Abstract

Poor management of the education system can cause a decrease in school quality. Moreover, the increasing of similar institutions in early childhood education (ECE) in Indonesia gives a school must have good resilience. These institutions must ensure that the educational programs they provide to children are of high quality, thus earning the trust of preschool parents. This article aimed to highlight the importance of paying attention to school management. Therefore, schools that already have good resilience need to be studied to have an impact on schools that are in the stagnant category. The method used was a case study with in-depth interviews. The results indicate that the resilience schools use four strategies to remain resilient. These strategies include having quality human resources, unique school programs, and school promotion. The research results highlight the importance of quality human resource management, superior programs such as foreign language learning and international curricula, and effective promotion in maintaining the resilience of educational institutions amidst competition.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionize education in Indonesia by improving its quality and accessibility. The current study employed a Systematics Literature Review (SLR) method to analyze the impact of AI implementation in education. The findings revealed that AI can support adaptive learning, provide accurate assessments, and personalize the students' learning experiences. However, limited infrastructure, data privacy concerns, and the digital divide remain significant challenges. Effective utilization of AI requires teacher training and clear ethical policies to protect student privacy. By integrating AI technology, the education system of Indonesia can foster a more innovative and responsive learning environment, equipping students to face the challenges of the digital era. The current study also recommended that collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and private sectors is needed to maximize the potential of AI in education.

Abstract

AbstrakPeningkatan daya saing lembaga pendidikan menjadi kebutuhan mendesak, terutama bagi sekolah swasta yang harus bersaing dengan minimnya bantuan pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi guru terhadap pelatihan manajemen lembaga di TK ABA. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap lima partisipan yang telah mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memperoleh pengetahuan strategi promosi, perubahan keyakinan dalam pengelolaan lembaga, strategi mengimplementasikan manajemen, dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat manajemen lembaga. Implikasi penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan dukungan eksternal untuk memperkuat manajemen sekolah, sehingga daya saing lembaga dapat terus ditingkatkan.Teachers' Perceptions of Institutional Management Training to Improve Private School CompetitivenessAbstractIncreasing the competitiveness of educational institutions is an urgent need, especially for private schools that have to compete with minimal government assistance. This study aims to explore teachers' perceptions of institutional management training at ABA Kindergarten. Using a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five participants who had attended the training. The results showed that teachers gained knowledge of promotion strategies, changes in beliefs in institutional management, strategies for implementing management, and supporting and inhibiting factors for institutional management. The implications of this study highlight the importance of ongoing training and external support to strengthen school management, so that institutional competitiveness can continue to be improved.

Abstract

Every stage in human development has different phase. Not only in every stage but also in gender, motor skill has their own characteristics. Moreover, there is a question of the validity and reliability of some tests used by the researcher. The study was conducted in Purworejo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. A total of 82 children enrolled in this study, including 12 children aged between 3-4 years, 36 children aged between 4 and 5 years, and 34 children aged between 5 and 6 years. The test of gross motor development-second (TGMD-2) edition was used to evaluate gross motor skill. Independent T-test was used to analyzed the final result. The findings of this study demonstrated that the boys have higher gross motor skills performance than the girls. The school can use this fact to plan curriculum that not based in gender. School must be a campaign system for gender equality

Abstract

Banyak anak dengan ADHD mungkin memiliki berbagai macam kesulitan komunikasi karena mereka tidak memiliki gangguan bahasa yang terdiagnosis. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk meningkatkan kesadaran untuk mengetahui potensi kekurangan pragmatis dan bahasa pada anak-anak dengan ADHD dan menemukan intervensi yang tepat untuk anak-anak dengan gangguan pragmatis dan/atau bahasa dengan ADHD. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan fonologi pada anak ADHD yang berusia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sistematik literatur review (SLR). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat tiga kesalahan fonoogi yang ditunjukkan oleh anak dengan ADHD. Ketiga kesalahan tersebut adalah mencampurkan kata dari bahasa lokal, kesalahan asembling, dan pengucapan fonem yang tidak lengkap. Implikasi hasil penelitian akan dibahas lebih lanjut pada artikel ini.

Abstract

Moral education in Indonesia has gained increased importance, particularly following the implementation of the Independent Curriculum by the Ministry of Education and Culture across all educational levels, including preschool. However, moral education has not received sufficient instructional focus in early childhood settings. Addressing this gap requires examining relevant theoretical frameworks, one of which is Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. This study aims to assess the applicability of Kohlberg’s theory to the context of moral education in Indonesian preschools. Employing a literature review approach, the study finds that current practices in early childhood moral education in Indonesia do not fully align with the principles and stages proposed by Kohlberg. Although preschool-aged children are generally categorized in the pre-conventional stage of moral development according to Kohlberg, several aspects of his theory are not consistently reflected in the observed educational practices. The findings contribute to the discourse by offering a critical perspective on Kohlberg’s theory and its relevance to early childhood moral education in Indonesia—an area that remains underexplored in the literature.

Abstract

Peningkatan keterampilan Bahasa Inggris dilakukan karena tidak adanya mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang merata di SDN Gili Barat. Mata pelajaran ini ada hanya di kelas 2 dan 4 yang dijadikan sebagai muatan lokal. Fokus kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan keterampilan Bahasa Inggris murid SDN Gili Barat menggunakan metode media visual yang berisi 4 amplop berisikan gambar-gambar kata benda. Pengabdian ini bertujuan agar peserta didik mampu memahami dan mengetahui dasar Bahasa Inggris sebagai bekal sebelum diajarkan di tingkat pendidikan beri-kutnya serta sebagai bekal siswa/siswi dalam mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Metode menggunakan media visual ini memberikan hasil naiknya grafik pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh peserta pengajar kepada siswa/siswi di SDN Gili Barat. Selain itu, hasil yang didapatkan yakni siswa/siswi menjadi lebih tertarik belajar menggunakan media tersebut.

Abstract

Kemampuan fisik-motorik dan sosial-emosional adalah kemampuan yang menjadi dasar dan prediktor perkembangan anak di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran permainan tradisional dalam meningkatkan perkembangan fisik-motorik dan sosial-emosional anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur atau kepustakaan. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi review artikel yang relevan dengan rumusan masalah, analisis hasil penelitian, dan deskripsi hasil untuk penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian literatur menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional di berbagai daerah di Indonesia berperan penting dalam mengembangkan fisik-motorik dan sosial-emosional anak usia dini. Hubungan permainan tradisional dengan perkembangan fisik-motorik anak terlihat dari peningkatan kesehatan, kebugaran, dan kemampuan gerak (seperti kekuatan otot, daya tahan, fleksibilitas, kecepatan gerak, koordinasi, keseimbangan, dan kekuatan). Sementara itu, pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan sosial-emosional anak terlihat dari interaksi anak dengan teman sebaya, keterampilan membangun hubungan, keterampilan memecahkan masalah, sosialisasi, kerja sama, rasa percaya diri, membantu teman, dan kerja sama dalam kelompok.
