Abstract

Abstract UMKM Bolu Kak Ira is one of the micro, small and medium enterprises engaged in the production of sponge cakes in Kampar Regency. Even though they have quality products, these MSMEs face challenges in managing an efficient and effective supply chain, especially in dealing with fluctuations in demand and managing raw materials. This community service program aims to implement integrated supply chain management in Bolu Kak Ira UMKM, in order to increase operational efficiency and market competitiveness. Activities carried out include initial analysis of supply chain conditions, preparation of inventory management strategies, human resource training, and implementation of simple information technology for stock monitoring and control. The results of this program show increased efficiency in managing raw materials, reduced operational costs, and increased customer satisfaction. Apart from that, Bolu Kak Ira UMKM are able to respond to changes in market demand more quickly and accurately. Through this program, it is hoped that Bolu Kak Ira UMKM can continue to develop and contribute more to the local economy, as well as becoming an example for other UMKM in implementing effective supply chain management.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a basic need that has not been fully met in Gema Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. Based on the results of observations, the quality of community well water is still low, especially in Hamlet II, with water that is cloudy, oily, and smelly. This problem is caused by the high content of iron, manganese, and organic materials, as well as the lack of community knowledge about clean water standards and processing techniques. This community service activity aims to improve community knowledge and skills in processing unsuitable water into water that can be used for household needs. The implementation method includes counseling, appropriate technology training, and direct assistance in the field. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the importance of clean water and the ability to assemble and use simple filters. The community was also active in the training process and monitoring the quality of processed water. This program has succeeded in providing a positive impact on the quality of life of the community and supporting the realization of a clean and healthy lifestyle in the village.

Abstract

The handicraft work area in Vocational High Schools (SMK) often fails to consider the suitability of table and chair dimensions with students' body measurements. This mismatch poses risks such as muscle fatigue, back pain, and reduced comfort and learning productivity. This community service project aims to redesign the handicraft work area based on students’ anthropometric data to create an ergonomic environment that supports healthy and productive learning. The methods include collecting students’ anthropometric data, analyzing furniture suitability, conducting ergonomic education sessions, and simulating the use of redesigned tables and chairs. The activity was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah, Tuah Madani Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City, involving 20 students and 5 handicraft teachers. The results showed an increase in ergonomic awareness, identification of furniture mismatches, and positive acceptance of the new design, which provides greater comfort and supports handicraft learning activities.

Abstract

Effective waste management requires the support of an efficient logistics system, especially in school environments that generate waste on a daily basis. This community service activity aimed to provide education on logistics efficiency in sustainable waste management to students of SMK Perbankkan Riau. The methods used included socialization, interactive discussions, waste management supply chain simulations, and assistance in implementing the 3R system (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The results showed an 85% increase in students’ understanding of green logistics concepts, waste collection management, and waste reduction. In addition, the school has begun implementing waste segregation at the source, efficient transportation scheduling, and the processing of organic waste into compost. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step toward fostering an environmentally conscious culture and logistics efficiency in schools.
