Abstract

The research aimed to describe the forms of the code mixing, switching, and interference at State Senior High School 6 (SMAN) Maros, Bontoa District, Maros Regency, Sulawesi Selatan. This was a qualitative descriptive research examining linguistic phenomena with the sociolinguistic approach Data resource were the speeches used by the teachers of the study programs of Religious Education, Natural Science, Social Science, Physic Education, Indonesian language, mathematics, and all the speeches of the students involving in the learning process which contained the code mixing, switching, and interference. Data were collected by the non-participative observation. While the data were also collected by the scrutinized technique of the free involving conversation, recording technique, and note-taking. The classified data were then analysed by the qualitative descriptive analysis method.The research result indicates that the code mixing forms are: verb, adverb, conjunction, reduplication, personal pronouns, and phrases, whereas the code switching is in the forms of independent clauses, coordinative clauses, and sentences. and the interferences are: addition of klitika, mi, pi, ji, phoneme removal, addition of phoneme, replacement of phoneme /i/ into /e/ and phoneme /u/ to /o/. The code mixing, switching, and interference occur in the learning process at State Senior High School (SMAN) Maros, Bontoa District, Maros Regency, Sulawesi Selatan. performed by the teachers, students from Indonesian language into Makassar dialect .

Abstract

This study aims to explain the forms of ecological wisdom in the lexicon of jungle language regarding forest ecosystems, subsistence fulfillment, and naming and interpreting flora and fauna. This research was a qualitative research. The research data were in the form of the jungle lexicon related to forest ecosystems, subsistence, flora and fauna. Data were obtained from the Jungle people gathered in Ketemenggungan Makekal Hulu. Data were collected using ethnographic interviewing techniques, participant observation, and the application of ecolinguistic knowledge in praxis. The data analysis technique used in this study refered to the principle of the ethnographic method proposed by Spradley (2006), namely the research data that had been obtained through interviews and participant observation was coded so that the data source can still be traced. Then the data inside contained some local terms in the language of the jungle lexicon being transliterated. Furthermore, data were classified and analyzed based on ecolinguistic theory. After that, the data were presented in the form of in-depth descriptions and conclusions based on the results of the study. The discussions of the results of this study outlines three problems based on the formulation of the problem, namely (1) forms of ecological wisdom in the Jungle language lexicon relating to forest ecosystems including: changes in weather and disasters, about types of rain, time according to jungle people, rivers and regulation, and the classification and treatment of forest areas; (2) forms of ecological wisdom in the jungle lexicon that are related to subsistence fulfillment, namely behuma ‘farming’, beburu ‘hunting’, gathering (collecting forest product); and (3) the forms of ecological wisdom in the lexicon of the jungle language, which relates to the naming and meaning of flora and fauna, out of the fifteen flora described the origin of their names and meanings, seven of which have no scientific names yet, as well as the fifteen outlined, eleven of them have also not been identified.

Abstract

 This research discusses the English code-switching that occurs in the drama Goji Kara Kuji Made, which is the source of the research data. This research aims to: 1) explain the code-switching that occurs in the television drama Goji Kara Kuji Made, and 2) describe the factors that cause code-switching and the function of code-switching that appears in the television drama Goji Kara Kuji Made. This study used the descriptive-qualitative method. The theoretical framework referred to is based on the theory developed by Holmes (2008). Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the factors causing code-switching are background, topic, the purpose of the interaction, and lexical borrowing. Meanwhile, the functions found in this research are solidarity, group membership, creating distance, quotation marks, emphasizing certain messages, affective functions, and filling lexical needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas implikasi tindak pencemaran nama baik merupakan fokus penelitian dalam konteks hukum pidana di media sisal tik tok. Istilah ini dapat merujuk pada perbuatan menyerang kehormatan dan nama baik seseorang dengan berbagai bentuk, baik secara lisan maupun tertulis. Pencemaran nama baik diatur dalam Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) dan Undang-undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik. Dalam konteks media sosial, linguistik forensik menjadi relevan dalam analisis bahasa yang digunakan dalam kasus pencemaran nama baik. Kebebasan berbahasa di media sosial dapat menimbulkan indikasi pencemaran nama baik, dan data linguistik seperti kata, frasa, dan kalimat digunakan untuk memahami dan mengidentifikasi tindakan tersebut. Linguistik forensik memiliki peran penting dalam menjembatani antara ilmu bahasa dan hukum, terutama dalam konteks penyelesaian kasus hukum yang melibatkan aspek kebahasaan. Pencemaran nama baik menjadi salah satu fokus studi dalam linguistik forensik, di mana analisis bahasa dapat membantu memahami, mengidentifikasi, dan menangani kasus-kasus tersebut.

Abstract

One of the ethnic groups that is known for its cultural strength is the Dayak ethnic group, which is widely spread in East Kalimantan Province. The Dayak ethnic group has local wisdom that is synonymous with the forest environment. Almost all of their activities depend on forests, including their source of food. Forest management as agricultural land reflects a uniform cultural process in the Dayak ethnic agricultural system. They use the word burn with nutung vocabulary which is different from burning food, such as pisak, tinuq, and kahang in several Dayak language dialects. This burn vocabulary is seen in 6 Dayak languages in East Kalimantan, namely Dayak Kenyah, Dayak Bahau, Dayak Benuaq, Dayak Tunjung, Dayak Punan, and Dayak Penihing/Aoheng. These six Dayak languages differentiate the word burn for the context of burning land and burning food. Ideologically, these two words are included in the cognitive system of Dayak speakers. Sociologically, they can carry out customary regulations well. Biologically, the use of these two words can maintain the relationship of all flora and fauna in the forest ecosystem. Therefore, these two words are linguistic evidence of the concept of environmental preservation in the Dayak language. AbstrakSalah satu etnis yang terkenal kekentalan budayanya adalah etnis Dayak yang banyak tersebar di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Etnis Dayak memiliki kearifan lokal yang identik dengan lingkungan hutan. Hampir semua aktivitas mereka bergantung pada hutan, termasuk sumber lahan pangan mereka. Pengelolaan hutan sebagai lahan pertanian mencerminkan proses budaya yang seragam dalam sistem pertanian etnis Dayak. Mereka menggunakan kata bakar atau membakar dengan kosakata nutung yang berbeda dengan membakar makanan, seperti pisak, tinuq, kahang dalam beberapa dialek bahasa Dayak. Kosakata bakar ini dilihat dari enam bahasa Dayak di Kalimantan Timur, yakni bahasa Dayak Kenyah, Dayak Bahau, Dayak Benuaq, Dayak Tunjung, Dayak Punan, dan Dayak Penihing/Aoheng. Keenam bahasa Dayak ini membedakan kata bakar untuk konteks membakar lahan dan membakar makanan. Secara ideologi, kedua kata ini sudah termasuk dalam sistem kognitif penutur bahasa Dayak. Secara sosiologis, mereka mampu menjalankan regulasi adat dengan baik. Secara biologis, penggunaan kedua kata tersebut dapat menjaga hubungan semua flora dan fauna dalam ekosistem hutan. Oleh karena itu, kedua kata ini menjadi bukti linguistik adanya konsep pemeliharaan lingkungan dalam bahasa Dayak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan representasi tanda dalam ungkapan pemmali bagi masyarakat Bugis di Kabupaten Barru. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Temuannya yaitu dalam masyarakat ditemukan beberapa pemmali berupa larangan yang sebenarnya dimaksudkan untuk mendidik, namun dalam penyampaiannya justru diungkapkan dengan menyampaikan konsekuensi yang berbeda. Pemali merupakan bagian dari tabu yang masih banyak dipercaya oleh sebagian orang. Bagi orang yang percaya pemali, hal buruk yang terjadi sering kali dikaitkan dengan perilaku atau ucapan orang yang mengalaminya. Dalam pemmali terdapat tanda-tanda yang merepresentasikan kesepakatan sosial masyarakat Desa Pancana, yaitu: 1) kepala sebagai simbol kehormatan seseorang, sementara kaki bagian tubuh yang menyentuh tanah sehingga harus dijaga agar tetap sopan, 2) pintu dipercaya sebagai tempat masuknya hal baik seperti rejeki dan hal buruk seperti setan, 3) orang yang sedang hamil dianggap sebagai representasi dari dirinya dan anaknya, sehingga diharuskan menjaga tingkah laku danbersikap, termasuk yang dikenakan dan dimakan selama kehamilan, 4) menyerupai orang meninggal dilarang karena dianggap sebagai doa, 5) makanan dan minuman adalah rejeki yang harus dihargai dengan cara diperlakukan dengan baik, termasuk alas yang digunakan, 6) dipercaya manusia hidup berdampingan dengan makhluk halus sehingga harus selalu menjaga diri agar tidak mendapat gangguan dari mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemerolehan bahasa Moi berdasarkan jenis kelamin, umur, tingkat pendidikan, dan jenis pekerjaan responden. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan penutur bahasa Moi yang ada di kota Sorong. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 168 orang dan dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara. Data penelitian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualtitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat Daya pada bulan April 2022 - September 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase pemerolehan tertinggi bahasa Moi secara berturu-turut terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat, keluarga dan melalui media. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa ada upaya pemertahanan bahasa Moi yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Moi. Di sisi lain, persentase penggunaan bahasa Moi di lingkungan keluarga lebih rendah daripada penggunaan bahasa Indonesia. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya gejala pergeseran bahasa Moi yang terjadi pada suku Moi terutama di ranah keluarga. Kata Kunci: Bahasa, Pemerolehan, Sorong, Suku Moi.

Abstract

The scientific writing training for teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Parepare was conducted in response to the low capacity of teachers to produce publishable academic works. A total of 30 teachers participated in the program, which employed an audiovisual-based Jigsaw approach characterized by collaboration and interactivity. The training methods included lectures, expert and home group discussions, writing simulations, and evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated an increase in teachers’ motivation and competence in developing scientific writing structures and components. The drafts produced demonstrated a solid understanding of academic structure and writing skills grounded in school-based instructional practices. This program not only enhanced teachers’ scientific literacy but also promoted sustained collaboration through the establishment of teacher working groups and supportive school policies. These findings underscore the significance of the Jigsaw-AV approach in improving teacher professionalism and overall educational quality.
