Abstract

Learning or lectures carried out by universities are currently still conducting learning with two methods, namely offline learning and online learning. Fatmawati Sukarno State Islamic University students have studied using these two methods, but for sixth semester students learning is done online. This perception of learning through whatsapp needs to be known in order to improve the learning system carried out through whatsapp media later. This research method uses qualitative methods.  The source of the data comes from observations and interviews conducted with ten students of early childhood education at Fatmawati Sukarno State Islamic University. The benefits of learning through whatsapp according to students, learning feels more relaxed and flexible, important notes are still stored in whatsapp, and eases the burden on students. However, the disadvantages of learning through WhatsApp according to students are lack of focus when learning, less interactive, and mobile phone storage space that fills up quickly.

Abstract

The problem at PAUD Rukun Bengkulu city is that children's physical motor skills are less developed, children are still not strong in holding toys, still not neat in arranging puzzles, children have not hit small tennis balls, children are still slow in moving, walking and jumping. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hockey table games on the physical motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Rukun, Bengkulu city. The type of research used by the author is quasi-experimental design research, with data collection of observation sheets, anecdotal records and documentation. The results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an effect of hockey table games on the physical motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Rukun Bengkulu city, this is evidenced by the increase in the average value of children who at the beginning of the study (pre-treatment) amounted to 39.71 to 44.92 after learning using hockey table games. The results of data analysis obtained the tcount value is 4.149 which is compared with the ttable (dk = 26 with the error rate set at 5%, which is 2.056), then tcount> ttable (4.149> 2.056).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the practice of assessment on the achievement of religious values and ethics of children aged 5-6 years at Witri Kindergarten, Bengkulu City, using a qualitative approach involving literature review and document analysis. The Independent Curriculum is the main focus in understanding how these values are integrated in early childhood learning. The subjects of the study include teachers and principals who are directly involved in the assessment process. The data was collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that religious values and ethics have been well integrated in the Independent Curriculum, with a checklist assessment technique. From the assessments that have been carried out, it shows that children's religious values and ethics have reached the development achievements that have been determined in the independent curriculum. The development of religious values and children's ethics is achieved through the application of teachers in following the achievement indicators that have been determined in the curriculum.

Abstract

Early childhood is a critical period of rapid growth and development, during which children can easily capture adult cues. In early childhood education, children aged 0-8 years are classified as young children, each with unique potential that requires a supportive environment to maximize. Among the six domains of development highlighted in early childhood education standards are physical motor skills, which include both fine and gross motor skills. These skills are foundational and should be carefully cultivated as they relate to the child’s overall physical and behavioral development. In early childhood education settings, physical motor development is particularly important, with fine motor skills involving small muscle coordination and gross motor skills involving larger muscle movements. Developing motor skills through engaging activities, such as games, physical exercises, and multimedia resources, helps children gain coordination, strength, and balance. Animated video learning media is a promising tool for stimulating motor skill development as it captures children’s attention and motivates them to move. Previous research indicates that interactive media, including animations, can enhance children’s motor coordination and overall engagement in physical activities. This study, conducted at TK Ar-Rahim 1, Simpang Tiga, Kaur Utara, explores the influence of animated video learning media on the gross motor skill development of early childhood students. Initial observations revealed limited use of engaging learning media due to constraints in resources and teacher creativity. Through analyzing the effects of animated video media on motor skills, this research seeks to provide insights into its potential benefits and to contribute to early childhood education practices that support optimal motor development.

Abstract

Pada Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi upaya guru dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan visual spasial anak usia 4-5 tahun melalui kegiatan menggambar bebas di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) Musi Indah, Desa Kandang, Kecamatan Seberang Musi, Kabupaten Kepahiang. Jenis penelitaian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriftif.Metode yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan mendidik, membimbing, dan mengevaluasi. Dalam kegiatan menggambar bebas, guru memberikan arahan dan stimulasi yang memungkinkan anak mengekspresikan kreativitas mereka. Selain itu, guru berperan dalam membimbing anak selama proses menggambar, membantu mereka memahami bentuk, warna, dan komposisi. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai perkembangan kecerdasan visual spasial anak, yang tercermin dari kemampuan mereka dalam menciptakan karya gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan visual spasial anak, memperkuat daya imajinasi, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam berekspresi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran guru dalam mendukung perkembangan kecerdasan visual spasial melalui kegiatan yang menyenangkan dan edukatif

Abstract

Tujuannya adalah untuk menanamkan kepekaan sosial terhadap anak agar anak dapat bersosialisasi dengan baik terhadap teman sebaya, adik, dan orang yang lebih tua darinya selain itu juga diharapkan anak dapat menerapkan hidup hemat sejak dini dan dapat memilih antara kebutuhan dan keinginan anak. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh metode bercerita yang di terapkan oleh guru terhadap perkembangan kemampuan literasi sosial dan finansial anak usia dini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 21 orang anak yang di TK Aisyiyah VII Kota Bengkulu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes penilaian, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisa data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode bercerita terhadap kemampuan literasi sosial dan finansial anak usia dini. Kemampuan literasi sosial dan finansial anak usia dini yang ditingkatkan dalam penelitian ini melalui buku cerita yaitu, tolong menolong, gotong royong, kerja sama, hidup hemat, suka berbagi, dan mengenal antara kebutuhan dan keinginan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran guru dalam meningkatkan nilai moral anak usia dini di PAUD Delima Kota Bengkulu melalui metode bercerita dengan media boneka tangan. Permasalahan utama adalah perlunya penanaman nilai-nilai moral sejak dini, seperti kejujuran, kesopanan, dan rasa hormat, mengingat usia dini merupakan masa kritis bagi perkembangan karakter anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bercerita menggunakan boneka tangan efektif dalam membantu anak memahami nilai moral secara konkret. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan model, yang menggunakan karakter boneka untuk menarik perhatian anak, membuat nilai moral lebih mudah dipahami dan diinternalisasi. Anak-anak menunjukkan perilaku positif setelah kegiatan bercerita, seperti mengucapkan salam, membantu teman, dan menghormati orang lain. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan metode ini mencakup kesiapan media pembelajaran dan dukungan lingkungan sekolah, sedangkan hambatan meliputi keterbatasan variasi karakter boneka. Kesimpulannya, metode bercerita dengan boneka tangan terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai moral pada anak usia dini, dan disarankan untuk dilengkapi dengan fasilitas serta pelatihan lanjutan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya.kemudahan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran dan kemajuan dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers' perceptions of using the Quiz Maker application in the assessment of early childhood learning. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected through online questionnaires distributed to 52 kindergarten teachers in West Sumatra Province. The findings reveal that most teachers perceive Quiz Maker as a tool that simplifies and accelerates the assessment process, enhances evaluation effectiveness, and aids in understanding children’s development and thinking patterns. The application is also seen as supportive in improving teachers’ professionalism by enabling more accurate and efficient assessment practices. However, some teachers reported challenges related to technical understanding and the need for stable internet access. Concerns were also raised regarding the potential impact on children's social and emotional development if the application is not used in a balanced pedagogical approach. Despite these concerns, the majority of respondents still consider Quiz Maker a promising digital tool for early childhood education assessment, provided that its implementation is supported by adequate training and thoughtful integration into the learning process. This study contributes to the development of adaptive and child-friendly technology-based assessment practices in early childhood education.

Abstract

This article aims to: (1) identify developmentally appropriate classrooms; (2) describe key perspectives on early childhood learning and development; and (3) recognize similarities and differences in child development. Classrooms designed based on child development principles have proven to be an important foundation in creating safe, supportive and stimulating learning environments. Early childhood educators need to understand the physical and psychological dimensions of an ideal learning space, including the layout, props and social interactions that occur within it. In addition, an understanding of child development theories such as those of Piaget, Vygotsky and Erikson is an important foundation in designing holistic learning approaches. Recognizing that each child develops at a different pace and learning style, teachers are expected to be able to respond adaptively to children's individual needs. Thus, the quality of early childhood education will improve significantly, as learning activities are designed according to the developmental characteristics of children from infancy to 8 years of age.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a crucial role in human resource development, but its implementation in Indonesia still faces significant challenges. This study aims to comprehensively identify the main problems that hinder the development of PAUD in Indonesia and to formulate a strategic solution framework to overcome them. The research method used is a literature study, by conducting in-depth analysis and synthesis of various literature sources relevant to PAUD issues in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that PAUD in Indonesia faces complex and interrelated problems, including the low quality and quantity of educators influenced by minimal interest, inadequate welfare, and limited institutions that produce quality teachers. In addition, access to PAUD services is not evenly distributed, especially in rural areas, exacerbated by suboptimal community understanding and low parental awareness of the urgency of PAUD. The quality of learning is also not optimal due to a non-standard curriculum, less innovative learning methods, and minimal supporting facilities, as well as government policies that do not fully support it. Therefore, the recommended comprehensive solution includes improving the quality and welfare of educators, expanding access and equalizing infrastructure through increasing government budgets and active involvement of the private sector, increasing awareness and involvement of parents, developing relevant curricula and innovative learning methods, and strengthening more affirmative government regulations and policies as fundamental keys to improving the quality of PAUD services as a whole in Indonesia. ABSTRAKPendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memegang peran krusial dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia, namun implementasinya di Indonesia masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi secara komprehensif problematika utama yang menghambat perkembangan PAUD di Indonesia serta merumuskan kerangka solusi strategis untuk mengatasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan melakukan analisis dan sintesis mendalam terhadap berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan dengan isu PAUD di Indonesia. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa PAUD di Indonesia menghadapi masalah kompleks dan saling terkait, meliputi rendahnya kualitas dan kuantitas pendidik yang dipengaruhi oleh minimnya minat, kesejahteraan yang belum memadai, dan terbatasnya lembaga pencetak guru berkualitas. Selain itu, akses terhadap layanan PAUD belum merata, khususnya di daerah pedesaan, diperparah oleh pemahaman masyarakat yang belum optimal dan rendahnya kesadaran orang tua akan urgensi PAUD. Mutu pembelajaran juga belum maksimal akibat kurikulum yang belum standar, metode pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif, dan fasilitas pendukung yang minim, serta kebijakan pemerintah yang belum sepenuhnya mendukung. Oleh karena itu, solusi komprehensif yang direkomendasikan mencakup peningkatan kualitas dan kesejahteraan pendidik, perluasan akses dan pemerataan infrastruktur melalui peningkatan anggaran pemerintah dan pelibatan aktif pihak swasta, peningkatan kesadaran serta keterlibatan orang tua, pengembangan kurikulum yang relevan dan metode pembelajaran inovatif, serta penguatan regulasi dan kebijakan pemerintah yang lebih afirmatif sebagai kunci fundamental untuk perbaikan mutu layanan PAUD secara menyeluruh di Indonesia.
