Abstract

This paper aims to analyze student perceptions of social distancing in education in the Covid-19 pandemic in the context of educational innovation. The focus of the discussion in this study is how students perceive social distancing in education in the Covid-19 pandemic and the learning patterns applied during the COVID-19 pandemic at the university in Labuhanbatu Utara. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data collection techniques are structured interviews with informants (students and lecturers), observation and document study. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, descriptive data presentation and concluding. The results of this study indicate that students' perceptions of social distancing in education are a temporary policy issued by the government to anticipate the spread of the Covid-19 virus. On this basis, educational institutions (especially universities) apply online learning using the WhatsApp Group (WAG) application, and Zoom Meeting. The main purpose of using online media is as an alternative for learning, assignment and assessment of lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the management of education financing applied at a private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in  Pematangsiantar. This research uses qualitative research methods, with descriptive types of research. The subjects of this study are five people, namely the head of madrasah, treasurer, committee, Madrasah Foundation, and teacher. The study used primary data and secondary data as data sources. At the same time, collecting data through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. Based on the findings, it was obtained that the management of education financing in madrasah always involves the head of the madrasah, madrasah treasurer, madrasah committee, foundation, and teachers. Sometimes, the proposed funds are not in accordance with its realization in its activities. Related to this, madrasah is assisted by a Monitoring and Evaluation Team, in this case, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Pematang Siantar City, to oversee the form of reports to the foundation given quarterly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategic planning, policy implementation and evaluation of quality improvement programs at a State Madrasah Aliyah Medan. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. While strengthening the validity of the data from research findings, the use of data validity standards based on Lincoln Guba consists of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of this study indicate that; 1) strategic planning in quality improvement is carried out by deliberation and teamwork to formulate the madrasa's vision and mission, analysis of the internal environment of the resources owned by the madrasa and the external environment of the madrasa environment both geographically, socio-culturally and economically, analysis of strategy selection and the key to success appropriate, and strategy selection; 2) Implementation of madrasa policies in quality improvement is carried out by implementing education quality improvement programs and adopting policies to carry out continuous process improvements, establishing quality assurance and quality standards for quality improvement, creating a madrasa culture or culture, making organizational changes and maintaining good relations with stakeholders both central government, regional and community; and 3) Evaluation of the quality improvement program is carried out through monitoring all the results of planning and implementation, measuring the performance of individuals and madrasah institutions, compiling reports on the implementation of activities and taking corrective steps.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's problems in implementing the 2013 curriculum in SMA Negeri 1 Takengon. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The aspects of the discussion include problems, efforts, supporting factors and obstacles in implementing the 2013 curriculum. Data collection techniques are applied through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that teacher problems related to time, learning media, a lot of administration had to be prepared, lack of student handbooks, difficult assessment standards especially aspects of attitude and knowledge. To overcome these problems, various efforts have been made such as: following training for teachers and students. The school provides funds; the school committee coordinates with parents. Supporting and inhibiting factors are also felt by teachers, but they continue to strive to implement the 2013 curriculum so that goals are achieved in accordance with what is expected in the 2013 curriculum.  Keywords: Teachers’ Problematic, Curriculum Implementation, State Senior High        School (SMA N) 1 Takengon

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) Supervisi manajerial di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Pondok Pesantren Mawaridussalam Batang Kuis; 2) Disiplin kerja Guru Madrasah; 3) Faktor pendorong dan penghambat disiplin kerja Guru Madrasah; dan 4) Implementasi supervisi manajerial dapat meningkatkan disiplin kerja Guru Madrasah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Supervisi manajerial dilaksanakan oleh kepala madrasah dengan mendelegasikan tugas sepervisi kepada para wakil kepala madrasah sesuai dengan bidang masing-masing. 2) Kedisiplinan guru Madrasah cukup baik 3) Faktor pendukung peningkatan disiplin guru Madrasah bermula dari keikhlasan diri  sendiri, dan juga motivasi dari atasan berupa aturan yang harus ditaati oleh  guru. Sementara faktor penghambatnya  lebih disebabkan adanya sebagian guru yang mengajar di madrasah ini juga kuliah ditempat yang lain sehingga kadang ditemukan keterlambatan yang masih dalam batas ditoleransi; dan 4) Implementasi supervisi manajerial ini diharapkan  mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan para  guru. Sehingga dapat melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya secara baik dan benar serta memiliki dedikasi pengabdian yang tinggi untuk mewujudkan tujuan madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat hubungan antara self efficacy dengan self regulated learning pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Dimana yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang bekerja di Universitas Medan Area yang memenuhi kriteria sampel dengan sampel sebanyak 67 mahasiswa. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara self efficacy dengan self regulated learning mahasiswa yang bekerja di Universitas Medan Area. Diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self efficacy dengan self regulated learning mahasiswa yang bekerja di Universitas Medan Area. Selain itu dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa secara umum para mahasiswa yang bekerja di Universitas Medan Area memiliki self efficacy yang tergolong sedang dan self regulated learning yang juga tergolong sedang.

Abstract

Given the importance of character in building strong human resources, the need for character education is carried out appropriately. It can be said that the formation of character is something that can not be separated from life. Therefore, care is needed by various parties, both by the government, the community, families and schools. Novels as a form of literary work are expected to bring up positive values for the audience so that they are sensitive to problems related to social life and encourage reading novels that can realize positive messages in the novel with good behavior in social life. When the world of education is considered to only pursue and prioritize the academic realm, so that it ignores moral issues and nobility. Literary work in the form of a novel entitled HSD by Tere Liye, seems to be a strategic intermediary for realizing the goal of instilling character education to students because in the novel contains values that must be straightened out.

Abstract

Evaluation is a process that includes measurement and may also contain decision making about values. Tests are ways that are used or procedures taken in the framework of measurement and assessment in the field of education, which provides assignments and a series of tasks given by the teacher so that values can be symbolized by students' behavior or achievements. The learning outcomes of each student are compared with the level of achievement of competencies in instructional objectives. There are three things that are important in terms of the test, first is the term measurement. Giving tests (testing is part of measurement activities) Both tests are a tool to measure a sample of knowledge or abilities possessed by a person Third, tests are interpretations of numbers obtained to determine whether a person is good enough or not to learn in achieving a goal. learning or teaching needs to be evaluated in order to know the level of exhaustion of the planned goals so that in the teaching process produces students who have high cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects and also have an impact on the progress of the nation.

Abstract

This paper describes the background of sending lecturers of Islamic Religious Education Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) to the Islamic West and their contribution to the development of ICM in Indonesia. Historically the background of sending Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) lecturers to the West was to change Islamic studies in Indonesia to become more comprehensive with more universal scientific methodologies and traditions. The shipping project was opposed by some Islamic leaders because it was considered to give birth to religious liberalism. On the other hand, the sending of lecturers was supported by a number of Islamic leaders to eliminate the tendency of sect sect of schools in Indonesia and efforts to integrate science in Islam. The contributions of alumni of Western Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) lecturers include (1) encouraging the entry of science courses in Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI); (2) rationalizing the organizational structure of the campus, (3) updating the curriculum with more intensive Islamic studies with a variety of rich methodologies Renewing the curriculum; (4) publishing scientific journals; (5) open post graduate programs; and (6) changing studies at Islamic Higher Education from the pattern of schools to the non-Mazhabi approach.

Abstract

Character education is understood as an effort to instill intelligence in thinking, appreciation in the form of attitudes, and experiences in the form of behavior that is in accordance with the noble values that are the identity of themselves. Character education instilled in Islamic education is the creation of the nature of students who have moral character. The importance of character education because some of the problems of the current generation are moral crises. The research method used in qualitative research with field research uses a descriptive approach. Based on the data analysis found The form of character education material in moral akidah learning at MIN 3 Middle Tapanuli requires teaching, exemplary, and reflection of morals, worship, and aqeedah. The most important points in character education teach children to behave according to the guidance of the Koran and the Sunnah. Implementation of Character Education in moral learning in MIN 3 Central Tapanuli is carried out in three ways, namely learning activities in the classroom, activities outside the classroom, and activities outside of school. Existing facilities and infrastructure are recognized or not have helped provide convenience in character education in moral akidah learning at MIN 3 Central Tapanuli with existing materials and using methods of habituation, exemplary, and reflection as well as methods that activate students in the process learning.
