Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama University Blitar includes the History of Islamic Civilization course as a compulsory subject, especially for institutions affiliated with Islamic religious universities, both public and private throughout Indonesia, including the Islamic Psychology study program. This descriptive qualitative research through literature study with content analysis discusses the urgency of the History of Islamic Civilization course in the Islamic Psychology study program at Nahdlatul Ulama University Blitar. This research found the following three things, among others: First, one of the objectives of studying the history of Islamic civilization is to explore and review the factors that led to the progress of Islam in the field of civilization and what factors caused its decline; Second, the benefits of studying the history of Islamic civilization include educational benefits, social benefits, and predictive benefits; Third, the driving force in studying the history of Islamic civilization is the knowledge contained in the Quran Surah Ali Imran: 190-192; Quran Surah Al-Mujadalah: 11; Quran Surah Bani Israel: 36; Quran Surah Al-Qashash: 77; Quran Surah Ali Imran: 97; Quran Surah Al-Hajj: 46; Quran Surah Az-Zumar: 17-18; and Hadith narrated by Bukhari Muslim

Abstract

Syaikh Ibrahim Al-Matubuli merupakan peletak dasar Tarekat Matubuliyah. Beberapa pesan beliau dikumpulkan dalam Kitab Minahus Saniyah karya Syaikh Abdul Wahab As-Sya’rani yang merupakan salah satu muridnya. Tulisan deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan studi kepustakaan ini akan membahas tujuh belas pesan Syaikh Ibrahim Al-Matubuli yang terdapat dalam kitab tersebut. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan contens analisis dengan memilah-milah data yang sesuai dengan tujuan dan masalah yang dipertanyakan dalam penelitian. Temuan tujuh belas pesan Syaikh Ibrahim Al-Matubuli dalam kitab tersebut, antara lain: konsisten dalam bertaubat, meninggalkan perkara yang diperbolehkan untuk meningkatkan diri menuju Tuhan, menjaga diri dari pamer, memelihara diri dari mengecewakan hati orang lain, menjaga diri dari makanan yang tidak halal, menghindari watak pemalu, menghindari kecurangan dalam bekerja, memerangi nafsu, menyingkir dari keramaian masyarakat, melanggengkan diam, merutinkan shalat malam, menjaga shalat jamaah, menjauhkan diri dari perbuatan dzalim, memperbanyak memohon ampunan kepada Allah, selalu bersikap malu, selalu menjaga adab, dan tidak melalaikan dzikir kepada Allah SWT.

Abstract

Buddhism is a religion that has developed in Indonesia (the archipelago) for quite a long time and has become a guide for people's lives, so that sparks of its teachings can be found in several ancient texts and primbon. This qualitative research using literature study will examine a glimpse of Buddhist teachings contained in the Primbon Atassadhur Adam Book, the meaning of the legacy of Kanjeng Pangeran Harya Cakraningrat, Raden Ngabehi Kartohasmoro, and Raden Soemodidjodjo and compiled by RW. Sumbaga. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things according to the focus and objectives of the research. This research produces the following three conclusions. Firstly, the spark of Buddhist teachings in the primbon book is quoted from the Anguttara Nikaya Book on the opening page as a basis for spiritual practitioners who wish to practice prayers, chant mantras and inner (spiritual) practices through the primbon book. Second, the spark of Buddhist teachings can be intended so that spiritual practitioners through the primbon book can obtain the true truth in accordance with the correct understanding and thoughts. If someone has obtained the true truth in accordance with the correct understanding and thoughts, then he will have broad and deep insight when understanding life which is full of diversity.

Abstract

Implementasi pendidikan karakter bagi orang dewasa berbeda dengan anak-anak. Penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan ini membahas implementasi pendidikan karakter bagi orang dewasa. Teknik analisa datanya menggunakan analisis isi dengan memilah-milah hal-hal yang sesuai dengan fokus dan tujuan penelitian. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan berikut.  Pertama, landasan implementasi pendidikan karakter bagi orang dewasa, antara lain: belajar dari pengalaman, tidak ada konsep menggurui, dialogis, rekonstruksi, mengungkapkan apa yang dialami, menganalisis permasalahan, menyimpulkan, dan melakukan tindakan baru yang lebih utuh. Kedua, prinsip implementasi pendidikan karakter bagi orang dewasa, antara lain: prinsip belajar berpusat pada orang dewasa, prinsip belajar menyelesaikan masalah hidup, prinsip belajar berbasis pengalaman, prinsip belajar aktif dengan melakukan sesuatu, prinsip belajar dengan cara bekerjasama, dan prinsip otentisitas dalam materi. Ketiga, implementasi pendidikan karakter bagi orang dewasa dapat menggunakan model strategi Student Centered Learning (SCL) yang telah ditawarkan para ahli pendidikan sebagaimana berikut, antara lain: small group discussion, simulasi atau demonstrasi, discovery learning (DL) dan self discovery learning (SDL), cooperative learning (CL), collaborative learning (CbL), dan problem based learning/Inquiry (PBL/I).

Abstract

Salah satu Kitab Matan Al-Ghayah wa At-Taqrib karya Syaikh Al-Qadli Abu Suja’ Ahmad bin Al-Husain bin Ahmad Al-Isfahan merupakan kitab fikih bermadzab Syafii yang popular di pesantren. Penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan ini membahas isi pembelajaran dalam kitab tersebut. Teknik analisa datanya menggunakan analisis isi dengan memilah-milah hal-hal yang sesuai dengan fokus dan tujuan penelitian. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan sebagaimana berikut. Pertama, Kitab Matan Al-Ghayah wa At-Taqrib merupakan kitab yang enak dibaca dan mudah dicerna bagi penuntut ilmu yang baru mengenal dan memulai belajar fikih. Kedua, Kitab Matan Al-Ghayah wa At-Taqrib memuat 17 kitab, antara lain: hukum bersuci; hukum shalat; hukum zakat; hukum puasa; hukum haji; hukum jual beli, tansaksi kontrak kerja, dan lainnya: hukum waris dan wasiat; hukum perkawinan dan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengannya; hukum tindakan kriminal; macam-macam hukuman; hukum perang di jalan Allah; hukum binatang buruan dan sembelihan; hukum lomba balap dan memanah; hukum sumpah dan nadzar; hukum peradilan dan kesaksian; hukum memerdekakan hamba sahaya; dan hukum berbagai macam najis dan hukum-hukumnya.

Abstract

Nabi Kong Zi merupakan panutan agama Khonghucu yang salah satu ajarannya berupa Lima Kebajikan (Wu Chang). Penelitian ini menganalisis ajaran Lima Kebajikan (Wu Chang) dari Nabi Kong Zi dengan perspektif Islam. Teknik analisa datanya menggunakan analisis isi dengan memilah-milah hal-hal yang sesuai dengan fokus dan tujuan penelitian. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Lima Kebajikan (Wu Chang) dari Nabi Kong Zi signifikan dengan ajaran Islam sebagaimana pemaparan berikut. Pertama, cinta kasih (ren) merupakan salah satu pilar ajaran Islam yang signifikan dengan QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 165, QS. Al-Anbiya ayat 107, QS. Al-Isra ayat 24, HR. Bukhari, dan HR. Muslim. Kedua, kebenaran (yi) signifikan dengan QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 42, QS. Al-Hasyr ayat 7, QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 147, QS. At-Taubah ayat 119, HR. Ibnu Hibban, serta HR. Bukhari dan Muslim. Ketiga, kesusilaan (li) dalam perspektif Islam signifikan dengan banyak hal, yakni sabar signifikan dengan QS. Ali Imran ayat 200, memberi maaf signifikan dengan QS. Al-Maidah ayat 13, kejujuran signifikan dengan QS. Al-Ahzab ayat 70 dan QS. At-Taubah ayat 119, konsisten (istiqamah) signifikan dengan QS. Huud ayat 112, syukur signifikan dengan QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 152, dan lainnya. Keempat, kebijaksanaan (zhi) signifikan dengan QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 269, QS. An-Nahl ayat 125, dan HR. Bukhari. Kelima, dapat dipercaya (xin) signifikan dengan QS. An-Nisa ayat 58, QS. Al-Anfal ayat 27, HR. Imam Ahmad bin Hambal dan HR. Abu Daud.

Abstract

Pancasila is the foundation of the Indonesian state, derived from various aspects of the nation's founding fathers, including Islamic teachings. This qualitative, literature-based research examines the significance of Pancasila values for character development within Islamic teachings. The data analysis technique used content analysis, selecting elements aligned with the research focus and objectives. This study found that Pancasila values for character development are significant to Islamic teachings: (1) Belief in the One and Only God is significant to Surah Al-Ikhlas verse 1, Surah An-Nahl verse 22, Surah An-Nahl verse 51, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 163, Surah Al-Isra verse 22, Surah Al-Kahf verses 1-4, and Surah Al-Mu'minun verse 91; (2) Just and civilized humanity is significant with Surah Al-Baqarah 213, Surah An-Nisa verse 135, Surah Al-Maidah verse 8, Surah Al-An'am verse 152, Surah Al-A'raf verse 29, Surah An-Nahl verse 90, Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13, Surah Al-Hadid verse 25, and Surah Al-Mumlahanah verse 8; (3) Indonesia's unity is significant with Surah Ali Imran verse 103, Surah Al-Hujurat verses 10-13, Surah Al-Anfal verse 46, Surah Yunus verse 19, Surah Hud verse 118, Surah An-Nahl verse 93, and Surah As-Shura verse 8; (4) Democracy led by wisdom in deliberation or significant representation with Surah Al-Baqarah verse 233 and Surah Ali Imran verse 159; (5) Social justice for all Indonesian people is significant with Surah Al-Baqarah verse 177, Surah An-Nisa verse 36, Surah Ali Imran verse 58, Surah An-Nahl verse 90, Surah Al-Isra verse 26, and Surah As-Shura verse 15.

Abstract

Pesantren as the oldest Islamic religious educational institution in Indonesia is always interesting for researchers to study and research. This study discusses the implementation of cultural and character values ​​for students in Islamic boarding schools. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things that are in accordance with the focus and objectives of the study. This study found that there are 17 cultural and character values ​​of Islamic boarding schools, namely: deepening religious knowledge, dormitory, obedience, exemplary, piety, independence, discipline, simplicity, tolerance, accepting what is, humility, fortitude, solidarity, sincerity, steadfastness, community, and cleanliness. The seventeen cultures and characters of Islamic boarding schools are significant to the content of the Qur'an and Hadith. For example, deepening religious knowledge is significant to Surah Al-Taubah verse 122, Surah Al-Mujadalah verse 11, HR. Ibnu Majah, HR. Thabrani, HR. Muslim, HR. Turmudzi, HR. Bukhari, and HR. Abu Daud. Compliance is significant with Surah An-Nisa verse 59, HR. Muslim. Exemplary behavior is significant with Surah Al-Ahzab verse 21, and Surah Al-Qalam verse 4. Piety is significant in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 21, Surah Al-Mu’min verse 60, and HR. Turmudzi, HR. Hakim, HR. Ahmad, and others. Independence is significant with Surah Al-Mudasir verse 38, HR. Muslim, Abu Daud, and HR. Bukhari. Discipline is significant with Surah Al-Jumuah verse 9-10, HR. Bukhari, HR. Hakim, and others.

Abstract

Purpose - The vision of Indonesia 2045 aims to transform the nation into a sovereign, advanced, and prosperous country. A critical pillar in achieving this goal is the development of human capital that embodies national identity while maintaining global competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the conceptual framework of the Pancasila Student Profile, exploring how its six fundamental dimensions serve as a strategic response to the evolving challenges of the 21st century and as a realization of Indonesia's national educational vision. Design/Methodology/Approach - This research utilizes a qualitative library research method. Data collection was conducted through a study of literature, reports, and books, specifically focusing on primary documents from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The data analysis employed a descriptive-philosophical approach using deduction, induction, and comparison to synthesize the key elements of the student profile framework. Findings - The study identifies that the Pancasila Student Profile is operationalized through six essential dimensions: (1) faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character, which encompasses morality toward nature and the state; (2) global diversity, focusing on intercultural communication and social justice; (3) mutual cooperation, involving collaboration and sharing; (4) independence, which emphasizes self-regulation and situational awareness; (5) critical reasoning, requiring the objective processing of information and metacognition; and (6) creativity, defined by original ideas and flexible problem-solving. These dimensions represent a shift from purely cognitive assessment to a holistic focus on character and global citizenship competencies. Originality/Value - The originality of this study lies in its specific alignment of the Pancasila Student Profile with the long-term trajectory of the "Indonesia 2045 Vision." While existing research focuses on localized character building, this paper provides a comprehensive theoretical roadmap that links the philosophical values of Pancasila with the practical requirements of sustainable global development. It offers significant value for educators and policymakers seeking to synchronize character-based curricula with national strategic planning.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to discuss mutual cooperation in Islam as explored from the main sources of the Quran and Hadith. Design/Methodology/Approach – This qualitative descriptive study with literature review uses content analysis to sort data according to the focus of the study. Findings – This study found that Islam encourages mutual cooperation in goodness and piety, and prohibits mutual assistance in significant crimes, as stated in Surah Al-Maidah verse 2 and Surah Ali Imran verse 104.  Mutual cooperation is encouraged because of social awareness among individuals, prioritizing togetherness to create harmony among members of society, as stated in Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11. Mutual cooperation is also significant in HR. Muslim, HR. Bukhari and Muslim. Islam also allows cooperation and mutual assistance with those of different religions, as stated in Surah At-Taubah verse 6. There are three historical events in Arab civilization related to the culture of mutual cooperation, both before and after the arrival of Islam, namely: the renovation of the Kaaba, the construction of the Prophet's Mosque upon first arriving in Medina, and mutual cooperation in building a trench as a defense during the Battle of Khandaq. Originality/Value – The original value in this study is the discovery of the significance of mutual cooperation with Islamic values based on the Quran and Hadith, which has not been discussed by previous researchers.
