Abstract

Bird isa vertebrate which hasfeataer, reproduce by of laying eggs and help pollination, pest predator and supporting ecosystems. The alm of this study was to determine the species of birds in the rice field area of Sand VillagePasir Baru Rokan Hulu. This study was conducted in December 2014 to January 2015 with survey methods. Samples colleceted with random sampling. Results showed4 orders, 8 families, 9 genera and 12 species, with total 167 individuals. The species were Bubulcus ibis, Halcyon smyrnensis, Hirundo rustica, Lonchura leucogastroides, L. maja, L. punculata, L. striata, Padda oryzivora, Passer montanus, Prinia familiaris, Pycnonotus goiavier and Streptopelia chinensis.

Abstract

Smoked fish is one of the pontential of superior products that are processed through pengasapan Indonesia and drying. This research has been carried out by the method of survey in December 2014 Market Dalu-dalu Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Riau Province. The resesrch aims is to spesies fish that arbitrage in Market Dalu-dalu. Fish that serve smoked fish traded found 10 types of fresh fish, namely: Barau ( Hampala macrolepidota), Baung (Mystus nemerus), gabus (Channa striata), lele jumbo (clarias gariepi ofnus), lele lokal (Claris batrachus), mas (Cyprinus carpio), motan (Thynnichthys polylepis), paten (Pangasius pangasius), selais (Ompok hypophthalmus), and tapah (Wallago leeri).

Abstract

Study about butterflies (Rhopalocera) in complex of Local Government Region Pasir Pengaraian Rokan HuluRiau has been conduafed in Desember 2014 to Januari 2015 with a survey method with a random samplingtechniques. Samples were collected by using insect net in complex area. Result showed 7 families, 10 generaand 10 spesies of butterflies were found, they were Acraea violae, Amathusia phidippus, Ideopsis vulgaris,Junonia orithya, Neptis hylas, Papilio polytes, Appias libythea, Catopsilia scylla, Elymnias hypermnestra danMelanitis leda.

Abstract

Study about species of bird wich are traded in Rokan Hulu regency especially in Kampung Padang has been done in December 2014 with survey method. Samples were found than identified and described by using the reference guide book. Result showed 3 order, 11 families and 19 species of birds wich are traded in Rokan Hulu regency especially in Kampung Padang. The most traded is Passeriformes.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of rice bran on the medium dose of rubber wood dust on oyster mushroomproduction. The research was conducted in the Bangun Jaya village Tambusai utara district Rokan Hulu regencyat the December 2014 to January 2015. The design used in this experiment was completely randomized design(CRD), the single factor that consists of 4 treatments and 4 replications , with treatment 0%, 3%, 5% and 7% ofthe weight baglog. The results showed the addition of rice bran is very significant effect on the initial wet weightappears mycelium and fruiting bodies of oyster mushroom. The addition of rice bran is also significant in the number of oyster mushroom and no real effect on oyster mushroom diameter of fruit bodies.

Abstract

Beberapa mikroorganis medapat mendegradasi amilosa yang terdapat pada tanaman yang memiliki komponen patiter besar. Penelitian isolasi dan seleksi jamur pendegradasi amilosa pada empelur tanaman sagu (Metroxylon saguRottb.), telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat jenis jamur pada empelur tanaman sagu yang memiliki potensi mendegradasi amilosa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis isolat jamur yang memiliki potensi yang baik dalam mendegradasi amilosa. Ke empat jenisisolat jamur yang ditemukan adalah Aspergillus niger, Geotrichumsp., Aspergillusoryzae, dan Rhizopusoyzae. Abstract

The objective of the paper were to identify factors related to conservation strategy of Anaphalis in BTSNP. This study found internal factor related to strength includes the existence of species and value of Anaphalis spp., while the weaknesses include increase of habitat degradation and disturbance caused by tourism activities. The opportunities for conservation includes support of policy in biodiversity conservation and increase of ecotourism movement, while the threats aspect include less control of land uses changes and increase of mass tourism. The SWOT analyses recommends some significant strategy which are derived from combination of enhancing strength to optimizing opportunities, reducing weaknesses and optimizing opportunities, Enhancing strength to reduce threats and managing weaknesses to manage risk.

Abstract

Some microorganism can be amylose degradation which have large starch component in plant. A research about isolation and identification of fungusdegradation in core of plant sago (Metroxylon sagu Rottb.), had been done using purposive sampling method, isolation and selection of microbes alreadyexisted in sago. This research aimed to look fungus species in core of plant sago which amylose degradation potential and to know can be able in amylose degradation. Result showed that species of fungus have amylose degradation potential. Kinds of fungus isolate which founded are Aspergillus niger,Geotrichum sp., Aspergillus oyzae dan Rhizopus oryzae. All the fungus isolate have good and big potential in amylose degradation with afforded to starch degrade at medium to fast rate.

Abstract

The use of plants as traditional medicine has long been known. One of them isBingkek (Entada phaseoloides merr). Seedl of this plant has been being used in folk medicine for stomach ache, hernias and restore the condition of women after childbirth, so as well as food. The study aimed to determine the antioxidant bioactivity of various fractions of seeds Bingkek and to identifity potential antioxidant compounds from this plant. The process started by macerating 500 g of seeds kernel by methanol. After 72 hours, the extract filtered and concentrated by rotary evaporator. Then, 80 g methanol exstract is fractioned by hexane, dicloromethane and athyl acetate. The result gained are 0.8 g hexane, dicloromethane 0.4 g, ethyl acetate 0.7 g and residual extract 23 g. the test result of each fraction antioxsidant bioactivity wit DPPH, showed 909,35 μg/mL hexane extract, 507,74 μg/mL dicloromethane, 712,61 μg/mL ethyl acetate and 77,60 μg/mL residual extract. The best value closest to vitamin C is the residual extract. Then, the phyrochemical profile showed that in residual extract contains phenolic compounds, triterpenoids, coumarin and saponins. It can be concluded that the residual extract has potential as good antioxidant. Further more it is necessary to carry out the study of of the potential compounds of the antioxidant.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain in women that interferes with daily activities. Dysmenorrhea causes decreased productivity, performance, sleep disturbances, and quality of life. The use of antidysmenorrhoea drugs such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, oral contraceptive pills have many side effects in the form of nerve disorders, blood vessels, and even heart failure. Therefore, the exploration of natural medicines is essential. One of the traditional medicinal ingredients that is thought to have efficacy in relieving menstrual pain is black sugarcane leaves (Saccharum officinarum L.). Testing the efficacy of this medicinal ingredient can be done in silico using computational biology technology. This in silico study is effective in drug discovery efforts because it is cost and time-efficient. This study aims to analyze the ability of black sugarcane leaf phytochemical compounds to inhibit the dysmenorrhea pathway's activation based on molecular docking. This observational study is based on bioinformatics using the molecular docking method. Research data were obtained from analysis using software computing programs such as the National Center for Biotechnology Information, prediction of activity spectra of substances, Lipinski rule of five tests, pyrx, and discovery studio. The research data were analyzed based on the binding affinity value and visualization of the molecular docking results. Black sugarcane leaves contain 27 phytochemical compounds based on GCMS analysis with various bioactivities related to anti-dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain). 16 compounds have activity probability values (Pa) > 0.7, which indicates that their bioactivity is analogous to that of commercial drugs (natural effective drug candidates). The hexadecanoic acid compound is the best anti-dysmenorrhea drug candidate compared to other phytochemical compounds in black sugarcane leaves because it has the lowest binding affinity value of -6 kcal/mol.Dismenorea merupakan nyeri menstruasi pada wanita yang mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Dismenorea menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas, penurunan prestasi, gangguan tidur, dan penurunan kualitas hidup. Penggunaan obat antidismenorea seperti antiinflamasi non steroid, pil kontrasepsi oral memiliki banyak efek samping berupa gangguan saraf, pembuluh darah, bahkan gagal jantung. Oleh karena itu, eksplorasi obat berbahan alami sangat diperlukan. Salah satu bahan obat tradisional yang diduga memiliki khasiat dalam meredakan nyeri menstruasi yaitu daun tebu ireng (Saccharum officinarum L.). Pengujian khasiat bahan obat ini dapat dilakukan secara in silico menggunakan teknologi biologi komputasi. Kajian secara in silico ini efektif digunakan dalam upaya penemuan obat karena efisien biaya dan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan senyawa fitokimia daun tebu ireng dalam menghambat aktivasi jalur dismenorea berdasarkan molecular docking. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi berbasis bioinformatika dengan menggunakan metode molecular docking. Data penelitian diperoleh dari analisis menggunakan program komputasi software seperti National Center for Biotechnology Information, prediction of activity spectra of substances, lipinski rule of five test, pyrx, dan discovery studio. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan nilai binding affinity dan visualisasi hasil molecular docking. Daun tebu ireng mengandung 27 senyawa fitokimia berdasarkan analisis GCMS yang memiliki berbagai bioaktivitas terkait dengan anti-dismenorea (nyeri menstruasi). 16 senyawa memiliki nilai probabilitas activity (Pa) > 0,7 yang mengindikasikan bahwa bioaktivitasnya analog dengan obat komersil (kandidat obat efektif alami). Senyawa hexadecanoic acid merupakan kandidat obat anti-dismenorea terbaik dibandingkan senyawa fitokimia lainnya pada daun tebu ireng karena memiliki nilai binding affinity terendah yaitu -6 kkal/mol.
