Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe: 1) the influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher professionalism, 2) the effect of work ethic on teacher professionalism, 3) the influence of head leadership style and work ethic on teacher professionalism. This research uses quantitative methods. The results of the study state that: 1) there is an influence of the Principal's Leadership Style on Teacher Professionalism; 2) there is an influence of Work Ethics on Teacher Professionalism; and 3) there is an influence between Principal Leadership Style and Work Ethic jointly on Teacher Professionalism.

Abstract

Regarding the implementation of school-based management, one of which is infrastructure management. This researcher took the title, namely, Management of Facilities and Infrastructure at SMP Muhammadiyah Jirak with the sub-focus is planning, procurement, utilization, maintenance, person in charge and elimination. In this study, researchers used a qualitative method with a qualitative naturalistic approach. The naturalistic approach shows that the implementation of this research is indeed natural, as it is and is not manipulated by circumstances and conditions. In the data collection method, the writer uses techniques such as observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the planning of infrastructure in SMP Muhammadi yah Jirak runs withgood. In addition, the planning stage is also carried out from submitting needs, then analyzing. Procurement of infrastructure at SMP Muhammadiyah Jirak always tries to do with the planning that has been made. In terms of the provision of infrastructure, it has also been carried out in accordance with the plans that have been made. In terms of the provision of infrastructure, it is not carried out by one or two parties, but involves various elements to avoid misuse in the provision of educational facilities. Utilization of facilities and infrastructure at SMP Muhammadiyah Jirak is by having rules and schedules for the use of facilities and infrastructure. Maintenance and accountability for facilities and infrastructure at SMP Muhammadiyah Jirak are carried out by all residents, including officers, school principals, teachers, administrative staff and other students. The elimination of facilities and infrastructure at SMP Muhammadiyah Jirak is carried out by the school by selecting goods and after that it will be reported to the KPKNL and will be carried out a sale or auction.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the correlation among language learning strategies, reading attitude, and reading achievement of the eleventh grade students of State Senior High Schools Lahat District. In this study, 85 students of the eleventh grade were chosen as sample through stratified random sampling. This study applied correlation research design. Questionnaire and test was used to collected the data. They were analyzed by using pearson product moment correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis. The result showed that the sig value of correlation between learning strategies and reading achievement was 0.04 which was higher than 0.05, with 5% contribution of learning strategies. The correlation between reading attitude and reading achievement was 0.000 which lower than 0.05, with 15.8% contribution of reading attitude. The correlation between learning strategies and reading attitude was 0.006 which was lower than 0.05, with 8.7% contributions. The correlation among language learning strategies, reading attitude, and reading achievement was 0.000 which was lower than 0.05, with 17% contributions of learning strategies and reading attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to investigates the implementation of Canva as a digital learning tool at SMKN 1 Parit Tiga in West Bangka. Canva, a versatile graphic design platform, offers various features for creating visually appealing materials. This study used qualitative approach, using a case study design. It explores how Canva enhances teaching and learning processes, engages students, and improves learning outcomes in a vocational high school setting. The data collection was done through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The data, then, were analyzed using thematic analysis. The research findings highlight the seamless integration of Canva into lesson planning, teachers' motivations for using Canva, and the positive impact on student engagement and creativity. The results indicated that Canva significantly increases student interest, engagement, and confidence, leading to enhanced creativity and understanding of topics. Recommendations include providing professional development opportunities for teachers and incorporating student feedback to optimize Canva's use in the classroom. Overall, the study underscores the promising results of integrating Canva into educational settings to enhance student motivation, creativity, and collaboration.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this research is The Effectiveness Of Using Circ Technique To Improve Students' Reading Comprehension On Recount Text. The main problem of this study is that students have low motivation to read and also most students do not understand what they have read. Students' limited background knowledge in English. This study aims to determine the effect of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on students' learning outcomes. This research uses quantitative research the writer uses pre-test and post-test the population of this research is class X students of SMK Utama Bakti Palembang with class X TKJ II as the experimental class and X TKJ I as the control class. Data collection used is by using multiple choice test sheets. Based on the calculation results in the table, the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < α (α = 0.025) and because tcount = 39.937 > ttable = 2.052 and with a significant value < 0.05 then H0 is rejected, which means that: "There is a significant effect of using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition technique to improve students' reading comprehension on recount text. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how well Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) at SMPN 45 Palembang improves speaking abilities in English as a foreign language (EFL). Using a pre-experimental approach, the study involves a single group of students from the same class using the MALL method. This study is quantitative in nature and uses oral pre- and post-test data gathering methods in a single class of students at SMP Negeri 45 Palembang. With an average pre-test score of 61.69 and an average post-test score of 79.3, the statistical analysis and data gathering results demonstrate an improvement in English language proficiency following the implementation of MALL. These results demonstrate that MALL is a useful instrument for raising students' proficiency in speaking English as a foreign language (EFL).

Abstract

This study investigates the use of Indoglish a mix of Indonesian and English  as a sociolinguistic phenomenon among Mobile Legends players on a social media with around 56% Indonesian population are using named Instagram. Involves the integration of Indonesian linguistic elements with English vocabulary through qualitative methods: observations, interviews and documentation. The formation likely English nouns and adjectives with Indonesian prefixes (di-, nge-, se-) and suffixes (-nya, -an).  Prominent Indoglish phrases like "partyan," "matchmakingnya," "ditroll/ngetroll," "ngebug," "ngepush," "ngerank," "systemnya," "segame," "skillnya," "ngelag," "gamenya," and "ngestuck" are found and examined based on informants also players’ feedback. The results demonstrate that gamers often use Indoglish phrases on Instagram and in game, demonstrating how skilledly they can use these terms. Gamers believe that Mobile Legends is a useful tool for improving their English in a variety of settings, supporting Indoglish since it is useful and accepting of its contribution to improving their relationships with other players.
