Abstract

Dalam aplikasi engineering banyak ditemukan peralatan yang menggunakan silinder, seperti tiang penyangga jembatan, cerobong asap, dan sebagainya. Peralatan-peralatan ini mengalami hembusan udara setiap saat, yang menyebabkan kekuatan konstruksinya mengalami penurunan, hal ini disebabkan adanya drag yang arahnya searah dengan arah aliran. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi drag adalah dengan memanipulasi medan aliran fluida. Manipulasi aliran fluida dapat dilakukan secara pasif antara lain dengan menambahkan helical strake pada permukaan silinder, menambahkan penghalang di depan silinder dan sebagainya. Dalam penelitian ini manipulasi aliran fluida dilakukan dengan menambahkan O-ring pada permukaan silinder. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh variasi diameter O-ring terhadap koefisien drag. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sebuah wind tunnel yang terdiri dari blower, pipa pitot, manometer, timbangan digital, dan silinder. Penambahan O-ring diletakkan pada permukaan silinder dengan variasi diameter O-ring yaitu 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm dan jarak antar O-ring 30mm. Silinder diletakkan ke arah vertikal. Bilangan Reynolds berdasarkan diameter silinder (60mm) adalah Re = 3,64 x .Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan koefisien drag dibandingkan tanpa variasi O-ring. Nilai koesisien drag terendah didapat dari variasi diameter O-ring 5mm atau d/D=0,08 dengan nilai 0,650259, dimana terjadi penurunan drag sebesar  24,15% dibandingkan dengan silinder tanpa O-ring.

Abstract

Four shaped models of delivery valve had been investigated and compared to improve performance of a hydraulic ram. Hydraulic ram pumps have been constructed and operated. Most of them built locally using steel pipe fittings that commercially accessible in the market rather than factory-made one. These have assisted inhabitants in rural or hilly area where water sources available for water supply services or irrigations. However, the major problem challenged by the public was on designing and repairing of the impulse and delivery valves of the pumps. Performance of the pumps are affected predominantly by the both valves. One characteristic of the valves is their shape. Considered on the characteristics of the fluid flow through surface of plate and sphere object are different on the pattern and losses. Therefore, investigation is necessitated to find a proper shape of the delivery valve for enhancing the performance of the pump. In this research four valve models were experimented to assess the hydraulic ram pump performance on varies delivery heads. The results show that the sphere model of the delivery valve offered the best efficiency, then followed by the membrane, the half-sphere and the flat delivery valve models. However, the rounded model: sphere and half-sphere delivery valve model were facing obstructions in implementation for a high delivery head.

Abstract

The installation of tarpaulins on the body of pickup trucks is often used to protect goods from heat and rain, which affect airflow patterns, pressure distribution, and vehicle aerodynamics. This research was conducted to determine the airflow pattern and pressure distribution characteristics such as static pressure, dynamic pressure, and pressure coefficient that affect the performance of a tarpaulin-fitted pickup truck. Experimental tests were carried out on 6 specimens, namely pickup trucks without using a tarp or baseline, pickup trucks fitted with tonneau cover tarpaulins (type A), Aerocap tarpaulins with an angle of 0° (type B) and 12° (type C), and Cincing tarpaulins with foot angle of 30° (Type D) and 15° (Type E) in the wind tunnel at a speed of 5.47 m/s. The results showed that the more aerodynamic the use of tarpaulins resulted in a streamlined flow pattern, as shown by the use of 12° aerocap tarpaulins, which had more aerodynamic flow and the most stable fluctuations in the Cp value, blockage mass, and smaller obstacles compared to other pickup trucks.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the airflow pattern and pressure distribution characteristics of a pickup truck with a roof deflector added. with an angle of curvature of 20° and is accompanied by the installation of a tarpaulin cover on the body of the pickup truck. The method used in this study is an experimental method by testing 6 specimens, namely a pickup truck added with a roof deflector without using a tarp or baseline, a pickup truck added with a roof deflector fitted with a tonneau cover tarp (type A), aerocap tarpaulin with an angle of 0° (type B). and 12° (type C), and cincing type tarpaulin with a foot angle of 15° (type D) and 30° (type E) in a wind tunnel with a speed of 5.47 m/s. The more aerodynamic the use of tarpaulin, the more the blockage mass will be reduced so that it can produce a streamlined flow pattern. The results showed that the pickup truck added with a roof deflector with a 15° cincing tarp had a stable Cp value fluctuation at the rear of the pickup truck, while the pickup truck added a roof deflector with a 12° aerocap tarp. as well as produce aerodynamic flow thereby reducing the occurrence of blockage mass and obstacles.

Abstract

This research is to assist coaches in assessing the technical implementation of serves and their relationship to achieving the main aspects of service movements in sepaktakraw. The purpose of the study is to validate the observation instrument to assess the technical implementation of the top service in Sepaktakaw. This observation instrument can be used to assess progress in relation to achieving important aspects of movement in each service. Methods: Construction of the validity and reliability of this observation instrument is carried out in four phases. The first phase is the study of literature that specifically review the construction of observation instruments. The second stage, the instrument construction was established. The third stage, the validity coefficient of the instrument's content is determined by Aiken V and 9 experts with qualifications, level of understanding, conformity of words, and relevance of the statement, etc. (with a rating scale of 1-4). The internal validation of the instrument is calculated and applied by 18 athletes, quantitatively tested using the product moment correlation. The fourth stage, the reliability of the instrument is calculated using Cronbach's Alpha reliability test. Results: The result of this study indicates that the instrument has optimal value of content and internal validity. In addition, the instrument also has a high reliability value. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used in similar circumstances. More than that, these instruments can be considered measuring instruments to be utilized by the trainer, the teacher as an assessment of the ability of top service techniques

Abstract

Uji paired sampel t-test merupakan salah satu metode pengujian yang digunakan untuk mengkaji keefektifan perlakuan yang ditandai dengan adanya perbedaan rata-rata sebelum dan rata-rata sesudah yang telah diberikan perlakuan. Tujuan dari artikel review ini adalah untuk mendiskusikan tentang penerapan metode paired t-test dalam penelitian farmasi. Penelitian farmasi sering kali melibatkan perbandingan hasil sebelum dan setelah intervensi pada kelompok pasien atau percobaan laboratorium. Metode uji paired t-test di susun menggunakan beberapa literatur riview jurnal di bidang ke farmasian yang relevan menggunakan metode uji paired t- test. Rentang waktu yang digunakan adalah 2016 - 2022 atau enam tahun terakhir. Pencarian jurnal ini menggunakan platform seperti google scholar, simetic scholar dengan beberapa kata kunci yaitu: paired t- test, uji paired t- test di bidang kefarmasian. Hasil yang di dapat pada artikel riview paired t- test ini ialah, untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan pada kelompok intervensi (p = 0,000) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol dan dapat mengetahui sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan suatu penelitian dengan perbedaan yang bermakna. Kesimpulan yang di dapat dari artikel riview uji paired t- test adalah secara signifikan yaitu mempengaruhi atau mengalami perubahan yang signifikan.

Abstract

The need for electricity in Indonesia becoming increasingly part of people's needs. Fossil fuels such as oil and coal used as the main material for producing electrical energy the more limited availability, especially in its use of fossil fuels that pollute the environment. Wind energy is a renewable energy source that could potentially be developed. Wind energy is clean and does not pollute the environment in utilization into mechanical or electrical energy. The conversion of wind energy into electrical energy by converting this energy into mechanical rotation. In the wind energy utilization process made a tool to convert wind energy into electrical energy, that is wind turbines.Wind turbine or windmill is a tool for converting wind energy. Wind turbines transform kinetic energy into mechanical energy in the form of a round shaft. Shaft speed is then used to rotate the dynamo or a generator which produces electricity. The research was carried out on a horizontal axis wind turbine NACA 4412, diameter 1 m, the number of blades 3 pieces and variations in wind speed 2-8 m / s. Results showed the greatest lift (CL) at 14o angle of attack with a value of 1.583. The driving force of the smallest (CD) at an angle of attack -4o to 2o with a value of 0.008. Value CL / CD was found in the angle of attack of 6o with a value of 93.057. The maximum power generated by 484.63 Watt. Wind speed, the number of blades, angle of attack and the election of the airfoil effect on the generated power.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) adalah penyakit sendi yang umum terjadi pada populasi dewasa dan sering kali menyebabkan nyeri, kekakuan, dan penurunan fungsi fisik. Terapi latihan telah menjadi pendekatan yang penting dalam pengelolaan pasien OA, dengan banyak penelitian yang menunjukkan manfaatnya dalam mengurangi gejala dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menyajikan dan menganalisis manfaat terapi latihan pada pasien OA. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah tinjauan literatur terhadap penelitian yang relevan tentang terapi latihan pada pasien OA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi latihan dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam mengurangi nyeri, meningkatkan kekuatan otot, meningkatkan fleksibilitas, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien OA. Terapi latihan yang direkomendasikan untuk pasien OA meliputi latihan aerobik, latihan kekuatan, dan latihan fleksibilitas. Latihan aerobik seperti berjalan, bersepeda, atau berenang dapat meningkatkan kondisi kardiorespirasi dan mengurangi berat badan, yang dapat mengurangi tekanan pada sendi yang terkena OA. Latihan kekuatan seperti angkat beban atau latihan dengan berat tubuh dapat memperkuat otot-otot di sekitar sendi dan meningkatkan stabilitas sendi. Latihan fleksibilitas seperti peregangan dapat meningkatkan rentang gerak sendi dan mengurangi kekakuan. Selain manfaat fisik, terapi latihan juga dapat memberikan manfaat psikologis bagi pasien OA. Latihan fisik dapat meningkatkan mood, mengurangi stres, dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur pasien. Dalam hasil yang didapatkan, terapi latihan merupakan pendekatan yang efektif dalam pengelolaan pasien OA. Dengan melibatkan pasien dalam program terapi latihan yang tepat, mereka dapat mengalami peningkatan nyata dalam mengurangi nyeri, meningkatkan kekuatan dan fleksibilitas, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka. Oleh karena itu, terapi latihan harus menjadi komponen penting dalam perawatan pasien OA.

Abstract

Sports injuries are injuries that occur during training, competition or after exercise. Sports injuries occur due to the inability of tissues (muscles, joints, tendons, skin) and other organs to receive training loads during exercise. Factors that influence the occurrence of injuries, namely individual conditions (age, gender, character, experience, warm-up, posture abnormalities), sports facilities (shape and size of equipment), sports characteristics (type of sport), physical environment (temperature and humidity). If not treated immediately, it can cause cerebral vascular disorders (heat stroke) and immediately do an examination if you experience an injury during exercise, so that you can get fast and proper treatment. On this occasion, lecturers from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Anwar Medika University (UAM) Sidoarjo held counseling activities for vocational students in the Krian Sidoarjo sub-district area. The purpose of this counseling is expected so that later SMK students can play an active role in conveying and implementing the knowledge in this activity to help the community around their place of residence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas terapi asana Kobra dan Cat-Cow dalam mengurangi nyeri punggung bawah miogenik. Studi klinis acak terkontrol melibatkan 60 individu dengan LBP miogenik, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi dan kontrol. Kelompok intervensi menerima terapi asana Kobra dan Cat-Cow 3 kali seminggu selama 8 minggu, sementara kelompok kontrol hanya menerima perawatan standar. Pengukuran intensitas nyeri dilakukan menggunakan Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Hasil analisis menunjukkan penurunan signifikan dalam intensitas nyeri pada kelompok intervensi (penurunan sebesar 43,4%) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (penurunan sebesar 11,4%). Temuan ini mendukung bahwa terapi asana Kobra dan Cat-Cow efektif dalam mengelola nyeri punggung bawah miogenik, serta menunjukkan potensi yoga sebagai terapi non-farmakologi yang aman dan efektif.KOBRA AND CAT-COW ASANA THERAPY: A SOLUTION FOR MYOGENIC LOWER BACK PAINAbstract:This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy in reducing myogenic lower back pain. A randomized controlled clinical trial involved 60 individuals with myogenic LBP, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy three times a week for 8 weeks, while the control group received standard care only. The intensity of pain was measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). The analysis results showed a significant decrease in pain intensity in the intervention group (a decrease of 43.4%) compared to the control group (a decrease of 11.4%). These findings support that Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy are effective in managing myogenic lower back pain and indicate the potential of yoga as a safe and effective non-pharmacological therapy.
