Abstract

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based film polymers that contain trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and methylene blue (MB) dye has been synthesized. The synthesis aimed to obtain material that can be applied as film dosimeter. Six PVA-TCA-MB thin film samples have been synthsized by varying PVA grades and TCA composition. Characterization of optical property of the resulted polymer was undertaken by measuring samples absorption within wavelength range of 200 nm to 700 nm.  Absorption spectrum of samples showed an optimum between 547-644 nm that corresponds to purple colour and characteristic to MB absoption. Further analysis showed the influence of TCA concentration and storage periode of the polymer. Optimization of syntesis by evaluating synthesis condition, heating and storage time is yet to be done in order to obtain polymer that can be used as dosimeter with reproducible optical property.

Abstract

Abstract – This study aimed to find out the effect of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) LKPD aided in the ability to think creatively physics learners in SMAN 3 Mataram. Type of research used quasi-experiment with non-equivalent research design or untreated control group design with pre-test and post-tes. The population of all students of class XI MIA SMAN 3 Mataram, amounting to 349 people. Sampling research using purposive sampling technique, so selected XI class MIA 3 as experimental class and XI MIA 4 as a control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of cooperative learning model of NHT type supported by LKPD and control class was given treatment in the form of direct teaching model. The data collection of creative thinking ability is done by the form of a description test as many as 10 questions consisting of 7 questions of verbal creativity and 3 figural creativity questions. Creativity data was analyzed by using t-test polled variance at 5% significant level with degrees of freedom 73. The results of research on the influence of cooperative learning model type NHT assisted LKPD on the ability of creative thinking physics learners obtained tcontinue > t(0,05;73) = 3,63 > 2,00. Based on the results of this analysis can be concluded that cooperative learning model type NHT aided LKPD effect on the ability of creative thinking physics learners in SMAN 3 Mataram.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the influence of Problem-Based Learning Models assisted with Simulation Based Laboratory (SBL) on students’ physics learning outcome in class XI IPA of SMAN 1 Montong Gading academic year 2015/2016. The material used in the research is momentum and impulses. The type of the research is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population which is used in this research are the whole students of class XI IPA of SMAN 1 Montong Gading which decided by purposive sampling technique. C lass XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. The result of study was analized using t-test polled varians. Based on the research outcome, it can be concluded that Problem-Based Learning Models Assisted with Simulation Based Laboratory (SBL) influenced students` physics learning outcome.

Abstract

This class action research aims to enhance the learning outcomes of the 6th graders of SD Negeri 6 Mataram in their science lesson by corporating Science KIT in teaching and learning activities inside the classroom. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each of which included 4 different steps, namely, Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. After the research, it is shown that the average learning outcomes and classical completeness for the first cycle are 84,7 and 84%, while the average learning outcomes and classical completeness for the second cycle are 88,4 and 94% respectively. This thus shows an improvement in the students’ learning outcomes, especially related to electrical and thermal energy. This conclusion is drawn after looking at the fact that 94% of the students score more than 75 in the test. This result is only obtained after the science KIT has already been applied in Science Lesson inside the classroom.

Abstract

Teaching is a teacher’s daily job. Nevertheless, it turns out that teaching students about how they should study is not easy. This research is included as Research and Development—also known as RnD—which aims to give an actual example of how to teach and to embed submarine concept in a simple way through Curriculum 2013. The result of the research, which is a student-oriented learning design which in turn is an implementation of scientific approach, is the output resulted from a long term study, development and experience obtained by the writer team through teaching and training a number of supervisors, school principals, and teachers in various areas of Indonesia. The responses for this teaching model obtained from the teachers have been very positive, whereby 95% teachers claimed that they are very interested in the design, and only 5% claimed that they are mildly interested. This thus indicates that this teaching model can become a model to be referred to in teaching using scientific approach in Curriculum 2013.

Abstract

Inquiry-Creative-Process (ICP) merupakan model pembelajaran yang diatribusi oleh proses kreativitas ilmiah di dalam pengajaran inkuiri yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Pada tahap implementasinya di lapangan perlu diukur keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model ini agar dapat dinyatakan praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kepraktisan model pembelajaran ICP pada tahap implementasinya di dalam kelas yang terukur dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran (learning feasibility). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek implementasi model, yaitu 21 mahasiswa calon guru fisika di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Mataram. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diobservasi oleh 2 (dua) orang observer menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan dalam 4 (empat) pertemuan menggunakan model pembelajaran ICP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran rata-rata sebesar 4.25 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap implementasinya model ICP dinyatakan praktis untuk tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa

Abstract

Abstract: Gunung Samalas yang kini disebut dengan Gunung Rinjani adalah gunung api dengan letusan terbesar sepanjang sejarah ummat manusia dari zaman Nabi Ibrahim hingga kini. Penemuan ini didasarkan pada cerita sejarah bencana kelaparan yang melanda hampir separuh belahan dunia dari sekitar Pasifik hingga ujung barat benua Eropa. Letusan gunung besar gunung samalas sebelumnya terjadi sekitar 2500 tahun yang lalu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap letusan besar yang pernah terjadi di Gunung Samalas berdasarkan stratigrafi endapan vulkanik di daerah Gangga, Lombok Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat letusan besar yang terjadi sebelum 2500 tahun yang lalu, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 3 letusan besar yang telah terjadi pada Gunung Samalas. Penelitian awal ini masih memerlukan dukungan dari data dari tempat lain dan data hasil dating dari lapisan pumice yang diduga sebagai hasil letusan paling awal. Keywords: Letusan Samalas; Endapan Vulkanik; Lombok.

Abstract

This article was made to find out the relationship between Al-Quran and science, especially the concept of the universe. This research was conducted to determine the concept of the universe in view of the Al-Qur'an and science. This research is a library research using the thematic interpretation method, which collects readings that talk about the five human senses, determine the topic and conduct analysis with tahlili interpretation, and draw conclusions. The result is that all the concepts of the universe discovered by scientists were written and delivered by the Prophet Muhammad 1400 years ago in the holy book of Al-Quran. Al-Quran is always more advanced than science, but Al-Quran is not a science textbook, but Al-Quran is a guide for humanity in navigating the three dimensions of life, namely the dimensions of mortal, barzakh and the hereafter. Keywords: Al-Quran; Science; Universe

Abstract

Untuk mengurangi resiko bencana di Indonesia perlu dilakukan strategi yang efektif dan terpadu. Salah satu metode yang paling efektif adalah dengan membentuk sekolah aman bencana. Telah dilakukan simulasi bencana di SMKN 1 Kuripan sebagai bentuk edukasi agar dapat meminimalisir korban ketika bencana terjadi. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan simulasi yang dibantu oleh Tim BPBD Provinsi NTB, Pramuka, dan PMI. Kegiatan pengabdian berjalan sukses dan diakhir kegiatan terbentuk Tim Siaga Sekolah. Kata kunci: Sekolah aman bencana, BPBD, simulasi

Abstract

South Pringgasela is one of the villages in the Pringgasela, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. South Pringgasela Village is one of 10 villages and sub-districts in the Pringgasela sub-district. South Pringgasela village has a lot of forage, namely elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) and drast elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum CV. Mott). The people of South Pringgasela mostly work as farmers and planters. Farmers in the village of South Pringgasela still use the traditional method. Therefore we provide training in the manufacture of fermented feed in the form of silage. Silage is animal feed that has a high water content, processed through a fermentation process with the help of micro-organisms. The process is carried out under anaerobic conditions or without oxygen, either with the addition of or without the addition of preservatives. With this silage making training, it aims to introduce livestock technology to farmers in South Pringgasela village, especially in the Kedondong area. Keywords: Silage, Pennisetum purpureum CV.
