Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: Introduction: Patient Safety Goals (PSGs) are mandatory standards established to improve the quality of healthcare services and are closely related to patient satisfaction. Objective to analyse the effect of implementing six PSGs on the level of satisfaction of inpatients at Royal Prima Hospital in Medan. Methods: A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design involving 150 inpatients selected through consecutive sampling from May to August 2025. The instrument was a structured questionnaire with 25 items (6 PSS variables with 3-4 items, patient satisfaction, five items) on a 1-5 Likert scale that had been validated on 30 respondents (r0.361, α=0.812). Data were categorised as binary with a cut-off of ≥75% for logistic regression analysis. Analysis used multiple linear regression and logistic regression. Results: The implementation of SKP had a significant effect on patient satisfaction (R=0.821; Adjusted R²=0.659; F=36.98; p0.001). Partially, effective communication was the dominant predictor (Wald = 8.32; p = 0.004; OR = 1.756), followed by a reduction in infection risk (p = 0.002), accuracy of identification (p = 0.010), high alert medication safety (p = 0.026), and fall prevention (p = 0.045). The certainty of location/procedure/patient was not yet significant (p = 0.068). Conclusion and suggestion: Effective communication is a dominant factor in improving inpatient satisfaction through the implementation of SKP.Keywords: Effective Communication; Patient Safety; Patient Satisfaction; PSGs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance through job satisfaction at the Deli Serdang Industry and Trade Office. This study used a quantitative-associative causal method, involving 44 respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and literature reviews, analyzed using validity, reliability, classical assumptions, and path analysis using SPSS 26. The results of this study indicate that leadership style has no significant effect on employee performance or job satisfaction, employee performance also has no significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction does not act as an intervening variable. Meanwhile, organizational culture has a positive, significant, and dominant effect on performance and job satisfaction. This confirms that in public service organizations, improving employee performance and well-being is not effectively achieved through optimizing individual leadership or psychological mechanisms alone, but rather through strengthening an institutionalized, collective, and value-oriented organizational culture as the primary foundation of sustainable public governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, village apparatus turnover, and village apparatus motivation on village apparatus performance through work engagement in Deli Serdang Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 175 village apparatus. Data analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression and mediation analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that leadership style and motivation directly influenced village apparatus performance, while turnover had a negative and significant effect on performance. Furthermore, the test results showed that leadership style and motivation positively and significantly influenced work engagement, while turnover had a negative and significant effect on work engagement. Work engagement proved to have a positive and highly significant effect on village apparatus performance. Furthermore, the results of the mediation analysis showed that work engagement acted as an intervening variable, where work engagement partially mediated the effect of leadership style on performance and fully mediated the effect of turnover and motivation on village apparatus performance. The findings of this study confirm that improving village apparatus performance is not only determined by direct factors such as leadership, turnover, and motivation but is also significantly influenced by the level of work engagement of village apparatus.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fiscal decentralization on regional economic growth in Indonesia. The method used is a literature approach by studying various sources. The research focuses on four things: (1) the basic concept of fiscal decentralization, (2) the impact of fiscal decentralization on regional economic growth, (3) factors influencing the effectiveness of fiscal decentralization, and (4) the relationship between fiscal decentralization and regional development strategies. Data sources were obtained from books, journals, government reports, and related policy documents. The research findings indicate that fiscal decentralization generally has a positive impact on regional economic growth, especially in regions with a high level of financial independence and a sound cash management system. Regions that are able to optimally collect local revenue can increase investment, create jobs, and strengthen productive sectors. However, this impact is not evenly distributed due to persistent disparities between regions, a lack of human resource capacity in the apparatus, and dependence on funds provided by the central government. Overall, fiscal decentralization is an important tool in strengthening regional economies, but its success depends heavily on financial management methods, institutional capabilities, and the commitment of local governments to managing public resources effectively and responsibly.
