Abstract

This research aims to determine the dimensions of Islamic theology based on the verses of the Koran which are analyzed based on Asbab al-Nuzul. Islamic theology not only includes an understanding of Allah and His teachings, but also includes an understanding of the relationship between humans and their creators, as well as the daily life implications of these teachings. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Thus, the results of this research show that first, the concept of monotheism of Allah as contained in the QS. al-‘Alaq verses 1-5, highlights the greatness and oneness of Allah as the creator of the universe and the source of all knowledge. These verses emphasize the importance of science and education in the Islamic religion, as well as strengthening the theological foundation of Islam about the oneness of Allah and the importance of learning. Second, the concept of the afterlife or doomsday, taking into account Asbab al-Nuzul, especially in the QS. al-Qiyamah verses 6-9, emphasizes the truth and certainty of resurrection and the Day of Judgment, as well as the importance of preparation and responsibility in the afterlife for every individual. These verses confirm Muslims' belief in the Day of Judgment as an integral part of their beliefs. Third, the concept of freedom in Islam, which is analyzed through Asbab al-Nuzul QS. Yusuf verse 99, emphasizes the importance of freedom to choose forgiveness and forgiveness, freedom from hostility and revenge, and freedom in achieving spiritual salvation. This verse provides an example of the importance of choosing the path of peace and forgiveness in human relationships. Thus, the text provides an in-depth understanding of Islamic theological concepts, including the concepts of Allah, the afterlife, and freedom, and shows how these concepts are reflected in the verses of the Qur'an by considering Asbab al-Nuzul.

Abstract

The research problem is directly related to the model of tarekat-based HEI, because many unique relationships are found between HEI and tarekat, or vice versa tarekat and HEI. The efforts of spiritual ideologization practiced in educational institutions are efforts to expand the doctrine and ritual of tarekat through educational institutions. The results of this study identify the position of tarekat-based HEI such as UNPAB and IAILM, namely; that initially UNPAB was called the Metaphysics College then became the Panca Budi Development University (UNPAB), so that the position of the college is like a general college. While IAILM was initially an Islamic Da'wah College in its development into the Latifah Mubarokiyah Islamic Institute, where the position of the college is like an 'Islamic religious college based on Islamic Boarding Schools' by implementing a dormitory system as an effort to counter the development of science, especially religious science. The efforts of spiritual ideologization at UNPAB have more significant implications in influencing its students (students) than the spiritual ideologization that takes place at IAILM. This is because Habitus – spiritual teacher – IAILM historically has had a very large capital of honor and prestige in the community in Tasimalaya, so that its ideologization is only in the internal realm (Muslims).

Abstract

Tujuan Penulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan yang mendalam antara Surat Ad-Duha (Surat ke-93 dalam Al-Quran) dan dinamika kehidupan manusia modern. Dalam konteks ini, kajian mengulas bagaimana pesan-pesan Al-Quran dapat berfungsi sebagai pemandu menghadapi tantangan zaman seperti kesepian, stres, dan materialisme, serta membangun optimisme, kedamaian batin, dan keseimbangan spiritual di tengah krisis hidup. Penafsiran Surat Ad-Duha, serta asbabun nuzul (sebab turunnya) memiliki implikasi luas terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari manusia masa kini. Analisis ini menunjukkan bagaimana pesan-pesan yang terkandung di dalamnya, meskipun turun dalam konteks spesifik, tetap relevan sebagai penyeimbang kehidupan modern yang kompleks dan penuh tantangan. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian berfokus pada eksplorasi mendalam terhadap sumber-sumber terkait seperti kitab tafsir, hadits, dan karya tulis lain untuk mendeskripsikan serta mengkritisi konteks dan relevansi pesan Al-Quran yang dikaji. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Surat Ad-Duha membawa pesan-pesan transformatif yang tetap relevan dalam kehidupan manusia modern. Pesan-pesan tersebut mencakup keyakinan yang kuat kepada Allah SWT, syukur atas nikmat-Nya, kesabaran menghadapi ujian hidup, optimisme serta harapan yang kokoh, dan pentingnya hubungan yang harmonis dengan sesama, yang kesemuanya mampu menjadi panduan spiritual di tengah arus perubahan zaman. Novelty (Keunikan) analisis yang sangat signifikan ini terletak pada pendekatan komprehensif yang mengaitkan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran dengan konteks kehidupan kekinian secara kritis. Pendekatan ini memperjelas bahwa pesan ilahi yang terkandung dalam Surat Ad-Duha dapat berfungsi sebagai solusi praktis bagi tantangan psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual yang dihadapi manusia modern. The purpose of this writing is to analyze the profound relationship between Surah Ad-Duha (the 93rd chapter of the Quran) and the dynamics of modern human life. In this context, the study explores how the messages of the Quran can serve as a guide for facing contemporary challenges such as loneliness, stress, and materialism, while fostering optimism, inner peace, and spiritual balance amid life's crises. The interpretation of Surah Ad-Duha, as well as its asbabun nuzul (the reasons for its revelation), holds broad implications for the daily lives of people today. This analysis demonstrates how its messages, despite being revealed in a specific context, remain relevant as a balancing force in a complex and challenging modern life. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive method with a library study approach, focusing on an in-depth exploration of related sources such as tafsir books, hadith, and other written works to describe and critically assess the context and relevance of the Quranic messages under study. The study’s findings indicate that Surah Ad-Duha delivers transformative messages that remain highly relevant to modern human life. These messages include a strong faith in Allah SWT, gratitude for His blessings, patience in facing life's trials, unwavering optimism and hope, and the importance of harmonious relationships with others. Together, these values can serve as a spiritual guide amidst the tides of changing times. The novelty (uniqueness) of this analysis lies in its comprehensive approach, which critically links the Quranic verses to the context of contemporary life. This approach clarifies that the divine messages within Surah Ad-Duha can serve as practical solutions to the psychological, social, and spiritual challenges faced by modern humans.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Asbabun Nuzul Surah Al-Zalzalah ayat 7-8 dengan konsep "mata keberhasilan" dalam perspektif keagamaan. Surah Al-Zalzalah menggambarkan peristiwa besar pada hari kiamat yang melibatkan gempa bumi dahsyat, dan dalam ayat 7-8 disebutkan bahwa setiap amal perbuatan manusia akan diperlihatkan dan diberi balasan sesuai dengan amalnya. Pemahaman terhadap konteks asbabun nuzul dari ayat-ayat ini memberikan wawasan penting mengenai peran individu dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk kehidupan akhirat, serta menunjukkan pentingnya perbuatan baik dan keikhlasan dalam meraih keberhasilan spiritual. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ialah metode kualitatif dimana kajian ini kami tinjau dari berbagai sumber yang berasal dari perpustakaan(library research )dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan penelitian. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada cara pandang manusia terhadap pencapaian yang lebih tinggi, yaitu amal soleh yang diterima oleh Allah di akhirat. Asbabun nuzul Surah Al-Zalzalah ayat 7-8 menekankan pada akuntabilitas perbuatan manusia, dimana setiap amal, baik atau buruk, akan dipertanggungjawabkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan dalam perspektif agama bukan hanya terletak pada pencapaian duniawi, tetapi pada keberhasilan spiritual yang didasarkan pada kualitas amal yang dilakukan di dunia. Pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang ayat ini membantu umat Islam untuk lebih fokus pada perbuatan yang dapat membawa pada keberhasilan hakiki di akhirat. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Asbabun Nuzul Surah Al-Zalzalah verses 7-8 with the concept of “eye of success” in a religious perspective. Surah Al-Zalzalah describes a major event on the Day of Judgment involving a devastating earthquake, and in verses 7-8 it is mentioned that every human deed will be shown and rewarded according to its deeds. Understanding the asbabun nuzul context of these verses provides important insights into the role of the individual in preparing for the afterlife, as well as demonstrating the importance of good deeds and sincerity in achieving spiritual success. The method used in the research is a qualitative method where we review this study from various sources derived from the library (library research) with data collection techniques with research. The findings in this study refer to the way humans view higher achievements, namely good deeds that are accepted by Allah in the afterlife. Asbabun nuzul Surah Al-Zalzalah verses 7-8 emphasizes the accountability of human actions, where every deed, good or bad, will be accounted for. The study concludes that success in a religious perspective lies not only in worldly achievements, but in spiritual success that is based on the quality of deeds done in the world. A deeper understanding of this verse helps Muslims to focus more on actions that can lead to ultimate success in the hereafter.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the urgency and application of Asbabun Nuzul in Syekh Wahbah az-Zuhaili's Tafsir Al-Munir, one of the most influential commentaries on the Qur'an in the Islamic world. Asbabun Nuzul is a study of the historical background of the revelation of the verses of the Koran, which is an important key in understanding the meaning, context and legal objectives contained in these verses. This research focuses on analyzing the interpretive methods used by Sheikh Wahbah az-Zuhaili in integrating Asbabun Nuzul into his tafsir, as well as identifying the contribution of this approach in explaining the relevance of the verses of the Qur'an to modern situations. Through a descriptive-analytical approach, this research examines the brief biography of Sheikh Wahbah az-Zuhaili, his interpretation method, as well as examples of the application of Asbabun Nuzul to certain verses in Tafsir Al-Munir. The research results show that Asbabun Nuzul plays a strategic role in the interpretation of Al-Munir, not only in contextualizing the meaning of the verse but also in building a legal foundation that is in accordance with sharia principles. Apart from that, Sheikh Wahbah az-Zuhaili's interpretive method which is comprehensive, systematic and based on a contextual approach makes a significant contribution in enriching the treasures of Al-Qur'an exegesis studies. It is hoped that this research will provide new insight into the importance of understanding the historical context of Al-Qur'an verses in interpretation, as well as strengthening understanding of Al-Munir's interpretation as one of the main references in modern tafsir studies.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan narkoba dan zat merupakan permasalahan global yang mempunyai dampak besar terhadap kesehatan, kehidupan sosial dan stabilitas perekonomian masyarakat. Dalam konteks Islam, Al-Qur’an telah memberikan petunjuk mengenai larangan minuman yang memabukkan, sebagaimana tercantum dalam Surat Al-Baqarah, ayat 219 dan Surat Al-Maideh, ayat 90. Kedua ayat ini menekankan pentingnya menghindari khamr, yang pada waktu itu dikenal sebagai minuman yang memabukkan, sebagai salah satu bentuknya. Mencegah kerusakan pada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya kedua ayat tersebut dalam menangani permasalahan penyalahgunaan narkoba yang semakin marak di dunia modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis literatur, yaitu pengumpulan dan analisis berbagai terbitan serta tafsir yang menyertainya untuk memahami konteks ayat asbabun nuzul dan penerapan ajaran Al-Qur’an terhadap permasalahan tersebut. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelarangan alkohol dalam Al-Quran tidak hanya didasarkan pada faktor agama, tetapi juga pada aspek sosial yang penting bagi konteks sosial saat ini. Ayat 219 Surat Al-Baqarah dan ayat 90 Surat Al-Ma’idah mengajarkan pentingnya kebijakan progresif untuk mengatasi masalah kecanduan narkoba melalui pendidikan moral dan kontrol sosial. Kesimpulannya, ajaran Al-Quran tentang larangan alkohol dapat menjadi rujukan bagi perancangan kebijakan pencegahan narkoba di Indonesia. Masyarakat dan tetap relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Asbabun Nuzul Surah AlQolam ayat 4 dan hubungannya dengan konsep "akhlak yang mulia". Surah AlQolam ayat 4 menceritakan tentang kemuliaan sifat dan kepribadiannya baginda nabi Muhammad Saw. Pemahaman terhadap konteks asbabun nuzul dari ayat-ayat ini memberikan wawasan penting mengenai peran individu dalam membenahi sikap dalam kehidupan sehari hari, serta menunjukkan pentingnya perbuatan baik dan keikhlasan hati. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ialah metode kualitatif dimana kajian ini kami tinjau dari berbagai sumber yang berasal dari perpustakaan(library research )dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan penelitian. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada bagaimana sikap dan perbuatan nabi pada kehidupan sehari harinya. Asbabun nuzul Surah AlQolam ayat 4 menekankan akhlak yang baik, dan dimana setiap amal, baik atau buruk, akan dipertanggungjawabkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa akhlak yang baik bukan hanya berbuat baik kepada diri sendiri, tetapi bagaimana dengan kehadiran kita membuat orang disekitar nyaman.

Abstract

The topic was brought up by the researcher as a student's encounter with moral Sufism, which is defined by social behavior. Some pupils behave badly in social situations. Students today tend to undervalue moral ideals, which leads them to believe that social interaction in the classroom and in society is unimportant. They also prefer to disregard their responsibilities, which they should fulfill. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how Moral Sufism affects the social behavior of students enrolled in the 2019 class of the Islamic Aqidah and Philosophy Study Program at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Studies, University of the Nija. The author's primary data source for this study was informants, who were gathered using a qualitative approach method. Specifically, students enrolled in the 2019 Aqidah and Islamic philosophy study program. The data gathering method used in this study is based on references from multiple Sufism moral texts, as well as on the findings of interviews and field observations. According to the study's findings, moral sufism encourages students to act in a way that is socially responsible for people around them by attempting to achieve equilibrium in the forms of social conduct that are already prevalent, such as in the classroom, family, and community. Moral Sufism's moral principles serve as a form of control and discipline, ensuring that students' higher education experiences remain unblemished by external influences.

Abstract

The Sarafal Anam tradition, performed during the Maulid celebration in Aceh Tamiang, reflects a culturally embedded practice through which Qur’anic values are enacted and transmitted. While often seen as a ceremonial event, this tradition offers deeper significance as a form of lived engagement with sacred texts, particularly within the framework of the Living Qur’an. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, using field observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to examine the embodiment of Qur’anic values in the Sarafal Anam tradition. The research was conducted in Kaloy Village, a community known for its consistent preservation of this practice. Thematic analysis was employed with the support of NVivo software to identify key patterns and values expressed through the tradition. Findings reveal that Sarafal Anam functions both as a religious ritual and an educational medium that transmits Qur’anic principles such as prophetic devotion, compassion, social solidarity, and moral responsibility. The practice integrates elements of local culture—regional language, traditional foods, and poetic forms—demonstrating how Islamic values adapt to and are sustained within specific cultural contexts. The tradition plays an important role in character development, especially among the youth, though recent trends show a decline in their active participation. The Sarafal Anam tradition exemplifies the Living Qur’an, offering a meaningful intersection between scripture and culture. To ensure its sustainability, the study recommends youth-centered revitalization efforts, digital adaptation, and institutional support. This research contributes to Qur’anic studies by highlighting how localized rituals serve as dynamic sites for ethical education and cultural continuity in the modern Muslim world.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep zuhud dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an sebagai jalan menuju kesempurnaan manusia. Zuhud menekankan pengendalian diri terhadap godaan duniawi dan mengutamakan kehidupan akhirat. Konsep ini mendorong umat Muslim untuk tidak terikat secara berlebihan pada harta benda, serta lebih memfokuskan diri pada pertumbuhan spiritual dan amal kebajikan. Di era modern, kemajuan teknologi dan arus materialisme menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam mengamalkan zuhud. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman dan penerapan nilai-nilai zuhud sangat penting untuk mencapai keseimbangan, kedamaian batin, dan kesempurnaan manusia yang sejati sesuai ajaran Islam.
