Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan penggunaan deiksis dalam novel Susah Sinyal karya Ernest Prakasa dan Ika Natassa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dialog-dialog dalam novel Susah Sinyal karya Ernest Prakasa dan Ika Natassa yang dimuat dalam tabel sesuai dengan jenis deiksis. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode simak dengan teknik catat. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode padan intralingual dan metode padan ekstralingual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk dan penggunaan deiksis dalam novel Susah Sinyal karya Ernest Prakasa dan Ika Natassa terdapat tiga jenis deiksis yang ditemukan, yaitu bentuk deiksis pronomina persona, deiksis tempat/ruang, dan deiksis waktu. Deiksis pronomina persona terbagi menjadi tiga yaitu deiksis pronomina persona pertama tunggal bentuk gue, saya, dan aku, pronomina persona jamak bentuk kami, dan kita. Pada deiksis pronomina persona kedua tunggal ditemukan bentuk kamu, lo, kau, dan anda, deiksis pronomina persona kedua jamak bentuk kalian, sedangkan deiksis pronomina persona ketiga tunggal bentuk dia, dan beliau, terakhir deiksis pronomina persona ketiga jamak bentuk mereka. Bentuk deiksis ruang/tempat terjangkau ditemukan bentuk di sini, sedangkan bentuk deiksis tempat/ruang tak terjangkau meliputi di sana, dan di situ. Adapun bentuk deiksis waktu terbagi atas deiksis waktu lampau, waktu kini, dan waktu mendatang. Deiksis waktu lampau ditemukan bentuk kemarin, tadi, dan dulu. Bentuk deiksis waktu kini yaitu sekarang, dan hari ini. Terakhir bentuk deiksis waktu yang akan datang meliputi nanti, besok, dan lusa.

Abstract

The research aimed to identify potential words in the Indonesian language and sought to explain why these words were not included in Indonesian vocabulary lists or were difficult to realize in natural conversations. In order to achieve these goals, data were collected using introspection, documentation, and interview methods. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed using a generative morphology approach, mainly related to concepts of potential words. According to the approach, each language has (1) a List of Morphemes (LM), (2) Word Formation Rules (WFR), and (3) a Filter (F). WFR stated that every language was capable of producing new potential words, yet not all those potential words could easily pass through the filter to enter the lexicon of actual words used in real life. The potential words discussed in the research were restricted to those showing morpho-syntactic interconnection among Indonesian affixes. The results indicate that numerous potential words in the Indonesian language are constructed out of such affixal interconnection. However, the potential words do not surface in the lexicon for two reasons: first, because the words fail to compete with others that compensate for their absence; second, because the words are difficult to manifest due to their low frequency in everyday speech.

Abstract

Kesenian teater di NTB khususnya di Mataram kekurangan penulis naskah lakon yang andal. Persoalan minimnya naskah berkualitas tersebut perlu diikhtiarkan solusinya. Salah satu solusinya adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan penulisan naskah lakon bagi komunitas teater di kota Mataram. Pengabdian berupa pelatihan ini bisa meningkatkan keterampilan para anggota komunitas teater di kota Mataram. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap yakni tahap penyajian materi teoretis tentang drama realis, struktur drama, tahapan penulisan naskah lakon/drama, teknik pengembangan ide, dan lain-lain. Tahapan kedua adalah pemberian contoh berdasarkan pengalaman pemateri dan naskah yang pernah ditulis pemateri. Tahapan ketiga adalah praktik penentuan ide cerita dan penulisan outline cerita yang akan dikembangkan menjadi naskah lakon. Pada akhir pelatihan disediakan waktu refleksi dan tanya jawab.  The development of theater arts in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), particularly in Mataram city, is facing a creative drought due to the scarcity of capable play scriptwriters. This absence of strong narrative voices is longing for compelling stories. To solve this, a targeted training program in playwriting was initiated for members of the theater communities in Mataram city. This community service aimed to nurture new talents and sharpen the creative pens of emerging writers. The training was conducted in three phases. The first phase focused on delivering theoretical material, including concepts of realist drama, the structural components of a play, stages of script development, and techniques for generating and refining story ideas. In the second phase, participants were introduced to practical examples drawn from the trainer’s professional experiences and previously written scripts. The third phase involved hands-on practice, where participants were guided in developing story ideas and drafting a structured outline to be expanded into a full play script. The training concluded with a reflection session and a question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to consolidate their learning and clarify any remaining doubts.

Abstract

This article presents discourse texts in Sufism culture, especially about the meaning of dhikr and the spiritual values inherent in Sufi discourse texts. For this reason, researchers are trying to explore the concept of dhikr of the Tarekat Sheikh through a discourse study approach. This is because every living and healthy dhikr has its own special features which lie in its special message in the bias of revelation through culture and life. Researchers try to offer the concept of Sufi dhikr of Sheikh Ahmad Tet, considering that the tradition of dhikr is a reflection of Islamic culture. The aim of this research is to explore the meaning of the word dhikr through expressions in the manuscript of the book 'Secrets of Bainal Haq', as a form of discourse text that supports social-spiritual relationships.To understand this, researchers used Foucault's theory of discourse study, with analytical descriptive methods. The steps that researchers took were data collection, data processing, and interpretation of research data, which results in understanding the words and meaning of Sufi discourse texts. Therefore, the results of this research reveal that Sufi dhikr has similarities in social-spiritual values, a balance between the dimensions of faith and shari’ah, the dimensions of knowledge and worship, the dimensions of culture and morals, and the dimensions of language and culture which is the representation of religious culture traditional practices.

Abstract

This article presents a language teaching framework for understanding how human activities can be influenced by social and cultural contexts. This is because effective language teaching does not only understand the structure and vocabulary, but also understands the cultural context in which the language is used. To understand this, this research uses Engeström's 'Cultural Historical Activity Theory' with a qualitative descriptive analytical approach method, with several research steps, First: Identifying Data. Second: Collecting Data. Third: Analyzing Data. Fourth: Synthesis and Interpretation. For this reason, the aim of this research is to discuss the importance of cultural aspects in language teaching and how this approach can improve students' language skills and cultural understanding. The findings of this research indicate that Engeström's culturally-based activity theory can enhance communication skills through language teaching within cultural contexts. Consequently, students can serve as a positive force in fostering cross-cultural communication competence.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengabdian pada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pelatihan Metode Penelitian Sosiolingustik pada Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Unram” ini dilakukan dengan pertimbangan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Unram khususnya yang berada di tingkat akhir masih membutuhkan bimbingan dan tambahan pemahaman terkait metode penelitian sosiolinguistik. Berdasarkan pengalaman membimbing mahasiswa menulis skripsi, pada umumnya mahasiswa terhambat pada metode penelitian sosiolinguistik yang kurang dikuasai. Hal ini disebabkan mata kuliah Sosiolinguistik yang diikuti mahasiswa hanya berjumlah 2 SKS yang hanya mengenalkan materi teoritis, sedangkan materi praktik yang bersifat metodologis dalam penelitian sosiolinguistik belum mencukupi dengan jumlah SKS tersebut. Untuk mmenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, telah diadakan program pengabdian sebagai salah satu solusi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut berupa kegiatan pelatihan. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian telah dilakukan secara daring/virtual dengan memanfaatkan Google Meet dan grup WA. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilaksanakan tiga tahap yang terdiri atas satu tahap penyampaian materi konseptual dan dua tahap penyampaian materi keterampilan aplikatif. Pelaksanaan pelatihan ini cukup berhasil karena telah memenuhi tujuan dan target luaran pengabdian masyarakat yang telah direncanakan sebelumnya. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pelatihan melalui evaluasi dan refleksi yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil evaluasi pada penyajian materi dan refleksi memperoleh tanggapan positif dari para peserta pelatihan. Evaluasi melalui hasil pengisian angket menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta sangat mengerti dan mengerti pada pemahaman materi pelatihan. Demikian pula pada sesi refleksi, peserta menyatakan pelatihan metodologi penelitian sosiolinguistik sangat bermanfaat membantu untuk merencanakan penelitian skripsi dan sangat setuju untuk dilakukan pelatihan sejenis dan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT This community service is entitled "Sociolinguistic Research Methods Training for Students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program of FKIP University of Mataram" was carried out with the consideration that students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program of FKIP University of Mataram, especially those at the final semesters still needed guidance and additional understanding related to research methods on sociolinguistics. Based on the authors’ experiences of supervising students in writing bachelor theses, it is evident that the students are generally hampered by research methods on sociolinguistics that they have not fully mastered. The main problem is, as the authors may assume, due to the lack of course credits allocated to Sociolinguistics course. With only 2 credits allocated, the course can only introduce some theoretical materials, while giving insufficient portion to the practical ones i.e. the methodological research materials on sociolinguistics. To cope with this, this community service program was carried out in he form of training as a solution to the problem. The training was delivered online via Google Meet and WA groups. It went through three stages that consisted of one stage of delivering conceptual material and two stages of delivering applied skills materials. The results show that this training has achieved the successful outcome as expected. The results of the evaluation on material presentation and reflection received positive responses from the training participants. The results of the questionnaires suggest that most of the participants have good understanding on the materials presented during the training. In addition, the result of reflection session suggests that most of the participants think the sociolinguistic research methodology training is very useful in helping them to plan and draft their thesis proposals and really look forward to similar and continuous trainings in the near future.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan berdasarkan identifikasi masalah guru-guru SD di lingkungan Monjok Mataram, minimnya pengetahuan tentang kebahasaan bahasa Sasak, sebagai salah satu bahan ajar muatan lokal dan kelangkaan silabus bahan ajar muatan lokal bahasa Sasak, sehingga pembelajaran muatan lokal bahasa Sasak diajarkan seadanya. Selain itu para guru SD belum memanfaatkan hasil-hasil penelitian bahasa Sasak yang dilakukan para akademisi, sebagai salah satu cara mengembangkan bahan ajar muatan lokal bahasa Sasak. Berdasarkan masalah-masalah tersebut, maka diperlukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan yang bertujuan para guru SD di lingkungan kelurahan Monjok Mataram dapat 1) memperoleh pengetahuan tentang bahasa Sasak dari hasil penelitian bahasa Sasak, khususnya tentang sistem honorifik (penghormatan) bahasa Sasak 2) mengembangkan bahan ajar materi muatan lokal bahasa Sasak berdasarkan pengetahuan yang diperolehnya, 3) menyusun silabus sederhana muatan lokal bahasa Sasak berdasarkan pengetahuan kebahasaan yang diperolehnya. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini melalui tiga tahap pelatihan, yaitu tahap pemaparan materi konseptual, penerapkan materi aplikatif, dan pelaksanakan evaluasi dan refkleksi untuk mengukur keterpahaman peserta pelatihan dan feedback kegiatan pelatihan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini cukup berhasil karena telah memenuhi tujuan dan target luaran pengabdian masyarakat yang telah direncanakan. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pelatihan melalui evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil evaluasi penyajian materi dan refleksi menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari para peserta pelatihan, baik melalui diskusi, penugasan dan pengisian angket. Secara keseluruhan menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan. Kat ABSTRACT This community service activity was carried out based on identifying the problems of elementary school teachers in the Monjok Mataram environment, the lack of knowledge about the Sasak language, as one of the local content teaching materials and the scarcity of the syllabus for local content teaching materials in the Sasak language, so that local content learning in the Sasak language is taught as is. Apart from that, elementary school teachers have not utilized the results of Sasak language research conducted by academics, as a way to develop teaching materials with local Sasak language content. Based on these problems, community service activities are needed in the form of training aimed at elementary school teachers in the Monjok Mataram sub-district environment being able to 1) gain knowledge about the Sasak language from the results of Sasak language research, especially about the Sasak language honorific (respect) system 2) develop materials teach local content material in the Sasak language based on the knowledge they have acquired, 3) prepare a simple syllabus for local content in the Sasak language based on the linguistic knowledge they have acquired. The method for implementing community service activities is through three stages of training, namely the stage of presenting conceptual material, applying applicable material, and carrying out evaluation and reflection to measure the understanding of training participants and feedback on training activities. The implementation of this training activity was quite successful because it met the planned goals and targets for community service outcomes. This can be seen in the training results through evaluation and reflection. The results of the evaluation of material presentation and reflection showed positive responses from the training participants, both through discussions, assignments and filling out questionnaires. Overall shows satisfactory results.

Abstract

Dunia kesenian di NTB kekurangan sumber daya manusia yang mumpuni dalam bidang make-up karakter. Universitas Mataram sebagai lembaga pendidikan bisa berkontribusi dalam hal ini, salah satunya dengan mengadakan pelatihan-pelatihan kesenian termasuk pelatihan make-up karakter teater dan film pada anggota komunitas seni di kota Mataram. Pengabdian berupa pelatihan ini bisa memberikan keterampilan baru bagi anggota komunitas seni di kota Mataram. Keterampilan dalam bidang make-up teater dan film ini diharapkan diterapkan dalam pengembangan pariwisata di Lombok. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap yakni tahap penyajian materi teoretis tentang make-up teater dan film serta kelengkapan dan bahan make-up yang sesuai. Tahap kedua adalah pemberian contoh praktik make-up teater dengan salah satu peserta sebagai objek make-up. Tahapan ketiga adalah praktik make-up oleh para peserta secara berpasangan dan pemilihan pasangan dengan make-up terbaik. Pada akhir pelatihan disediakan waktu refleksi dan tanya jawab. Pengabdian ini berhasil memberikan keterampilan dasar make-up karakter bagi para peserta yakni para anggota komunitas seni di kota Mataram.

Abstract

This research focuses on humor in the Rudat Temu Karya performance in southern East Lombok. Most previous studies only studied the story and value aspects of traditional Lombok drama performances, but failed to examine the aspect that is the main attraction for audiences, namely the humor aspect. Based on Berger's humor theory which divides humor techniques into four categories, namely language, logic, identity and action, this research examines the anatomical aspects of traditional Lombok drama humor which relate to the socio-cultural context of Lombok society. The data in this research was collected using interview and documentary methods. The results of this research show that the variations of techniques that are widely used are various humor techniques which include humor in language categories such as ridicule, theme and variations, insults, and puns (play on words). The most dominant technique used is the slapstick technique (rough jokes/jokes) which is included in the action category. Research on this aspect of humor shows that socio-cultural aspects influence the success of humor in rudat Temu Karya performances.
