Abstract

Salah satu daerah yang terjadi perubahan kualitas tanah akibat aktivitas pertambangan adalah Kabupaten Luwu Timur tepatnya di Desa Ussu Kecamatan Malili. Lahan yang dulunya hutan sekarang menjadi lahan terdegradasi, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian terkait kualitas tanah lahan bekas tambang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pH tanah dan kandungan mineral pada lahan bekas tambang nikel dan mengetahui kualitas tanah menggunakan parameter pH tanah dan kandungan mineral pada lahan bekas tambang nikel. Terdapat 6 titik pengambilan sampel dengan metode pengambilan sampel yaitu grab sampling. Sampel yan gtelah diambil kemudian dilakukan analisis pH dan analisis X-Ray Diffraction. Hasil analisis didapatkan pH tanah dengan nilai 6,2 sampai dengan 6,8 (agak asam) sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pH tanah tersebut kurang baik untuk tanaman. Hasil pengujian XRD didapatkan kandungan mineral geotit, hematit, kuarsa, gahnit, lizardit dan diopsid. Tanah pada daerah penelitian memiliki pH 6,2 sampai dengan 6,8 (agak asam), dan memiliki kandungan Fe >325 ppm. Nilai pH tanah dan kandungan Fe pada lokasi penelitian menunjukkan angka yang tidak sesuai dengan standar kualitas tanah yang ada sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas tanah pada lokasi penelitian tidak baik. Kualitas tanah yang tidak baik menyebabkan tanaman tidak subur dan sangat sulit untuk tumbuh.

Abstract

Pelatihan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) merupakan komponen penting dalam meningkatkan kapasitas individu, dunia pendidikan dan organisasi dalam pemanfaatan teknologi pemetaan dan analisis spasial. Sistem informasi geografis (SIG) banyak dimanfaatkan di berbagai bidang, di antaranya yaitu kehutanan, pertambangan, kelautan, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan berbagai bidang lainnya. Pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi GPS Essentials dan Quantum GIS untuk pembuatan peta bagi taruna-taruni SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan, akan memberikan bekal agar dapat dimanfaatkan di dunia pekerjaan. Metodologi pengabdian kepada masyarakat melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner sebelum pelatihan dan setelah pelatihan, wawancara mendalam, serta observasi selama sesi pelatihan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS 27. Metode yang digunakan adalah perhitungan uji t (T-test). Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait penggunaan perangkat lunak SIG, analisis data spasial, dan aplikasi praktis dalam proyek-proyek. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada hasil perhitungan uji t (T-test) yaitu nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Selain itu, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kunci yang berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan pelatihan, seperti kualitas instruktur, metode pengajaran yang interaktif, dan materi pelatihan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta. Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa program pelatihan SIG yang terstruktur dengan baik dapat secara efektif meningkatkan kompetensi teknis peserta dan mendukung implementasi proyek-proyek berbasis SIG di berbagai sektor.

Abstract

Coal is used as fuel for the Air Anyir Steam Power Plant (PLTU) on Bangka Island. The combustion waste in the form of fly ash and bottom ash has not been utilized optimally as an alternative material for road construction. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the potential use of bottom ash as a filler in the HRS-WC mixture. The HRS-WC mixture uses two variations of filler, namely cement and bottom ash. The variation of asphalt content used is 6.5%, 7%. 7.5%, 8%, and 8.5%. The results showed that the use of bottom ash as a filler resulted in a KAO value of 7.95% and the stability value of the mixture was greater than using cement filler. So, bottom ash has potential as an alternative filler in asphalt mixtures. ABSTRAK Batu bara digunakan sebagai bahan bakar untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Air Anyir di Pulau Bangka. Limbah hasil pembakarannya berupa fly ash dan bottom ash belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal sebagai bahan alternatif konstruksi jalan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi penggunaan bottom ash sebagai filler pada campuran HRS-WC. Campuran HRS-WC menggunakan dua variasi filler yaitu semen dan bottom ash. Variasi kadar aspal yang digunakan adalah 6,5%, 7%. 7,5%, 8%, dan 8,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bottom ash sebagai bahan pengisi (filler) menghasilkan nilai KAO sebesar 7,95% dan nilai stabilitas campuran lebih besar dibandingkan dengan menggunakan filler semen. Jadi, bottom ash memiliki potensi sebagai alternatif filler pada campuran beraspal.

Abstract

Iron sand is one of the industrial minerals. Iron sand ini Indonesia is still limited to being used as a raw material for cement factories in the manufacture of concrete. Iron is given the symbol (Fe) in the periodic table's chemical element. The purpose of this study was to determine the mineral properties of iron sand and the chemical characteristics of iron sand. The research location is in Jeneponto, Jeneponto is a district in the province of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The stages of the sampling method are carried out by measuring the distance of each sample hole. From one point to another, within 10 meters with a depth of 30cm each from the surface after that the sample that has been taken is then dried. This research method uses XRD and XRF analysis methods. From the results of the why XRD analysis, it was found that 2 minerals carrying iron sand, including Magnetite and Hematite with the percentage content of these minerals, are. Magnetite mineral (Fe3O4) 40,0% and Hematite mineral (Fe2O3) 37,7%. From the results of XRF analysis shows that the chemical composition contained in Fe2O3 minerals contains oxide and hydroxide elements Fe, O, Oxide is a chemicali compound that contains at leasti one oxygen atom and at least one other element.

Abstract

PT Kalrez Petroleum Seram Ltd is a company engaged in the oil and gas mining sector. The company started operations in 2001 and is part of South Sea Petroleum Holdings Ltd, based in Hong Kong. This study aims to analyze the base sectors that can support economic growth and examine the potential of the mining and quarrying sector in supporting economic development in the region. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from various related agencies, one of which is the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data analyzed includes the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) of Eastern Seram Regency and Maluku Province based on constant prices by business field in the 2011-2020 period. This study uses Location Quotient (LQ) and shift-share analysis methods to identify the base sector and analyze the dynamics of economic growth. The results of the analysis show that the base sectors in this area include the fisheries, forestry, and agriculture sectors with an LQ value of 1.06; mining and quarrying sector with an LQ value of 11.37; real estate services with an LQ value of 1.13; and health services and social activities with an LQ value of 1.07. However, the growth of the value of GDP in the mining sector during the 2011-2020 period experienced a significant decrease, namely -6,323.94 million rupiah. Other growth indicators, namely the Proportional Growth Contribution (KPP) of -0.22 and the Regional Growth Contribution (KPPW) of -0.14, also show that the mining and quarrying sector is relatively slow in growth, although it remains competitive at the regional level. The decline in the value of KPP and KPPW with a negative sign (-) in the mining and quarrying sector confirms that this sector is experiencing suboptimal growth. Although its competitiveness is relatively still there, this persistent decline indicates the need for more attention to improving efficiency and innovation within the sector. This is important so that the mining and quarrying sector can contribute more to improving the regional economy in a sustainable manner. To support the development of this sector, strategic policies, investment in technology, and synergy between the government and industry players are needed to overcome existing challenges

Abstract

Before carrying out mining, it must take into account the impact of mining activities, namely changes in the landscape, it is necessary to re-vegetate and replant. This research was conducted to find out and provide a solution to the problem of revegetation failure that often occurs to achieve revegetation success and to identify and improve the factors that cause many dead plants. The location of this research was conducted in Bantuas Village, Palarang District, Samarinda Municipality, East Kalimantan Province, the data collection technique was carried out by direct collection in the field by taking data on plant types and soil pH, data processing was carried out by processing the collected data by entering data into in excel software aims to make the data neatly arranged and the data analysis method used is qualitative. There are several factors that cause plants to die, namely due to an error in selecting plant species and not paying attention to acidic soil pH. The way to overcome this is by choosing plant types that are suitable for the revegetation area and using dolomite to neutralize acidic soil pH and to achieve success it is necessary to pay attention to plant types, maintenance, planting preparation, monitoring.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan SIG dalam dunia perkerjaan sangat membantu agar memudahkan segala sesuatu yang memerlukan data spasial. Berbagai sektor telah memanfaatkan fungsi dari SIG, di antaranya yaitu sektor pendidikan dan pertambangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan aplikasi Android (Avenza) dan Quantum GIS (QGIS) dalam pembuatan peta bagi taruna-taruni SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, kemampuan untuk memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) menjadi keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa, khususnya di bidang pendidikan kejuruan. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam menggunakan aplikasi berbasis Android dan perangkat lunak QGIS, yang dapat diterapkan dalam dunia kerja, khususnya di sektor penerbangan dan industri terkait. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan praktis berbasis proyek dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, wawancara mendalam, serta observasi selama sesi pelatihan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 27 dengan uji t (T-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa terkait penggunaan aplikasi SIG, analisis data spasial, serta penerapannya dalam pembuatan peta. Ini dapat dilihat dari nilai sig (2-tailed) yang rendah yaitu 0,000 dibandingkan dengan nilai acuan 0,05. Selain itu, faktor-faktor keberhasilan pelatihan seperti kualitas instruktur, metode pengajaran interaktif, dan materi pelatihan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa turut mempengaruhi efektivitas pelatihan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan kejuruan di Indonesia serta sebagai referensi bagi institusi pendidikan lain yang ingin mengadopsi teknologi SIG dalam proses pembelajaran mereka.

Abstract

PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama is a company engaged in mining laterite nickel ore in Wolo sub-district, Kolaka district, Southeast Sulawesi province. In lateritic nickel ore mining activities, there is often a difference in levels of laterite nickel ore when it is still in the mining front and after being transferred to the stockpile. This research is to determine the proportion of differences in the levels of Ni, Fe, MgO and SiO2 on the mining front with the stockpile and to determine the factors that influence changes in nickel content. The method used in this study is the grab sampling method in front mining and stockpile. The results of this study are based on the results of the analysis, obtained data on the levels of Ni, Fe, MgO and SiO2 on the mining front with a stockpile, the Ni content has a difference of 0.05% and the Fe content has a difference of 0.34%, the two minerals have the highest grades on the mining front. mining and MgO content has a difference of 2.68% and SiO2 content has a difference of 8.87%, the two minerals have the highest grade in the stockpile. Factors that influence changes in nickel content are the heterogeneous distribution of ore, the position of the waste above the ore and the rainy weather that occurs in the field, operator and sampling skills.

Abstract

The effectiveness of groundwater wells in tectonically active regions remains insufficiently understood due to the lack of integrative hydrogeological evaluations. This study aims to characterize the hydraulic performance of five groundwater wells in Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, an area affected by the 2018 Central Sulawesi earthquake. A combination of the Neuman method and the Hantush-Bierschenk approach was employed to evaluate key aquifer parameters, including transmissivity, storativity, specific yield, and well loss coefficients. Step drawdown tests and time-drawdown data were analyzed to determine aquifer responses under controlled pumping conditions. The results show a clear variation in transmissivity and storativity among wells, indicating heterogeneous subsurface characteristics possibly influenced by post-seismic compaction. Wells 1 and 3 demonstrated high transmissivity and efficiency, supported by C values below 0.5, signifying well integrity and optimal construction. Conversely, well 2 exhibited low hydraulic performance, suggesting lithological constraints or structural deficiencies. The combination of analytical methods provided a robust framework for interpreting aquifer-well interactions in a post-disturbance setting. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of groundwater behavior in seismically disturbed regions and emphasizes the importance of incorporating multi-method approaches in hydrogeological assessments. The findings can serve as a reference for groundwater resource planning, well rehabilitation, and adaptive water management in vulnerable areas like Sigi Regency.
