Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences between the Discovery Learning learning model and the Self Directed Learning method on the problem solving abilities of XI grade students at SMK Negeri one Kuok. This type of research is quantitative research, with the research model used is Quasi Experiment. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMK Negeri one Kuok with a total of ninety-nine students. The sampling technique used was a random sample technique. The research subjects were divided into two, namely class XI TPHP as a Discovery Learning class and class XI ATP as a Self Directed Learning class. Retrieval of research data using a posttest instrument that has been validated. The results showed that the TPHP this means that there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes between students of the Discovery Learning and Self-Directed Learning models on the Problem Solving Ability of Class XI Students at SMK Negeri satu Kuok.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is the ability that students must have to face 21st-century challenges. Related to this, students have learning styles that influence the way students absorb and process information, namely: Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This research focuses on describing the mathematical literacy of junior high school students in each indicator classified from the visual learning style. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The steps in this study were to compile the learning style questionnaire sheet and mathematical literacy tests; ask students to fill out questionnaires and ability tests; and analyze the results of the learning style questionnaire and student answers on mathematical literacy tests. The subject of the study consisted of 49 class VIII junior high school students, and then the subject was reduced to 6 students. The findings show that: 1) Students with visual learning styles have mathematical literacy in the range of levels 1 to level 2; 2) Visual students have characteristics of answering briefly and difficulty choosing words. The results of this study can be used as consideration in determining treatment in the teaching and learning process in class to increase student mathematical literacy.

Abstract

Kesulitan dalam belajar dapat disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor internal maupun faktor-faktor eksternal. Faktor internal adalah faktor yang berasal dari dalam diri individu mahasiswa sendiri, baik yang bersifat biologis maupun psikologis. Faktor ekternal yaitu faktor yang berasal dari luar individu mahasiswa, antara lain berupa lingkungan alam fisis dan lingkungan sosial. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesulitan mahasiswa dalam matakuliah statistka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Strategi untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar statistika pada mahasiswa dibutuhkan peran dari pendidik untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar statistika tersebut. Selain itu hal yang paling penting yakni kemauan dari dalam diri mahasiswa untuk bisa berubah. Ini merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk menghilangkan kesulitan belajar statistika mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi perlunya pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru di sekolah dasar agar kualitas guru yang bersangkutan bisa terus dipertahankan bahkan ditingkatkan. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Responden berjumlah 11 guru dengan komposisi 5 guru laki-laki dan 6 guru perempuan. Tahapan penelitian pralapangan, lapangan, dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kompetensi profesional guru di sekolah dasar berada pada kategori sedang. Perlu pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru sekolah dasar secara berkelanjutan agar kompetensi profesional guru yang bersangkutan bisa dipertahankan bahkan ditingkatkan. Pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru sekolah dasar bisa dikembangkan melalui pengoptimalan kelompok kerja guru yang diadakan secara periodik setiap minggunya dengan mendatangkan ahli dari perguruan tinggi. Kompetensi profesional guru yang harus terus dikembangkan salah satunya adalah keterampilan penguasaan teknologi dan informasi.

Abstract

This service activity aims to socialize tips for writing international journals and introduce international journals for mathematics education for mathematics education student. The service method is divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the reporting stage. Based on the stages of activities that have been planned, community service activities are produced, such as: (1) the preparatory stage is to produce materials and community service instruments. The material produced is in the form of international journal tips, and getting to know international journals in mathematics education. In addition, the resulting instrument is a participant response questionnaire which will be given at the end of the activity; (2) the implementation phase resulted in the introduction of international journals, international journals for mathematics education, and the requirements for writing international journals (3) the reporting stage resulted in an analysis report and evaluation of all processes of community service activities. In conclusion, the results of the dedication show that the students are very happy and well received, so that this workshop has been able to provide a clear picture regarding the tips of international journals (know international journals for mathematics education. Finally, students are expected to be able to get to know international journals for mathematics education well and right.

Abstract

This research is based on the problems that exist in schools namely the lack of student interest in learning mathematics and this requires an innovation of learning media used in schools during the teaching and learning process. This study aims to produce quality instrument validation that will be used in assessing mathematics learning videos based on the wondershare filmora software. This development research uses the Plomp model. The Plomp model consists of 3 stages, preliminary research, prototyping stage and assessment stage. The subjects of this research are 3 expert validators who are competent in their respective fields. This study uses instrument validity, practicality and effectiveness. The research data were collected using observation sheets, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are preliminary data analysis, data validity analysis, data practicality analysis, and data effectiveness analysis. the results of the assessment sheet of interview questions, observations and questionnaires using instrument validation state that these three things are in the very valid category, so that interviews, observations and questionnaires have been used to obtain data and information on the study.

Abstract

Model Eliciting Activities (MEA) is an activity to create or build models and modeling perspectives for mathematical connections in mathematics education. This study aims to determine research trends from generating activities to mathematical connection abilities and to see opportunities for future research based on VOSviewer. This study used bibliometric analysis, the data in this study were obtained through Google Scholar using publish or perish from 2013 to 2023 with the keyword eliciting activities. It was found that the research trend of eliciting activities on mathematical connection abilities in Full Counting Density Visualization contained 54 terms related to mathematical connection abilities. The density display model shows that the most research related to eliciting activities is eliciting open-ended activities, learning outcomes, hots and cognitive styles which are marked in bright yellow. The brighter the yellow color, the more research has been done. While the research that is still small is the ability of mathematical connections, problem solving abilities and critical thinking which are marked with dim colors. Thus, the opportunity to carry out the latest research to retrieve these items can be done because they are rarely studied.

Abstract

Validitas instrumen penelitian adalah aspek penting dalam memastikan kualitas suatu penelitian. Dalam konteks penelitian yang berfokus pada pengaruh pendekatan Ethno-RME terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota, validitas instrumen menjadi elemen utama untuk menjamin keakuratan dan keandalan data yang dikumpulkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen tes penelitian eksperimen. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari peserta didik kelas VII E di SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota sebanyak 28 peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan untuk menguji validitas tes adalah korelasi product moment, dan reliabilitas tes menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 22. Hasil dari penelitian ini secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penelitian memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas tes yang tinggi. Dengan demikian instrument ini dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur pengaruh pendekatan Ethno-RME terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik dengan tingkat kepercayaan yang baik.

Abstract

Mathematical concepts are often used in everyday life. The term that refers to mathematical concepts in cultural concepts is ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics is a science used to understand how mathematics is adapted from a culture. This research discusses the exploration of ethnomathematics contained in the process of making Caping crafts in Kampar Regency. This research aims to explore the ethnomathematics concept found in Caping crafts in Kampar Regency. This type of research is qualitative with data collection obtained from observation, documentation and interviews related to Caping crafts in Kampar Regency. The results of the research show that: The mathematical concept that exists in the Caping making process is the geometry of flat shapes, namely equilateral triangles, circles and rectangles. The geometric shape of a space is a cone. Transformation geometry is reflection.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pengembangan LKPD yang berkaitan dengan Masjid Jami pada materi bangun ruang SMP kelas VIII, untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep matematika serta menjelaskan validitas, praktikalitas dan efisiensi. Perkembangan LKPD. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dan pengembangan merupakan suatu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk membuat produk tertentu dan menguji efektivitas produk tersebut. Produk yang akan dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah LKPD Jami dengan konteks masjid pada materi konstruksi SMP Kelas VIII. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model pengembangan Tjeerd Plomp. Model pengembangan Plomp terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu. penelitian pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan atau prototipe dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk LKPD yang valid, praktis dan berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan siswa. Pada penelitian ini hasil validitas LKPD berada pada aspek materi dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,93 dengan kategori sangat valid, aspek kebahasaan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 1,00 dengan kategori sangat valid, dan aspek kegrafikan dengan nilai rata-rata 1,00 dengan kategori sangat valid. nilai 0,93 berada pada kategori sangat valid. Tingkat kepraktisan LKPD dengan nilai 86,89% pada kategori sangat praktis dan efektivitas LKPD dalam pemahaman konsep belajar siswa rata-rata 0,79 efektif pada kelas VIII.K dan 0,73 efektif pada kategori VIII.
