Abstract

The objective of this research is to construct a user mode choice model between BRT Mebidang and Sri Lelawangsa railway line, and further to test the sensitivity of trip user choice toward certain change in attributes value. Data were collected using stated preference survey, and analysed using logit biner model. Based on user responses, it was found that 50.96% trip purpose is related to family/social matter, while the main reason to travel using both modes is convenience. The tility function of Mebidang bus is given as follow: UBM-KA = 7.256 - 0.565X1 - 0.031X2 + 0.101X3 - 0.071X4 + 0.088X5 where X1 is cost, X2 is time, X3 is headway, X4 is accesstime, dan X5 is service quality. The model shows that cost, time, and access time negatively affect Mebidang bus utility thus will lower the probability of user choosing bus over rail. In terms of sensitivity, access time and service quality are considered more sensitive in affecting the probability of choosing bus.

Abstract

Mount Sinabung located in Karo regency North sumatera has continuously been erupting since 2010, generating vast amount of waste in the form of volcanic ash. This research aims to investigate the feasibility of utilizing this volcanic ash in asphalt mixture. We used volcanic ash to replace the conventional filler material from stone crush. Sinabung volcanic ash has lower specific gravity,therefore could fill more void in the asphalt mixture, which can affect the value of Marshall test criteria. Asphalt mixture in this study uses the procedure of Hot Mix Asphalt with mixing temperature ranging from 135°C - 150°C. The result shows that the use of Sinabung volcanic ash is feasible to replace the conventional stone crush filler material in these conditions: optimum asphalt content is 6.85%; percentage of volcanic ash-stone ash 50%-50%. According to national standards issued by Bina Marga of Ministry of Public works, the following values comply with the required value. Bulk density density 2.416 kg/cm3, air void 4.724%, Void in Mineral Aggregat 18.667 Void Fillet withAsphalt 74.706%, stability 1000,992 kg, Marshall quotient 3.132 kN/mm, and flow 3.133 mm.

Abstract

In the city of Medan, bus shelter where passengers could wait for Angkot (local paratransit) to stop has not been fully utilized. In this study, we evaluate the effectiveness of bus shelters along main corridor in Medan. The evaluation is conducted based on official government standard, occupancy level, and also user perception. We have surveyed 35 shelters, among which 16 stops (45.71%) are mid-block, 8 stops (22.86%) are farside, and 11 types (31.43%) are near-side. In accordance with bus stop standards, only 9 stops (25.71%) are considered . The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence the use of shelters in waiting for Angkot are as follows: awareness about shelters location, distance to reach shelters, waiting times at shelters, shelter facilities. The effectiveness of using bus stops in Medan City is 32.58%, which means the shelter in this corridor is considered veryineffective (between 20.10% -40.00%).

Abstract

In developing countries, the uncontrolled rise of private vehicle ownership, such as motorcycles, constitutes a great deal of air pollution in the city. While the motorcycle is quite convenient, public transport lacks many qualities, and for some cities, like Medan, they are limited to paratransit. This study aims to reach an understanding of motorcycle riders’ perception of the existing paratransit and its relation to their reasoning to choose the two-wheelers daily. We utilized a structured questionnaire and interviewed 456 daily-commuting riders to assess 13 service aspects of the existing paratransit and their primary reason for using a motorcycle. Our findings suggest that riders collectively agree that affordable fare, easy to find, and short walking distance are the best trait of the existing public transport in Medan. Meanwhile, travel time, time-availability, and hygienic issues are reported to be the most hindering aspects. This perspective is consistent with riders’ reasoning behind their mode choice, which is based primarily on time efficiency. This research highlights the comparison of riders’ need in commuting and their opinion about the existing paratransit. While it is yet interesting to learn how those aspects weigh in with each other, the result of this study still offers prudent recommendations in developing mode-shifting strategic policies to encourage more public transportation use in Medan city.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 mengubah perilaku manusia yang berakibat menurunnya pergerakan manusia dan barang dari satu tempat ke tempat lain untuk tujuan tertentu di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kinerja operasional moda bus trans Mebidang trayek Lubuk Pakam-Pusat Pasar Medan serta menganalisis tarif berdasarkan pendapatan dan biaya operasional kendaraan (BOK) selama pandemi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pedoman teknis Dirjen Perhubungan Darat tahun 2002 sebagai indikator kinerja operasional serta perhitungan tarif. Terdapat penurunan kinerja, tetapi cenderung dapat dianggap wajar. Beberapa kinerja operasional Trans Mebidang pada rute ini yang memenuhi standar adalah kecepatan, waktu tempuh, interval waktu tunggu penumpang. Sementara itu, yang tidak memenuhi adalah load factor rata-rata, headway, waktu pelayanan, frekuensi layanan kendaraan. Kinerja operasional Trans Mebidang rute ini dapat dinyatakan “sedang”, dengan nilai rata-rata 1,9 (dari 3). Penyesuaian tarif masih dapat dilakukan untuk meringankan masyarakat, tetapi hal ini perlu mempertimbangkan ketika pandemi dan pembatasan semakin parah.

Abstract

Analisis biaya merupakan bagian penting dari manajemen biaya proyek untuk memastikan bahwa biaya yang digunakan dan dikeluarkan sesuai dengan perencanaan dan anggaran. Berbagai kegiatan dalam proyek dapat dikontrol dan dipantau untuk memastikan bahwa hasil implementasi sesuai anggaran dan akuntansi biaya efektif Semua biaya langsung dan tidak langsung yang terkait dengan pekerjaan konstruksi bangunan biasanya dikategorikan sebagai biaya pekerjaan, biaya material, biaya alat dan peralatan, biaya overhead, dan keuntungan. Anlisis waktu di lapangan diharapkan dapat menjaga waktu dilaksanakannya proyek supaya sesuai dengan rencana waktu yang telah disusun sebelum pelaksanaan dimulai. Hal ini bertujuan agar rencana waktu yang ada dapat digunakan sebagai tolak ukur pelaksanaan untuk menentukan kemajuan pekerjaan. Dalam pengendalian waktu Saat melaksanakan suatu proyek, alat jadwal pelaksanaan seperti Bagan Gantt dapat digunakan untuk menentukan apakah proyek akan terlambat atau tidak serta formula kontrol perencanaan yang lebih rinci tersedia untuk peralatan, bahan, dan pengguna individual (subkontraktor). pekerjaan struktur rangka atap menggunakan metode portal truss membutuhkan biaya yang lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan struktur rangka atap baja portal frame. Akan tetapi keuntungan dari waktu pengerjaanya akan lebih cepat dan memiliki bentang yang lebih panjang dibandingkan dengan portal frame.

Abstract

Kebijakan Pemerintah Sumatera Utara menghapuskan hasil pemeriksaan COVID-19 negatif untuk menggunakan kereta api berpotensi mengembalikan dan meningkatkan kondisi jumlah penumpang. Untuk itu, penting bagi pengelola KA, dalam hal ini KA Siantar Ekspres, untuk mengevaluasi layanannya pasca COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepuasan penumpang terhadap kualitas layanan kereta api pasca-COVID-19 pada rute Medan-Pematang Siantar, dengan fokus pada standar pelayanan minimum (SPM) serta parameter kenyamanan seperti tempat duduk, waktu tempuh, dan faktor muat. Metode IPA digunakan untuk mengkategorikan sebelas indikator layanan ke dalam prioritas peningkatan layanan. Sebanyak 342 responden penumpang telah disurvei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan penumpang KA Siantar Ekspres pasca-pandemi cukup baik, dengan indikator waktu keberangkatan dan waktu tempuh perjalanan yang perlu dipertahankan. Namun, prioritas peningkatan utama adalah kenyamanan bangku penumpang, penyediaan informasi, dan kecepatan layanan Customer Service di gerbong KA.

Abstract

The Catholic University of Santo Thomas conducts the election of the Chancellor by all lecturers and educational staff as well as the Higher Education Senate, by deliberation and voting to elect candidates for the chancellor (lecturers who have met certain qualifications). The implementation system for selecting Candidate Chancellors from its establishment until the 2016-2020 period is still using a manual / conventional system where this system is impossible to implement because the Covid-19 Pandemic period has not ended. Enforcement of Large-Scale Social Restrictions, a regulation issued by the Ministry of Health in the figures for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19 recorded in the Minister of Health Regulation No.9 of 2020 restricts the movement of humans to carry out their daily tasks. Rapid Application Development (RAD) as an alternative to the System Development Life Cycle is often used to overcome delays that occur when using conventional methods and is used to build applications to solve these problems. The test results illustrate that there are 115 people (50%) from a total of 230 lecturers and staff of Unika Santo Thomas who are interested / participating in testing the application. On the day of the election, the prospective chancellor indicated that the total number of voters was 230 people, with details of participating as many as 166 people (72.17%) and not exercising their voting rights as many as 64 people (27.83%). This shows an improvement compared to the time of testing.

Abstract

Around 15,352 families (42.66 percent) in Samosir Regency still have access to clean water, which is still a rather low percentage compared to the remaining 20,638 families (57.34 percent) who do not. The local government is concerned with this situation in order to create the BUMD PDAM Samosir Regency. This research was done to see if it would be possible to start a local water firm in Samosir Regency. In order to determine whether there is a potential water source that is adequate, sustainable, and manageable economically and profitably in the context of public services, as well as whether the establishment of PDAM Samosir Regency is worth reviewing, interviews and questionnaires were distributed to the community, SPAM owners, and State Civil Servants. In addition to socioeconomic factors, there are financial factors, market factors, legal factors, managerial factors, organizational factors, and technical factors. Legal, social and economic, technical, and notably from economic considerations with IRR = 72.32> I = 12 percent / year, PP = 3.34, and BCR = 6.27, BUMD PDAM Samosir Regency is viable to be founded

Abstract

Transportasi penyeberangan menggunakan kapal ferry merupakan moda utama untuk mencapai Pulau Samosir melalui berbagai pelabuhan di Danau Toba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kinerja (performance) pelayanan dan tingkat kepentingan (importance) penumpang kapal ferry di Pulau Samosir menggunakan metode Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) dan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei terhadap 1.081 responden dari enam kapal ferry pada tiga rute: Tigaras–Simanindo, Ajibata–Tomok, dan Ajibata–Ambarita. Kuesioner disusun berdasarkan standar pelayanan minimum sesuai Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan No. 62 Tahun 2019, dengan skala Likert sebagai alat ukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara harapan dan persepsi penumpang terhadap layanan yang diberikan. Lima dari enam kapal menunjukkan tingkat kinerja yang lebih rendah dibanding tingkat kepentingan, mengindikasikan ketidakpuasan. Nilai ketidakpuasan tertinggi diperoleh KMP Pora-Pora (3,98), diikuti oleh KMP Ihan Batak (3,90), KMP Sumut 1 (3,80), KMP Sumut 2 (3,79), dan KMP Tao Toba 2 (3,79). Hasil ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan layanan berdasarkan prioritas atribut yang belum memenuhi ekspektasi penumpang.
