Abstract

The problem contained in this research is the form of social solidarity in the novel Argantara by Falistiyana. This research aims to describe forms of social solidarity. This research uses a literary sociology approach and this research is qualitative in nature. The data source for this research is the novel entitled Argantara by Falistiyana, published in 2022 at PT Sarana Kreasi Abadi with a thickness of 484 pages. Data collection was carried out through the literature study method, with data analysis including identifying data, classifying data, and analyzing data. The theory that is the basis of the analysis is Emile Durkheim's theory of social solidarity. Based on the results of this research, it shows that social solidarity in the Argantara novel is divided into mechanical social solidarity and organic social solidarity. Mechanical social solidarity is found in 10 data quotes, including deliberation, empathy, togetherness and the existence of repressive laws with forms of togetherness being dominant. Meanwhile, organic social solidarity is found in 8 data quotes, including appreciation, mutual respect, cooperation and the existence of restitution laws with cooperation being the dominant form.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengabdian pada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pelatihan Metode Penelitian Sosiolingustik pada Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Unram” ini dilakukan dengan pertimbangan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Unram khususnya yang berada di tingkat akhir masih membutuhkan bimbingan dan tambahan pemahaman terkait metode penelitian sosiolinguistik. Berdasarkan pengalaman membimbing mahasiswa menulis skripsi, pada umumnya mahasiswa terhambat pada metode penelitian sosiolinguistik yang kurang dikuasai. Hal ini disebabkan mata kuliah Sosiolinguistik yang diikuti mahasiswa hanya berjumlah 2 SKS yang hanya mengenalkan materi teoritis, sedangkan materi praktik yang bersifat metodologis dalam penelitian sosiolinguistik belum mencukupi dengan jumlah SKS tersebut. Untuk mmenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, telah diadakan program pengabdian sebagai salah satu solusi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut berupa kegiatan pelatihan. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian telah dilakukan secara daring/virtual dengan memanfaatkan Google Meet dan grup WA. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilaksanakan tiga tahap yang terdiri atas satu tahap penyampaian materi konseptual dan dua tahap penyampaian materi keterampilan aplikatif. Pelaksanaan pelatihan ini cukup berhasil karena telah memenuhi tujuan dan target luaran pengabdian masyarakat yang telah direncanakan sebelumnya. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pelatihan melalui evaluasi dan refleksi yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil evaluasi pada penyajian materi dan refleksi memperoleh tanggapan positif dari para peserta pelatihan. Evaluasi melalui hasil pengisian angket menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta sangat mengerti dan mengerti pada pemahaman materi pelatihan. Demikian pula pada sesi refleksi, peserta menyatakan pelatihan metodologi penelitian sosiolinguistik sangat bermanfaat membantu untuk merencanakan penelitian skripsi dan sangat setuju untuk dilakukan pelatihan sejenis dan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT This community service is entitled "Sociolinguistic Research Methods Training for Students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program of FKIP University of Mataram" was carried out with the consideration that students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program of FKIP University of Mataram, especially those at the final semesters still needed guidance and additional understanding related to research methods on sociolinguistics. Based on the authors’ experiences of supervising students in writing bachelor theses, it is evident that the students are generally hampered by research methods on sociolinguistics that they have not fully mastered. The main problem is, as the authors may assume, due to the lack of course credits allocated to Sociolinguistics course. With only 2 credits allocated, the course can only introduce some theoretical materials, while giving insufficient portion to the practical ones i.e. the methodological research materials on sociolinguistics. To cope with this, this community service program was carried out in he form of training as a solution to the problem. The training was delivered online via Google Meet and WA groups. It went through three stages that consisted of one stage of delivering conceptual material and two stages of delivering applied skills materials. The results show that this training has achieved the successful outcome as expected. The results of the evaluation on material presentation and reflection received positive responses from the training participants. The results of the questionnaires suggest that most of the participants have good understanding on the materials presented during the training. In addition, the result of reflection session suggests that most of the participants think the sociolinguistic research methodology training is very useful in helping them to plan and draft their thesis proposals and really look forward to similar and continuous trainings in the near future.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat, khususnya siswa MI NW Taman, melalui program pembelajaran tradisional dengan menggunakan media Pop-Up Book berbasis gambar. Tujuan dari program ini adalah menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter kepada siswa MI NW Taman melalui cerita rakyat NTB. Metode pelaksanaan program ini melibatkan observasi persiapan program, sosialisasi, penyusunan Pop-Up Book, pengawasan pembelajaran, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan kognitif siswa terkait pendidikan karakter dan minat baca. Selain itu, penggunaan media Pop-Up Book sebagai alat pembelajaran yang efektif dan interaktif di MI NW Taman telah memberikan hasil positif. Para siswa dapat mengenal dan memahami nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dari cerita rakyat yang disampaikan melalui Pop-Up Book. ABSTRACT This community service program aims to assist the community, especially the students of MI NW Taman, through a traditional learning initiative using image-based Pop-Up Books. The goal of this program is to instill character education values in MI NW Taman students through folk stories from NTB. The implementation method involves observing program preparations, socializing, creating Pop-Up Books, overseeing learning sessions, and conducting monitoring and evaluation. The results of this community service activity indicate an increase in students' cognitive abilities related to character education and reading interest. Additionally, the use of Pop-Up Books as an effective and interactive teaching tool at MI NW Taman has yielded positive outcomes. Students can now recognize and understand the character education values conveyed through folk stories presented in the Pop-Up Books.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan berdasarkan identifikasi masalah guru-guru SD di lingkungan Monjok Mataram, minimnya pengetahuan tentang kebahasaan bahasa Sasak, sebagai salah satu bahan ajar muatan lokal dan kelangkaan silabus bahan ajar muatan lokal bahasa Sasak, sehingga pembelajaran muatan lokal bahasa Sasak diajarkan seadanya. Selain itu para guru SD belum memanfaatkan hasil-hasil penelitian bahasa Sasak yang dilakukan para akademisi, sebagai salah satu cara mengembangkan bahan ajar muatan lokal bahasa Sasak. Berdasarkan masalah-masalah tersebut, maka diperlukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan yang bertujuan para guru SD di lingkungan kelurahan Monjok Mataram dapat 1) memperoleh pengetahuan tentang bahasa Sasak dari hasil penelitian bahasa Sasak, khususnya tentang sistem honorifik (penghormatan) bahasa Sasak 2) mengembangkan bahan ajar materi muatan lokal bahasa Sasak berdasarkan pengetahuan yang diperolehnya, 3) menyusun silabus sederhana muatan lokal bahasa Sasak berdasarkan pengetahuan kebahasaan yang diperolehnya. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini melalui tiga tahap pelatihan, yaitu tahap pemaparan materi konseptual, penerapkan materi aplikatif, dan pelaksanakan evaluasi dan refkleksi untuk mengukur keterpahaman peserta pelatihan dan feedback kegiatan pelatihan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini cukup berhasil karena telah memenuhi tujuan dan target luaran pengabdian masyarakat yang telah direncanakan. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pelatihan melalui evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil evaluasi penyajian materi dan refleksi menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari para peserta pelatihan, baik melalui diskusi, penugasan dan pengisian angket. Secara keseluruhan menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan. Kat ABSTRACT This community service activity was carried out based on identifying the problems of elementary school teachers in the Monjok Mataram environment, the lack of knowledge about the Sasak language, as one of the local content teaching materials and the scarcity of the syllabus for local content teaching materials in the Sasak language, so that local content learning in the Sasak language is taught as is. Apart from that, elementary school teachers have not utilized the results of Sasak language research conducted by academics, as a way to develop teaching materials with local Sasak language content. Based on these problems, community service activities are needed in the form of training aimed at elementary school teachers in the Monjok Mataram sub-district environment being able to 1) gain knowledge about the Sasak language from the results of Sasak language research, especially about the Sasak language honorific (respect) system 2) develop materials teach local content material in the Sasak language based on the knowledge they have acquired, 3) prepare a simple syllabus for local content in the Sasak language based on the linguistic knowledge they have acquired. The method for implementing community service activities is through three stages of training, namely the stage of presenting conceptual material, applying applicable material, and carrying out evaluation and reflection to measure the understanding of training participants and feedback on training activities. The implementation of this training activity was quite successful because it met the planned goals and targets for community service outcomes. This can be seen in the training results through evaluation and reflection. The results of the evaluation of material presentation and reflection showed positive responses from the training participants, both through discussions, assignments and filling out questionnaires. Overall shows satisfactory results.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Persoalan dasar yang membuat pertunjukan Kemidi Rudat belum memberikan makna yang mendalam dan perenungan bagi penontonnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat pendukungnya, dalam hal ini adalah para pemain dan sutradaranya terhadap makna dari pertunjukan Kemidi Rudat yang tidak statis tetapi dapat berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan kebudayaan di era milenial ini. Implikasi dari kurangnya pemahaman ini adalah kurangnya daya tarik permainan dari para aktornya. Akhirnya juga berimplikasi pada kurang antusiasnya penonton untuk menyaksikan secara utuh pertunjukan Kemidi Rudat. Solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah pemahaman terhadap makna sebuah pertunjukan Kemidi Rudat sehingga permainan para aktornya juga akan lebih bersemangat dengan pemahaman terhadap makna tersebut. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk memberikan alternatif makna yang baru yang lebih menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan kebudayaan melalui dialog terfokus dengan para pendukung Kemidi Rudat di Desa Terengan. Proses sosialisasi diharapkan akan berimplikasi pada pemahaman makna dan peranan tokoh yang lebih baik dan meningkatkan kualitas pertunjukan Kemidi Rudat. ABSTRACT The fundamental issue that prevents the Kemidi Rudat show from conveying profound meaning and reflection to the audience lies in the lack of comprehension among the supporting community, including the actors and directors, regarding the evolving nature of the show in accordance with cultural advancements in this millennial era. Consequently, this lack of understanding results in the actors' performance being less captivating and subsequently leads to a diminished audience interest in witnessing the complete Kemidi Rudat experience. The solution to this predicament lies in cultivating a comprehensive understanding of the meaning behind the Kemidi Rudat show, which will enable the actors to approach their roles with increased enthusiasm and comprehension. To address this, a service program will be implemented, focusing on engaging in meaningful dialogues with the supporters of Kemidi Rudat in Terengan Village. This program aims to introduce new alternative meanings that are more attuned to cultural developments. By carrying out an effective socialization process, it is anticipated that there will be an enhanced comprehension of the meaning and significance of the characters, ultimately improving the overall quality of Kemidi Rudat's performances.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Desa Belo Kecamatan Jereweh merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki hasil hutan melimpah meliputi rotan, madu, dan kelapa. Permasalahan di desa ini adalah nilai ekonomis buah kelapa sangat rendah karena kurangnya pemahaman dan informasi masyarakat terhadap pengolahan dan pemasaran buah kelapa. Selain itu, masyarakat masih konvensional dalam pemanfaatan kelapa dengan hanya menjual mentahan dari buah kelapa tanpa tahu cara mengolah menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Terdapat satu produk kelapa dari desa Belo yaitu minyak Jereweh yang hanya dipasarkan di wilayahnya sendiri padahal minyak tersebut memiliki potensi besar dalam peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Pembuatan minyak Jereweh menghasilkan limbah bubur kelapa yang menjadi masalah baru bagi lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, kelompok KKN Terpadu Desa Belo menyusun program kerja untuk membantu memasarkan produk minyak Jereweh ke masyarakat secara luas dan melatih mereka membuat produk olahan berupa bolu yang disebut BOLKER yang terbuat dari sisa bubur kelapa yang dikeringkan. ABSTRACT Belo Village, Jereweh District is one of the villages that has abundant forest products which include rattans, honey, and coconuts. However, the economic value of coconuts in Belo village is very low due to the lack of information on how to process and market the coconuts products well. Moreover, Belo people are still conventional in which they only sell raw coconuts without ever thinking of processing them into other food products that have higher economic value. There is one famously known coconut product from the village called “Jereweh coconut oil” which is only marketed in the village surrounding area despite having a great potential to boost the villagers' economy. This community service program aims to educate and help to promote the Jereweh oil products to the wider communities and train them to make muffins made of the by-product of dried coconut pulp called BOLKER.
