Abstract

AND CAT-COW ASANA THERAPY: A SOLUTION FOR MYOGENIC LOWER BACK PAINAbstract:This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy in reducing myogenic lower back pain. A randomized controlled clinical trial involved 60 individuals with myogenic LBP, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy three times a week for 8 weeks, while the control group received standard care only. The intensity of pain was measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). The analysis results showed a significant decrease in pain intensity in the intervention group (a decrease of 43.4%) compared to the control group (a decrease of 11.4%). These findings support that Kobra and Cat-Cow asana therapy are effective in managing myogenic lower back pain and indicate the potential of yoga as a safe and effective non-pharmacological therapy.
