Indonesia has implemented a Large-Scale Social Distancing policy, limiting major public activities to control the COVID-19 pandemic. This study investigates the media content information, the perception of its role, and its contribution to forming the general public’s risk perception and protective behavior during this situation. This study was an observational study using a cross-sectional design. Data was collected through an online semi-structured questionnaire using Google Forms. A total of 522 participants were obtained through snowball sampling for two weeks. The data analyzed used the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. The results showed the structural model of media content information and the perception of media’s role in influencing risk perception and protective behavior. Media content information and perception of media’s role directly influence protective behavior significantly. The only perception of the media’s role is that it significantly influences risk perception. Then, risk perception directly influences protective behavior. The structural model of media content information and perception of media’s role in influencing risk perception and protective behavior during COVID-19 when the transition period to the new normal era in Indonesia has been conducted.

Abstract

PKidney disease is the 10th cause of death in Indonesia, namely 42,000 per year. Most of the causes of kidney disease are hypertension, diabetes and kidney inflammation. Teenagers have risky snacking behavior, namely snacks that are high in sugar, salt and fat which affect nutritional status and become a risk factor for non-communicable diseases in the future. The partner of this activity is SMA Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta. Based on the initial study, it was found that most of the knowledge of adolescent nutrition at SMA Muhammadiyah 13 was in the unfavorable category (53.5%). The target of this activity is students who are registered at partner institutions as many as 30 students. The purpose of this community service is to increase youth's knowledge in preventing kidney disease such as consuming healthy snacks and good eating patterns by conducting nutrition education. This activity consists of 3 stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Implementation of activities consists of education and practice. The implementation of the activity was February 3, 2023. The evaluation results showed that there was an increase in the average before and after education, namely 8.03 to 9.73. The results of the statistical test showed that there was a significant difference/effect of education on students' knowledge with p=0.000. There is an increase in students' knowledge about the prevention of acute kidney failure by providing nutrition education. Students are expected to be able to apply a balanced nutritional diet to prevent suffering from kidney failure in the future. Keywords: Nutrition education, youth, kidney disease.

Abstract

According to data from The Tobacco Atlas in 2019, Indonesia has the third highest smoking population in the world after China and India, at 61.5 million smokers, or 22% of the total population in Indonesia. The prevalence of smoking among young people in Indonesia aged 10–18 years has increased from 7.2% in 2013 to 9.1% in 2018. Cigarette advertisements are promotional media that can encourage target consumers to smoke, especially adolescents. Bogor City is one of the cities that has implemented a ban on cigarette advertisements in its area. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of Bogor Mayor Regulation Number 3 of 2014 concerning the prohibition of cigarette product billboards in Bogor City. The theory used in this research is the George C. Edward III theory, and this type of research uses a descriptive-qualitative method. The research data sources are primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews (12 sources), document review, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the cigarette advertising ban policy in Bogor City was still not implemented optimally. This was because communication had not been carried out properly by policy implementers in carrying out this mayoral regulation. Staff resources still lack personnel in their fields. Bureaucratic appointments experience obstacles because the implementers of this policy are not directly selected by superiors but through BKSDM, and the incentives of the implementers do not come from basic salaries and allowances while working. Policy implementers are expected to further optimise the socialisation process for policy targets and immediately submit to BKSDM regarding additional personnel

Hasil menunjukan adanya hubungan konsumsi TTD dengan pengetahuan (p=0,039), sikap (p=0,000), dukungan orang tua (p=0, 022), tenaga kesehatan (p=0,021) dan dukungan guru (p=0, 044). Banyak remaja belum mengonsumsi TTD, sehingga diperlukan dukungan dari diri sendiri, keluarga, tenaga kesehatan dan guru. Abstract

Pihak Fakultas Ilmu-ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi kegiatan mahasiswa seperti aktivitas fisik, jadwal olahraga rutin bersama karyawan kampus baik dari tenaga didik maupun dosen, mengadakan cek kesehatan gratis berkala seperti cek gula darah, kolesterol, tekanan darah untuk mahasiswa, tenaga pendidik, dan dosen guna mengetahui penyakit degeneratif secara dini.
