Abstract

This study aims to model and analyse the perceptions of domestic tourists riding motorcycle on traffic safety using Bali Province in Indonesia as the case study area. Structural Equation Model was constructed to examine the causal relationship among the motorcyclists' characteristics, perceptions and attitudes. Young domestic tourist riding motorcycle were found to be less likely to involve in cornering and speeding than the older ones. In addition, the level of education has been found insignificant to influence domestic tourists becoming more aware of motorcycle traffic safety. Meanwhile, motorcyclists scoring high on aggressive riding are considered to be more likely to interact with risky riding such as speeding and cornering. In addition, speeding has been considered as a significant contributing factor in traffic accidents and casualties. In a response this study finding, further studies and some initiatives are suggested to increase road safety particularly motorcycle traffic safety in Bali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan dan menganalisis persepsi wisatawan domestik yang mengendarai sepeda motor terhadap keselamatan lalu lintas di Provinsi Bali. Structural Equation Model disusun untuk menganalisis hubungan kausal antara karakteristik, persepsi dan sikap pengendara sepeda motor. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa wisatawan domestik usia muda dibandingkan yang berusia lebih tua saat mengendarai sepeda motor lebih kecil kemungkinannya untuk berkendara dengan kecepatan tinggi di jalan raya. Sementara itu, tingkat pendidikan wisatawan domestik tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam peningkatan kesadaran terhadap keselamatan berlalu lintas saat mengendarai sepeda motor. Wisatawan domestik yang teridentifikasi pengendara sepeda motor yang agresif cenderung berperilaku yang beresiko seperti berkendara dengan kecepatan tinggi di jalan raya. Berkendara dengan kecepatan tinggi juga berkontribusi signifikan terhadap tingkat keparahan korban luka-luka akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas. Studi lanjutan terkait temuan pada penelitian ini dibahas pada artikel ini dan beberapa inisiatif untuk meningkatkan keselamatan lalu lintas bagi pengendara sepeda motor di Bali.

Abstract

Simpang Pesanggaran diatur menggunakan Alat Pemberi Isyarat Lampu Lalu Lintas (APILL) dan Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) yang berguna untuk mengatur pergerakan lalu lintas pada masing-masing lengan simpang. Penggunaan APILL dan ATCS pada Simpang Pesanggaran belum efektif, dilihat dari tingginya tundaan dan panjangnya antrian. Tujuan penelitian adalah analisis kinerja Simpang Pesanggaran tahun 2021, analisis kinerja Simpang Pesanggaran tanpa dan dengan adanya terbangun underpass tahun 2024, analisis biaya dan manfaat dari rencana pembangunan underpass, serta analisis kelayakan ekonomi rencana pembangunan underpass. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Menurut analisis didapat kinerja Simpang Pesanggaran tahun 2021 diperoleh tingkat pelayanan semua jam puncak adalah F. Kinerja Simpang Pesanggaran tanpa adanya underpass (tahun 2024) tingkat pelayanan pada semua jam puncak adalah F. Kinerja Simpang Pesanggaran tahun 2024 apabila underpass telah terbangun tingkat pelayanan adalah B. Manfaat ditinjau dari Penghematan Biaya Pemakai Jalan berupa penghematan BOK dan nilai waktu dalam setahun Rp. 98.921.927.800 pada tahun 2024. Besarnya perkiraan biaya untuk rencana pembangunan underpass Pesanggaran adalah sebesar Rp. 421.895.392,500 terbagi dalam biaya pembebasan lahan dan konstruksi. Analisis kelayakan ekonomi dengan tingkat suku bunga sebesar 12%, 15%, dan 18% diperoleh nilai NPV Positif, BCR >1, dan IRR > i. Dari hasil analisis sensitivitas menggunakan tiga suku bunga bank, diperoleh hasil bahwa proyek sensitif terhadap perubahan.

Abstract

One alternative way to reduce the use of natural aggregate and asphalt is the use of recycled materials of old road pavement or Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The asphalt within the RAP generally had become stiffer due to ageing, therefore it needs to be mixed with a rejuvenating agent. An alternative organic oil-based refining agent that can be used for rejuvenating rigid asphalt is Waste Cooking Oil (WCO). The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of asphalt mixtures at Optimum Bitumen Content (OBC) and at best WCO content. The asphalt mixture manufacturing method used was Marshall Method. The variation of RAP materials was 25% and 50%, with added aggregate material to meet the ideal mid gradation. For each variation of RAP content, was produced mixtures with variation of of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% (by weight of total asphalt) where for each of those variation of RAP with variations of WCO rejuvinating materials, were made asphalt content variation of 5%; 5.5%; 6%; 6.5%; and 7%, then the OBC was determined. For the mixture with 50% RAP, the OBC was 6.3%, with best result on 8% WCO. On misture with 25% RAP the  OBC was 6.2%, with best result on 4% WCO. The Marshall characteristics met the specifications. The mixture of 50% RAP with 8% WCO has lower stiffness and deformation resistance, however the performance of this mixtre was good enough on fatigue test.

Abstract

Masks are essential for preventing people from breathing in dangerous compounds and airborne pollutants. On the other hand, incorrect mask disposal presents a serious environmental risk. Medical masks are mostly made of polypropylene and are formed of three layers: a central layer of melt-blown material, an outer layer of waterproof non-woven fabric, and an interior layer. This research aims to determine the effect of medical mask waste fiber on the rheological characteristics of asphalt. In terms of the rheological characteristics of asphalt, the addition of asphalt will decrease the penetration, ductility, specific gravity, and lost on heating, and increase the viscosity, softening point, and flash point. The positive impact is that the inclusion of mask waste results in increased asphalt hardness, enhancing resistance to rutting. On the other hand, the negative impact is that the inclusion of masking waste will reduce the resistance to cracking due to the reduced elasticity.

Abstract

Utilization of tabas stone waste and polypropylene (PP) plastic waste has not been carried out massively and optimally because it lacks economic value. The Tabas stone waste can be used as an aggregate for pavement. The porous characteristic of tabas stone results in a high rate of absorption and abrasion, so modifications are made by coating the aggregate with an PP plastic. The aim of this experiment was to determine the characteristics of the HRS-WC mixture with the aggregate of tabas stone coated with plastic. The initial step of this research was testing the tabas stone aggregates, bitumen material, and PP plastic according to the SNI procedure, the next step was Marshall test to find the Optimum Bitumen Content (OBC), the OBC value was obtained by 10%. Coating the aggregate with shredded plastic measuring ± 1 cm2 was done on coarse aggregate only using the dry method with the proportions of plastic are 5% and 10% of the total weight of coarse aggregate. The characteristics of the aggregate coated with plastic decrease in the value of absorption and abrasion, but only 10% of the plastic content met the specifications with a value of 2.5% and 19.63%. The Marshall testing on the HRS-WC mixture with plastic-coated aggregates was done at variations in bitumen content of 8.5%; 9%; 9.5%. The mixture at 5% plastic content only 9.5% bitumen content met the specifications, namely: stability 1352.72 kg, flow 3.39 mm, MQ 402.23 kg/mm, VIM 5.75%, VMA 18.62% , and VFB 69.16%. When at 10% plastic content, only 9% and 9.5% bitumen content met the specifications, namely the stability of 1370.06 kg; 1456.21 kg, flow 3.81 mm; 3.98 mm, MQ 365.31 kg/mm; 370.06 kg/mm, VIM 5.77%; 4.89%, VMA 18.07%; 18; 15%, and VFB 68.05%; 73.04%. Asphalt mixture of 9% bitumen content, 10% plastic content has more ITSM  value compared to 5% plastic content. This is due to the plastic content in the mixture of 10% plastic content which causes the mixture to be stiffness. Asphalt mixture with a plastic content of 5%, with an bitumen content of 9.5% faster than the mixture with an bitumen content of 8.5% and 9% in the ITFT test. Asphalt mixture with a plastic content of 5%, with a variation of bitumen of 8.5% experienced a decrease in the dynamic creep strain value until the bitumen content was 9.5%. A mixture with a plastic content of 5% aggregate coating is recommended for HRS WC that uses tabas stone.

Abstract

Masker adalah perlindungan pernafasan yang digunakan sebagai metode untuk melindungi individu dari menghirup zat-zat bahaya atau kontaminan yang berada di udara. Meskipun masker sangat diperlukan untuk menghindari penyebaran virus Corona, namun pembuangan masker mengancam lingkungan. Masker medis terdiri  dari  tiga  lapisan,  lapisan luar  dan  lapisan  dalam  adalah  kain  non-woven yang tahan  air dan lapisan tengah adalah bahan  yang  meleleh. Sebagian besar, komposisi kimia dari masker medis adalah polipropilena. Pada review ini akan dibahas penggunaan limbah masker yang mengandung polipropilena sebagai bahan aditif dalam pembuatan campuran aspal beton. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dari peneliti terdahulu dan analisis penambahan limbah masker yang mengandung polipripilena yang berpengaruh terhadap campuran aspal beton. Sumber utama refrensi artikel ini berasal dari Research Gate, Science Direct, dan Google Scholar. Ditemukan bahwa penggunaan limbah masker yang mengandung polipropilena ke dalam campuran aspal beton memenuhi spesifikasi yang berlaku (nilai VIM, VMA, VFA, Stabilitas, dan Flow).

Abstract

Simpang Jl. Raya Canggu– Jl. Kerobokan – Jl. Gunung Sanghyang merupakan simpang bersinyal penghubung antara kecamatan Kuta Utara dengan Denpasar Barat. Daerah ini memiliki laju pertumbuhan kendaraan yang terus meningkat, sehingga sering menyebabkan konflik terutama pada saat jam-jam sibuk (peak hour), sehingga kerap kali kemacetan dan antrian kendaraan pada setiap pendekat simpang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja simpang eksisting, menganalisis alternatif penanganan simpang yang paling optimal, dan menganalisis kinerja simpang pada tahun 2027. Data sinyal APILL, geometri simpang, volume lalu lintas dan tata guna lahan diperoleh dari survei dengan Traffic Counting. Analisis kinerja simpang didasarkan pada Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia 1997. Hasil kinerja simpang eksisting diperoleh DS rata-rata 0,952 smp/jam-1,149 smp/jam, sedangkan tundaan rata-rata diperoleh 267,813 det/smp-453,452 det/smp. Alternatif penanganan simpang eksisting dengan alternatif yang paling baik digunakan, pelebaran geometrik simpang, pengaturan ulang sinyal APILL (re-setting), perubahan sirkulasi arus lalu lintas menghasilkan DS rata-rata 0,43 smp/jam-0,516 smp/jam, sedangkan tundaan rata-rata diperoleh 46,694 det/smp-49,492 det/smp . Prediksi kinerja simpang pada tahun 2027, dengan menerapkan alternatif pengaturan simpang yang sesuai, meningkatkan kinerja simpang lebih baik dengan nilai DS rata-rata 0,508 smp/jam-0,611 smp/jam, serta menghasilkan tundaan rata-rata sebesar 48,48 det/smp-53,027 det/smp.

Ditemukan bahwa unsur senyawa yang paling dominan pada masker medis adalah Si (Silika) sebesar 59,11%. Penambahan silika pada campuran aspal dapat meningkatkan ketahanan terhadap kerusakan alur, peningkatan nilai modulus, dan umur fatigue.

Abstract

 Jalan Imam Bonjol is a road section located in the West Denpasar sub-district, precisely in the Pemecutan Klod area there is Rahayu Market which has activities in the morning. Activities in this market will indirectly reduce the performance of the section because there are large roadside obstacles. This study was conducted to determine how the performance of the section that occurs on the Imam Bonjol section with and without market activity followed by the impacts that occur. This research includes primary data collection to obtain road geometric values, vehicle volumes, and roadside obstacles, as well as speed (spot speed). The data obtained were analysed using the MKJI 1997 method. The results of the analysis of the performance of road sections in the presence of market activities in two conditions where the traffic volume for hourly conditions at peak times has Q of 1857.35 smp/hour, C of 2946.806 smp/hour, DS 0.63, V 23.92 km/hour with level of service F. While for the peak hour the side obstacle has Q of 690.15 smp/hour, C of 2626.501 smp/hour, DS worth 0.26, V of 19.2 km/hour with level of service F. The performance of the road section without the market obtained Q of 1846.2 smp/hour, C of 3203.05 smp/hour, DS worth 0.58, V of 36.8 km/hour with level of service C. Comparison of road section performance for traffic volume increased 1% and decreased 63% than without market, capacity decreased 8% and 18% than without market, degree of saturation increased 9% and decreased 55% than without market, speed decreased 35% and 48% than without market.
