Abstract

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, many countries have imposed restrictions on activities outside the home, so all action has been shifted to the house which has increased users of video-on-demand services. Currently, most people access it through various special applications available on their smartphones on the Google Play Store or Apple Store. This study aims to determine the effect of showing Korean dramas in new media on interest in learning the language in adolescents. The subjects of this study were teenagers from SMAN 1 SETU Kabupaten Bekasi, with a total of 115 students as respondents. This research is quantitative using explanatory survey methods and use and effect theory, which explain the relationship between mass communication communicated through mass media so that it has impact on mass media users. The results of this study indicate that Korean drama shows have an impact on interest in learning a language, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that the variable showing Korean dramas (X) influences the variable interest in learning the language (Y). Abstract

There are many things that cause a crisis, one of which is due to product damage. An interesting crisis for product damage is the crisis that occurred at the Non-TPI Karawang Class I Immigration Office in the case of the e-Government Application belonging to the Directorate General of Immigration, namely the M-Paspor Application. The application that was expected to facilitate the passport registration process turned out to cause complaints, especially people who applied for passports. The complaint is caused by the M-Paspor Application which often experiences problems in it. The purpose of this study is to find out at what level the attribution of responsibility to the M-Passport Application crisis that occurred at the Immigration Office Class I Non TPI Karawang seen through Situational Crisis Communication Theory. This theory states that the public has certain attributions regarding the crisis because those attributions will determine the reputation of the institution. Attribution is a public perception of a crisis. In every crisis, of course, it has the potential to threaten the reputation of the institution. The smaller the agency's responsibility for the crisis, the smaller the threat to its reputation, and vice versa. To determine who is responsible for the crisis that occurred, basically grouped into three crisis groups or commonly referred to as crisis clusters. Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication strategy used by the public relations police of the city of Karawang (Humas Polres Karawang) in dealing with hoaxes on social media. Hoax news is still a national problem that occurs among the public, such as the case of widespread social media coverage that occurred in Karawang in October 2022 related to security disturbances. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research data were obtained through observation, interviews with the Kasubsi Pensat Polres Karawang and documentation. The results of the research show that the planning and management carried out by public relations of the subregional police Karawang in dealing with fake news is identifying news by conducting research to find facts and opinions that are developing in the community about circulating cases. Then, the data found is confirmed through messages in the form of video content and captions containing news value. After that, it was communicated to the public through the official social media police of the city of Karawang (Polres Karawang). Another effort is to conduct socialization to provide education to the public through social media by creating content that is packaged in a fun way. The subregional police Karawang through the Bhabinkamtibmas line of the sector police (Polsek) also carry out humanist-based visits and patrols using local languages ​​so that they are easily accepted by the community by inserting messages to the public not to be consumed by negative issues. Abstract

This research was conducted based on the news about Meikarta developers suing Meikarta Consumers who are members of the Meikarta Consumer Care Community Association (PKPKM) for 56 billion rupiah on online media Detik.com and kompas.com using the Robert n Entman model framing analysis. The Robert n Entman framing model uses four elements that explain this research, including 1) Define Problem, 2) Diagnoses Causes 3) Make Moral Judgement 4) Treatment Recommendation. This research uses a qualitative approach method with descriptive nature. Based on the results of the analysis of the two online media using the Robert N Entman model, it was found that there was a difference in point of view between Detik.com and kompas.com. Differences in views on each media occur because each media has its own way of packaging in determining views in seeing and framing an event or issue that will be presented as news. The views made by each media can determine how a media frames and forms public opinion in society. Keywords : framing analysis, online media, meikarta

Abstract

This research aims to find out about the meaning of the Quarter Life Crisis and whether there is an influence from the environment as well as communication among the youth of Christ Gunung Putri church. The method used in this study uses qualitative methods in this study, namely researchers use descriptive data that uses several words, either written or spoken, by behavior and people who will be observed. The approach used is phenomenology to understand the meaning of the Quarter Life Crisis among the youth of the Christ Gunung Putri Church. The informants in this study were young members of the Christen Gunung Putri church aged 18-29 years who were going through the Quarter Life Crisis phase. The results of this study consist of two main issues, namely regarding the meaning of the Quarter Life Crisis and its influence on communication among the youth of Christ the Gunung Putri church. With the experiences felt by the informants raises questions that refer to how the meaning of the Quarter Life Crisis is in the communication of the youth of the church of Christ the Gunung Putri. Based on the direct experience experienced by the informants about the Quarter Life Crisis phase, it produces various meanings. This meaning is of course related to one's background, age, communication patterns, and responses from the surrounding environment. Quarter Life Crisis as a phase of crisis at the age from adolescence to adulthood, which they are generally experiencing at this time. Feelings of anxiety, worry about the future, confusion, searching for identity, feeling insecure and having many demands they feel at this time. Of course, all informants had conducted intrapersonal communication (by struggling with themselves for any concerns as well as making decisions) and also interpersonal (sharing with fellow youth members which resulted in comfort, relief and helpful inside) during the Quarter Life Crisis phase. Abstract

Salah satu feinomeina peingguna iPhonei dalam keihidupan seihari-hari untuk meingikuti trein sudah meinjadi topik hangat di kalangan masyarakat hampir di seluruh dunia. Dimana masyarakat seikarang seiakan beirlomba-lomba untuk meimiliki smartphonei yang satu ini. Adapun sebutan untuk penggemar setia iPhone disebut dengan istilah sheeple. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui Apa Makna iPhone Bagi mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2019 FISIP UNSIKA sebagai pengguna iPhone dari kalangan Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi non partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik dari Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa makna iPhone bagi para informan adalah Pertama, sebagai alat kepercayaan diri. Kedua, sebagai alat kepuasan diri. Ketiga, sebagai alat penunjang bermedia sosial dan Keempat, sebagai alat penunjang segala aktivitas.
