Abstract

Social awareness (Caring) is one of the important character implanted in early childhood as the basic foundation for the development of other characters. Therefore, efforts to introduce and plant it is important. One of them through storytelling activities by using media that appeal to children. This study aims to acquire, collect, analyze information and data used as a reference in the design of an interesting storybook media that is pop-up developed with the character base. Especially to instill the character of social caring in accordance with the needs of the field. This research method used field observation and also interview with Kindergarten teachers in Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. Based on the results of observations and interviews found the results that children are more interested in the storybook with a more realistic appearance and can move the pop-up but the contents of the pop-up book that there is not much that contains the content of planting characters especially social caring. So with the doing of this media design is expected to be a solution and facilitate teachers to instill social care characters in early childhood and social character of children can develop well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilik ulang kualitas sebuah lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) yang dilihat dari sudut pandang pengorganisasian iklim dan dalam proses pengelolaan kelas, dikarenakan kualitas pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh iklim organisasi dan kualitas proses pendidikan, namun dalam pelaksanaannya dua hal tersebut kurang menjadi perhatian dalam proses pengorganisasian sebuah lembaga pendidikan khsusunya PAUD sehingga perlu dikaji lebih dalam terkait pentingnya pengorganisasian iklim dan pengelolaan keas dalam menentukan kualitas lembaga PAUD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian kepustakaan (library research), yaitu pengumpulan data diperoleh dari berbagai literatur yang selanjutnya dikaji dan dianalisa secara mendalam yang selanjutnya ditarik kesimpulan. Dalam penelitian ini akan diuraikan bagaimana identifikasi permasalahan yang ada dilingkungan sekolah, bagaimana pengorganisasian iklim dan pengelolaan kelas dapat memberikan dampak pada  kualitas pendidikan, dan bagaimana solusi yang ditawarkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengorganisasian iklim dan pengelolaan kelas. Sehingga dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan alternatif solusi untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran khusunya dalam pengorganisasian iklim dan pengelolaan kelas. Kunci Kunci : kualitas PAUD, pengorganisasian iklim sekolah, pengelolaan kelas

Abstract

Abstract

Complete–playtime is an early concept of kindergarten idea. However, recently, children no longer obtain many opportunities to explore themselves through contextual learning activities such as playing drama or listening to tale. Children are focused on academic-centered activities, so they experience learning boredom at an early age. Moreover, students have not owned a school readiness when entering elementary school. This research helps kindergarten students have school readiness like academic skill, emotional-social skill, and morality through storytelling classically. This experimental study used True-Experimental Postest-Only Design. The two kindergartens were selected through cluster sampling from 100 target populations—the data was collected using the Bender Gestalt Test and observation. The series of storytelling activities as a treatment given towards students proved that the experimental group had school readiness earlier than the controlled group. The experimental group possessed more school readiness than the control group, with the difference was 37% age equivalent to eight years old and 29.6% equal to 7 years old. Other purposes accomplished were developing school readiness skills in vocabulary building, active question-answering, positive attitude towards peers, concern towards social environment, and literacy development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of picture hook media in improving the reading skills of young children aged 5-6 years by using picture hook media at RA AS-AS-Sholihin. This research uses the Kemmis and Mc classroom action research model. Taggart. This research was carried out in January 2023 for three cycles. The subjects of this research were 18 RA AS-Sholihin group B students. The data collection techniques used are observation, tests, documentation, and interviews. Meanwhile, research instruments use observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in reading skills in early childhood in the B RA AS-Sholihin group by using hook pictures as media. This increase can be seen from the results of observations which increase in each cycle. The average value obtained in cycle I reached 39%, in cycle II it reached 61%, and in cycle III it reached 89%. The results of this research show that the use of picture hook media can improve children's reading abilities. Based on the statement above, the researcher concluded that the use of hook pictures in As-Sholihin RA was said to be very influential in children's learning processes. Namely by using picture hook media the learning atmosphere is more enjoyable, and children are more interested in learning to read so that it can help improve reading skills.

Abstract

This paper tries to trace the study of the yellow book among muslim women which was carried out in the village of Prekbun Pademawu in the following scope: (1) the meaning of study of the yellow book for muslim mother. (2) implementation of the yellow book study in prekbun village. (3) the impact of the study of the yellow book on the observance of worship of muslim women. Thourgh a case study approach, the research reveals that the study is named Quwat (Qur’an and sholawat). Who is guided by acleric as a strengthening understanding of muslim mothers. With the study of the yellow book, the impact felt by muslim mothers is increasing devotion in worship, istiqomah in worship, ad adding to sunnah worship.

Abstract

The study of new student interest in the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Madura reflects prospective students' preferences for various study programs, which are essential to design adaptively in response to social changes and global challenges, including environmental issues. This research focuses on analyzing student interest using big data to understand trends in program selection and its relevance to ecological education in language learning. The research employs a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis, utilizing Python programming and libraries such as Pandas and Matplotlib for data processing and visualization from 2014 to 2020. The analysis reveals that the Islamic Education Management (MPI) and Islamic Counseling Guidance (BKPI) programs have the highest levels of interest, while the Arabic Language Education (PBA) program is less favored. Most prospective students come from the Madura region with backgrounds in general education and pesantren. Based on these findings, this study recommends the integration of ecological education into popular programs’ curricula to enhance environmental awareness among students. These findings are expected to assist the Tarbiyah Faculty in designing a curriculum that is more responsive to community needs and environmental challenges, while supporting student character development based on ecological and Islamic values.

Abstract

The recognition of Arabic handwriting is a challenging problem to solve. The similarity among the fonts appears as a problem in the recognition processing. Various styles, shapes, and sizes which are personal and different across individuals make the Arabic handwriting recognition process even harder. In this paper, the data used are Arabic handwritten images with 101 sample characters, each of which is written by 15 different handwritten characters (total sample 101x15) with the same size (81x81 pixels). A well-chosen feature is crucial for making good recognition results. In this study, the researcher proposed a method of new features extraction to recognize Arabic handwriting. The features extraction was done by grabbing the value of similar features among various types of font writing, to be used as a new feature of the font. Then, City Block was used to compare the obtained feature to other features of the sample for classification. The Average accuracy value obtained in this study was up to 82%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of religious values ​​in the development of early childhood character and its relation to SDG 4.7 (education for sustainable development) and SDG 16 (inclusive peace and justice). Internalization of religious values ​​is an important foundation for building children's spiritual attitudes through the habit of worship such as prayer, dhikr, and polite behavior. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to systematically identify, evaluate, and interpret relevant literature based on predetermined provisions and limitations. The literature used is limited to the internalization of religious values ​​in the Pamekasan Community. The results of the study show that in Pamekasan, the internalization of religious values ​​is carried out through a synergistic approach to family, educational institutions, and community communities. This process forms the spiritual attitudes of early childhood which are reflected in the practice of worship and civilized social behavior. Internalization of religious values ​​also plays a role in strengthening children's character as part of inclusive and sustainable education, in accordance with the goals of SDG 4.7 and SDG 16. These findings show the importance of cross-sector collaboration in forming a generation that is religious, peace-loving, and just from an early age.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia is a multicultural country with various cultures, ethnicities, languages and religions. Islam is the religion with the most followers in Indonesia. In this case, there are many Muslim leaders in Indonesia who have different perspectives, so that an understanding of cosmopolitan Islamic universalism emerges in Indonesia, in which one of the characters is Nurcholis Madjid and Abdurrahman Wahid. This article will discuss the thoughts of the two figures in cosmopolitan Islamic universalism. The research method used in this research is a library research with the main sources being books, articles and relevant journals. The results of this study are that Islamic universalism according to Gus Dur is divided into three concepts of thought, the first being pluralism, democracy and indigenization. As for Cak Nur's thoughts, he views Islam as Cosmopolitan Universalism in line with Gus Dur's thoughts, which views Islam as a religion of rahmatal lil alamin which rejects the caliphate system because according to both of them what we need to echo is the value of Islam in life in society. Keywords: Universalisme Islam Cosmopolitan, Abdurrahman Wahid, Nurcholis Madjid Abstrak Indonesia merupakan negara multicultural dengan beragam budaya, suku, Bahasa dan agama. Agama Islam merupakan agama dengan pemeluk terbanyak di Indonesia. Dalam hal ini banyak tokoh muslim di Indonesia yang memiliki perspektif yang berbeda-beda, hingga muncullah pemahaman tentang universalisme Islam cosmopolitan di Indonesia, yang mana salah satu tokohnya adalah Nurcholis Madjid dan Abdurrahman Wahid. Artikel ini akan membahas tentang pemikiran kedua tokoh tersebut dalam universalisme Islam cosmopolitan. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah library reseach dengan sumber utama berupa buku, artikel dan jurnal yang relevan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah universalisme Islam menurut gus Dur terbagi dalam tiga konsep pemikiran yang pertama pluralisme, demokrasi dan pribumisasi. Adapun dalam pemikiran Cak Nur memandang Islam Universalisme Cosmopolitan selaras dengan pemikiran Gus Dur yang memandang Islam sebagai agama rahmatal lil alamin yang menolak system khilafah karena menurut keduanya yang perlu kita gaungkan adalah nilai Islam dalam kehidupan ditengah masyarakat.
