Pengabdian ini berusaha untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada para guru meningkatkan kompetensinya melalui kegiatan lesson study berbasis PTK. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi: penyampaian materi, mendiskusikan materi, menyusun laporan PTK, dan refleksi. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan jenis workshop. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan latihan. Metode ceramah dilakukan dengan memberikan materi kepada guru mengenai Lesson Study berbasis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Diskusi dan latihan dilakukan dengan cara menerapkan materi yang telah diberikan oleh pemateri. Pada proses latihan praktik, guru diminta untuk melakukan praktik. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk sosialisasi Lesson Study berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas membawa dampak positif bagi peningkatan kompetensi dan profesionalitas guru.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi aktor sosial dalam wacana kriminal bertema pembunuhan di Koran Kompas edisi 25 April 2024 menggunakan teori inklusion Theo Van Leeuwen, untuk memahami bagaimana bahasa membentuk ideologi, kekuasaan, dan identitas dalam wacana media. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis teks berita kriminal bertema pembunuhan, mengidentifikasi frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mencerminkan aspek inklusion dalam representasi aktor sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi membaca dan memahami teks yang relevan, menandai bagian-bagian teks yang sesuai dengan teori inklusion, dan menginventarisasi elemen-elemen wacana. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi elemen wacana berdasarkan teori inklusion, mengklasifikasikan data sesuai kategori teori, mencatat elemen bahasa yang menunjukkan representasi aktor sosial, menginterpretasikan data, dan menyusun kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berita kriminal bertema pembunuhan di Koran Kompas edisi 25 April 2024 menggunakan strategi inklusion untuk merepresentasikan aktor sosial, mencerminkan ideologi tertentu melalui penonjolan atribut aktor sosial, tindakan yang dilakukan, serta hubungan mereka dengan kekuasaan. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman kritis mengenai bagaimana media membangun narasi yang dapat membentuk persepsi publik serta menggambarkan bagaimana bahasa menjadi alat untuk menciptakan struktur kekuasaan dan ideologi dalam wacana sosial.

This study aims to analyze the values of character education based on Michael Josephson's theory in the character Karang in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive method, with data analysis techniques in the form of identifying quotations that describe the six pillars of character according to Josephson: trust, respect, responsibility, justice, caring, and citizenship. The results of the analysis show that the character Karang embodies five of the six main values of the character, which are seen through his behavior, attitude, and social relations. These values not only strengthen the dimensions of Karang's character, but also become an important reflection for readers about the meaning of personality, resilience, and interpersonal relationships.

Di era digital, media sosial telah menjadi platform utama untuk komunikasi dan ekspresi diri. Salah satu aspek menarik dari fenomena ini adalah penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam media sosial sebagai representasi kearifan lokal. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana bahasa Indonesia digunakan dalam media sosial untuk mencerminkan dan melestarikan kearifan lokal. Dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik, penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai bentuk representasi bahasa Indonesia di media sosial serta dampaknya terhadap pelestarian budaya lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk memperkuat identitas budaya dan menyebarkan nilai-nilai lokal di tengah arus globalisasi.

This study aims to analyze the tendency of moving toward people in the main character of the novel Pukul Setengah Lima by Rintik Sedu using Karen Horney’s psychoanalytic theory. The main character exhibits behaviors that reflect a neurotic need for affection, approval, and protection through submissiveness, self-sacrifice, and emotional dependence on others. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, using content analysis of excerpts from the novel. The findings reveal that the tendency to move toward others serves as a psychological response to social anxiety rooted in unresolved inner conflicts and emotional insecurity from the past. This pattern of unbalanced interpersonal relationships acts as a defense mechanism to gain a sense of safety in social life. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of psychological dynamics in contemporary Indonesian popular literature and enriches the field of literary psychology.

Poetry is known as a form of written art that is rich in meaning and symbolism. One collection of poems that is interesting to study in terms of meaning is the collection of poems by Wita Nfa entitled “Metamorphosis.” This analysis uses three poems, namely Bertandang, Fall, and Rona. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with several in-depth explorations, notes, and grouping of meaning elements. This study focuses on the type of meaning of each word, whether it is lexical or grammatical, and will also analyze the meaning of each word. The results of this study produced 65 words, including lexical and 46 grammatical words. This study also reveals the implied meanings that the author attempts to convey because Wita Nfa's poetry has a unique and implied style of language. Therefore, this study was conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the messages that the poet wants to convey and to explain how language and symbols in poetry can influence the feelings and thoughts of readers. We hope that the results of this study will help readers better understand the meaning in poetic literary works.

Referring to Abdul Chaer’s semantic theory, this study aims to explain the denotative and connotative meanings contained in the lyrics of the song “Sorai” by Nadin Amizah. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method and uses content analysis techniques to identify words, phrases, and sentences in the lyrics that contain denotative and connotative meanings. The findings of this study indicate that the connotative meaning is more dominant and is manifested through the use of natural symbols and emotional expressions that represent human relationships, the process of healing inner wounds, sincerity, and acceptance of true love. This study found that the lyrics of the song “Sorai” not only function as a way to convey messages literally, but also as a way to express deep feelings. Therefore, by using Abdul Chaer’s theory, song lyrics can reveal layers of meaning and demonstrate the power of language as an emotional and aesthetic medium in musical works.

This study examines the double meaning of words (homonyms) in the Javanese language using the Mojokerto dialect as part of an analysis of the meaning and use of local language in social interactions in Sidorejo Village, Jetis District. The existence of homonyms is important because it shows that one way of speaking can have different meanings depending on its use, which is closely related to how speakers understand and interpret conversations in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of homonyms, homophones, and homographs that appear in speech, as well as to explain their semantics and pragmatics. The method used was qualitative descriptive, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with native speakers of the Mojokerto dialect. A total of 13 speech data were collected and analyzed by considering their meanings and usage. The results showed that there were eight types of homonyms, five types of homographs, and no homophones were found in the speech of the community. The analysis shows that this diversity of meaning not only reflects the richness of the Mojokerto dialect vocabulary, but also reflects the relationship between language and social practices in the local community. This study confirms that understanding context is very important in interpreting meaning, and this is the basis for efforts to preserve local languages in an era of change.

The study of meaning in language, whether found in words, phrases, or sentences, is known as semantics. Language often has diverse or metaphorical meanings in literary works such as songs, which can confuse listeners. This becomes a problem when listeners understand song lyrics differently from what the artist intended. The song “Kembali Pulang” by Suara Kayu and Feby Putri, which is currently popular, is an example of lyrics rich in symbolism and meaning, making it interesting to study semantically. Abdul Chaer's semantic theory, which focuses on determining lexical and grammatical meaning, forms the basis of this approach. Lexical meaning, which includes synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, hyponyms, polysemy, redundancy, and ambiguity, is the dictionary meaning or actual meaning. However, meanings that have undergone composition, reduplication, and affixation are known as grammatical meanings. To correctly and thoroughly understand the message conveyed by the song “Kembali Pulang” by Suara Kayu and Feby Putri, this study aims to clarify the lexical and grammatical meanings contained in the song lyrics. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study, which included analysis of the song lyrics along with recording, listening, and reading strategies.
