitate monitoring of sleep apnea treatment procedures.

Abstract

Elderly individuals are a vulnerable age group prone to various health issues due to the aging process, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and uric acid disorders. Low health awareness and economic constraints lead to infrequent health check-ups among the elderly, resulting in missed opportunities for early disease detection. This community service activity aims to conduct health screenings for the elderly, focusing on blood pressure measurement, blood glucose testing, and uric acid levels in Dusun Kandangan, Pecoro Village, Rambipuji District, Jember Regency, on August 21, 2024. The methods employed include blood pressure measurement using a sphygmomanometer, blood glucose testing, and uric acid testing using test strips. Of the 27 elderly individuals examined, 15 were found to have hypertension, 8 showed symptoms of diabetes mellitus, and 10 had elevated uric acid levels. This activity successfully identified health issues among the elderly.

Abstract

The Ministry of Religion, in response to the high divorce rate, has undertaken various initiatives aimed at sustaining family resilience. One such initiative is the Sakinah Family Service Center Program (Pusaka Sakinah), which seeks to enhance the role of the KUA in safeguarding Indonesian families from divorce. This article emphasizes the need to assess the implementation of the Pusaka Sakinah program by the KUA, including the strategies for advancement and the execution of counseling programs. Employing qualitative methods, this research conducted case studies focused on KUA Besuk. The study revealed several key findings: firstly, while enhancing the KUA's role in fostering sakinah families is achievable through the Pusaka Sakinah program, ensuring the sustainability of the program is challenging due to the KUA's heavy reliance on external funding. Secondly, there are limited initiatives and innovations because the concept of the Pusaka Sakinah program is not fully comprehended and has been misinterpreted during the restructuring of KUA, resulting in confusion, reduction, and even rejection of programs perceived as burdensome by KUA. Thirdly, there is still inadequate synergy in the implementation of the program with similar initiatives undertaken by other ministries and local governments. Keywords: Pusaka Sakinah; Wedding; Divorce.

Abstract

The point in this community service activity (PKM) is to improve the quality of literacy through the Literacy Movement. This activity was carried out at SDN 3 Bandungrejo during September to December 2021. The targets of service include teachers, students, and parents/guardians. The method used is the use of the literacy corner in assisting the Literacy Movement. The service program is structured based on the problems found during the observation process. The absence of libraries as literacy facilities encourages the development of the School Literacy Corner program to improve the quality of literacy, especially the numeracy literacy of students. In addition, it was found that two students in fourth grade and one student in third grade were not fluent in reading. In maintaining the sustainability of the program, this service involves several parties, namely teachers, parents, and the literacy driving community. The existence of collaboration between parties makes this activity successful and sustainable in improving student literacy
