Abstract

This study aims to explore the market orientation and marketing strategies applied by Islamic schools in an effort to increase the number of new students. Data was obtained using a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with 15 resource persons consisting of foundation administrators, school leaders, marketing division, public relations and publications as well as teachers. The results showed that the market orientation of Sakinah Boarding School (SBS) is very customer-oriented, proficient in inter-functional coordination and the culture developed in the school is very market-oriented. The marketing strategy implemented covers various aspects, such as the use of social media, strengthening relationships with the community, promotional programs, and the quality of educational services. However, the school has a limited budget for marketing and the lack of understanding of teachers and employees about the importance of marketing orientation in education. This research can be used as a guide for integrated Islamic schools with the Boarding School concept in determining market orientation and marketing strategies and also taken into consideration for further research.

Abstract

As a result of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, teachers have difficulty analyzing and interpreting Learning Outcomes into Learning Objectives) and Learning Objectives Flow. On the other hand, the purpose of community service is training in preparing learning plans based on the Independent Curriculum. The target of this service is the representation of teachers in Early Childhood Education at the Raudlatul Athfal Teachers Association, Parakan Temanggung District, totaling thirty (30) people. The method used in this service activity is socialization and training with an educational approach. The result of this activity is that teachers' understanding of the preparation of learning planning based on the Independent Curriculum has increased. In addition, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high because the material delivered was under their needs. As a follow-up plan for the next service activity, participants need scheduled training from the planning stage to its implementation in learning along with assessments in the form of videos and photos.

Abstract

The parking lot density at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), reflects students' high use of motor vehicles. Various factors, including demographic characteristics, travel patterns, and the availability and limitations of public transportation infrastructure, influence this. However, no specific research has analyzed students' transportation mode choices at the Faculty of Engineering UMY and their impact on the campus parking capacity. This study aims to describe students' demographic and travel characteristics and analyze the parking capacity at the Faculty of Engineering UMY. The methods used were descriptive statistics and cross-tabulation analysis by distributing questionnaires to 98 respondents. The results show that most respondents are male, within the age range of 19-23 years. Most students have an income higher than the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), enabling them to own a private vehicle or pay for transportation costs. The primary transportation mode used by students is motorcycles. Private motorcycles dominate the transportation choice due to their efficiency for short trips (0-15 minutes or 1-7 km). Parking capacity analysis shows that the parking capacity for two-wheeled vehicles at the Faculty of Engineering UMY has exceeded its capacity with a saturation rate 1.21 during peak hours. Meanwhile, the parking facility or four-wheeled vehicles has reached 100%, with a saturation rate of 1, indicating that it is complete but has not exceeded capacity during peak hours. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the choice of transportation mode for students at the Faculty of Engineering UMY is dominated by private vehicles, particularly motorcycles. This condition results in high parking saturation, which calls for transportation management strategies such as improving public transportation accessibility, regulating private vehicle usage policies, and optimizing parking spaces.

Abstract

Teachers are expected to be able to carry out learning in accordance with the merdeka curriculum, including the use of teaching modules in accordance with the provisions of the curriculum. Ideally, teachers can design teaching modules optimally. However, in reality, many teachers are not yet able to create teaching modules merdekaly according to the needs and situations in their learning environment. Several teachers stated that it required additional time, money and energy to compose teaching modules comprehensively, which became an obstacle in preparing teaching modules merdekaly. The Office Management and Business Services Skills Program (MPLB) in Phase F is not included in the Center of Excellence (PK) Vocational School program, part of the merdeka learning program. The aim of this service activity is to strengthen partners' skills in compiling merdeka curriculum teaching modules through several stages: socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation. This devotion was carried out for one week from June 26 to July 3, 2024 offline with 25 teacher participants at State Vocational School 2, Semarang City. The evaluation results show an increase in participants' abilities and skills in compiling Phase F teaching modules according to the existing learning environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing carbon emissions in five ASEAN maritime countries, namely Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, using the Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (P-ARDL) method with data from 1993 to 2023. The variables studied include economic growth, energy intensity, the share of renewable energy, and sector structure using the agriculture industry proxy. Long-term estimates show that GDP per capita growth, energy intensity, and sector structure have a significant positive effect on carbon emissions, while renewable energy has a negative but insignificant effect. In the short term, energy intensity is the most dominant factor increasing emissions, while economic growth, renewable energy, and sector structure have not shown a significant impact. Vietnam and Thailand are still in the early phase of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC), while the Philippines and Malaysia are beginning to show decoupling through energy efficiency and the service sector. Indonesia shows an unstable transition pattern. These findings emphasize the need to improve energy efficiency and accelerate the clean energy transition in ASEAN maritime countries.

Abstract

Katuk is a plant that belongs to the indigenous species that can adapt well in relatively diverse environmental conditions. The following leaves are young shoots used as nutritious food ingredients laktogogum which can increase the amount of breast milk in breastfeeding and warding mothers, the katuk plant can be made into other innovations such as herbal tea.The aim of the study was to determine the effect of drying temperature on the activity of katuk leaf tea. Drying katuk leaf tea is used at temperatures of 40 °C, 50 °C, 60 °C for 1,2,3,4, up to 5 hours. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatments and 5 replications in order to obtain 15 experimental units. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). HThe results of the Two Way ANOVA test at the time of heating show F count = 3.569 and F table = 3.837 so that F count < F table, and at heating temperature shows F count = 38.361 and F table = 4,458 F value > of F crit, it can be concluded that heating time did not have a significant effect while the heating temperature had a significant effect on the water content of katuk leaves. The results showed the water content of 12.093-17.301% so that it still does not meet the requirements set by SNI, namely for the preparation of dry tea it must have a water content of 8% (SNI, 01-3836-2013). Drying rate 0.003-0.02 (g water/g sample.hour). Where the higher the drying rate, the greater the amount evaporated per minute. Ash content 12.22%. Yield 67,567- 98.936%where the greater the total yield value for each temperature and drying time, the more effective and efficient the process for raw materials is. In this study, katuk leaf tea which had the highest yield was dried at 50 oC for 5 hours, with IC50 values between 89 - 7145.6 g / ml. the most found at a drying temperature of 60 oC for 2 hours at 89 g/ml has a very active antioxidant content when compared to temperatures of 40 oC and 50 oC. From the samples tested, the panelists generally liked the katuk leaf tea which was heated at 40 oC for 5 hours. The study of drying rate kinetics resulted in the drying rate constant 2.03 and of the order 0.35.
