Abstract

Purpose: The goal of community service is to improve the level of teacher competency in elementary schools by engaging in community service activities. The objective was to obtain this outcome by concentrating on communication and instructional development. Methodology: The Participatory Action Research (PAR) was chosen as the technique for this community service. Participatory Action Research (PAR) entails the active engagement of community members and relevant stakeholders with the objective of fostering collaborative problem-solving and knowledge acquisition. Results: The community service initiative enhanced the language and communication abilities of teachers. This implies that the training program has been successful in effectively addressing specific areas of teacher competency. Limitations: One obstacle to this training is related to the duration required for implementation. If the implementation time is short, it will produce less than the optimal results in the expected output. Contribution: The community service project implemented a notable enhancement in teacher proficiency in language and communication skills within the context of elementary education. This underscores the imperative for ongoing investment in teacher training to augment the calibration of education.

Abstract

The objective of the Training on CP Analysis, Transforming CP into TP, TP into ATP, and Differentiated Learning at SDIT Babul Huda is to enhance teachers' understanding in designing lesson plans that align with the current curriculum, thereby making the classroom learning process more effective. Additionally, this training aids teachers in comprehending how to implement differentiated learning, which can offer flexibility and increase student engagement in their studies. This activity was attended by 24 teachers from SDIT Babul Huda Siak Hulu. The results of this community service activity indicate that the participants were able to analyze and compose CP, TP, ATP accurately, and they also gained an understanding of how to effectively and appropriately apply differentiated learning

Abstract

This community service program was motivated by the fact that many madrasahs still face difficulties in developing the Madrasah Operational Curriculum (KOM) in line with the Independent Curriculum framework. The main objective was to improve teachers’ competence in designing a contextual and applicable KOM and annual work program in accordance with the latest regulations. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR) through a collaborative workshop involving 22 teachers and education staff of MI Al-Kifayah Pekanbaru. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding, from 70% who had limited knowledge at the beginning to 90% who felt confident in curriculum design after the training. All participants attended the three-day workshop actively, producing a complete KOM document for the 2025/2026 academic year, an integrated annual work program, and an internal curriculum development team. These findings confirm that the PAR-based approach effectively enhanced teachers’ capacities and strengthened participatory-based madrasah governance. The program implies greater institutional independence in curriculum management, improvement of teachers’ digital literacy, and the potential replication of this mentoring model in other madrasahs.

Abstract

The community service program at the Iqra' Tarai Bangun Mosque in Kampar Regency focuses on improving Qur'an reading, with the main objective of improving the Qur'an reading skills of the community around the Iqra' Mosque, especially among mothers. Amidst the current weakness of religious education, especially in Qur'an reading skills, which requires a more innovative, creative, and inclusive approach, this service brings the practice of Tahsin closer to real needs in the field. The methods used include practical methods, questions and answers and discussions, as well as evaluation and feedback with the active involvement of the mothers of the Iqra' Mosque's Islamic study group. The main outcome of this program is an increase in the understanding and skills of mothers in reading the Qur'an. This program has succeeded in showing an increase in the understanding and skills of mothers in the Iqra' Mosque environment in reading the Qur'an. In conclusion, this service program has succeeded in achieving its goal of improving the quality of Qur'an reading by the mothers of the Islamic study group at the Iqra' Mosque by equipping the mothers with the tahsin method.
