Abstract

: The purpose of writing this article is to clearly describe the issues and impacts of the secularization of Islamic education. Because Islamic education is faith education and charity education. Islamic teachings contain teachings about personal attitudes and behavior of the community towards the welfare of individual life and living together, so Islamic education is individual education and community education. The turn of time and the times that are getting faster in the lives of Muslims are certainly many things that are a concern and even the challenges they face. Recently, we have intensified the issue of secularism, where the understanding is contrary to the concept of Islamic education that is understood and studied. The methodology used is library research. The results of a literature search on issues of secularization are that students in schools are not allowed to pray in classrooms, science and technology are not religious values, have abortions which are legal in the West, male sperm can be preserved and can be recovered. bought by the needy to get offspring. While the impact opens the door for the growth of atheism, opens the door wide for moral decay, fades faith in the unseen, shifts in values and norms and separates religious nuances from education. The implications of this discussion, in particular, serve as guidelines for Islamic religious educators to be aware of the spread of secularism in students as well as so that educators equip students with an understanding of the dangers of secularism. Keywords: Secularization, Issues and Impact, Islamic Education

Abstract

The existence of Islam from time to time in fact cannot be separated from the influence of the scholars who struggle in spreading the religion of Islam to all corners of the world. The struggle (jihad) of the scholars is carried out at the expense of life, property, thoughts and everything that can be fought for in order to spread the religion of Islam. It can be said that the ulama were the spearhead of the spread of Islam in the world after the death of the prophets and apostles of Allah. The presence of scholars from every era provides inspirational stories for human beings. In fact, there are certain times that are so fertile that it gives birth to a generation of qualified scholars in various branches of science. All of that can not be separated from the education taught to the younger generation of Islam either in the context of pesantren or otherwise. Therefore, the study of the existence of pesantren or institutions that gave birth to ulama is very important to be discussed. This is intended to measure the contribution of pesantren or other educational institutions in producing ulama.

Transdisciplinary-based learning (TDBL) is a need of teachers in teaching where its existence offers for solutions to solve teaching and learning problems in class. In this case, the presence of TDBL in Aqidah Akhlak subject means integrating Islamic teaching into science as knowledge in a holistic way. Thus, this study aims to propose a new way of teaching by developing the learning materials for the Aqidah Akhlak subject which is integrated into TDBL. Plomp’s model of research and development design is used in this research which typically includes five stages including problem analysis, design, realization, implementation, and evaluation. The result from expert validation both for student and teacher books is considered in the eligible category, highly eligible for field trial assessment, and practical category for the practical assessment. Students’ performance on Aqidah Akhlak subject is dominated by moderate level rather than high one. T-test proved that the use of TDBL Aqidah Akhlak learning materials effective to be utilized in class. Through the result of the study, it can be concluded that the proposed product of TDBL Aqidah Akhlak learning materials can be used both for students and teachers. Discussion and research implications are discussed further in this study.

Abstract

In the beginning, Sufism and philosophy were fused, so the two had a very close relationship. Of course, in an effort to reach the knowledge of God, it takes unusual thinking and is able to penetrate the spaces of physics. But lately many consider the two as contradictory things. In simple terms, Sufism is defined as the lifestyle of a Sufi which mostly leads to the purification of the soul in order to be closer to God. This paper is qualitative, with a library research approach. Philosophical Sufism began to develop since the 6th and 7th centuries Hijri. In Indonesia, philosophical Sufism was popularized by several well-known Sufi figures, for the Sumatra region philosophical Sufism was disseminated by Hamzah al-Fansuri, Syamsuddin al-Sumatrani, Abd al-Ra'uf al-Singkili. As for the Java region, the figure who is famous for popularizing philosophical Sufism is Shaykh Siti Jenar. The figures and doctrines of philosophical Sufism are: Al-Hallaj with the concept of Hulul, Suhrawardi with the concept of Illumination, Ibn 'Arabi with the concept of Wahdah Al-Wujud, and Abu Yazid Al-Bustami with the concept of Fana' and Baqo'.

Abstract

The discussion about the soul (al-nafs) in the Islamic world has been started since the emergence of Islamic thinkers on the historical stage. Beginning with the collapse of the Greek-Roman civilization and the movement of translation, commentary and original literature carried out by Islamic thinkers, especially during the Abbasid Daula, the essence of Greek thought was lifted and enriched. The development of psychology if traced through classical Islamic literature, it turns out that there is no separation of scientific disciplines. Psychology is better known as the science of the soul or ulumun nafs. The methodology used in this discussion is the search for references in the form of books and digitization. And the result is one of the Islamic leaders who study psychology, namely Abu Ali al-Khozin Ahmad Ibn Muhammad bin Ya'kub and better known as Ibn Miskawaih. The relationship between the human body and soul Ibn Miskawaih explains that under the soul there is the power of reasoning which is not preceded by sensory recognition. With the power of sensory recognition. The soul is able to distinguish between true or not related to the results of the production of the five senses. The difference is done by distributing sensory objects with one another. Ibn Miskawaih emphasizes the superiority of the human soul over animal souls with the power of thinking which is the source of behavioral considerations, which always leads to goodness.
