Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: In order to achieve target 1.1 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), i.e., to end extreme poverty by 2030, the Indonesian Government encourages the distribution of social assistance as one of the main programs. Background Problems: There are several issues related to the distribution of social assistance that impact the effectiveness of this program. This study aims to investigate the challenges and evaluate possible solutions for the effectiveness of social assistance distribution. Novelty: This study proposes alternative solutions to improve the effectiveness of social assistance distribution in Indonesia. Research Methods: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and SOAR analysis (strengths, opportunities, aspirations, and results). The data have been obtained from a literature review and focus group discussions. Finding/Results: The results of the analysis identify three problems, namely (i) inaccuracy of the target beneficiary data, (ii) absence of formed cooperative between stakeholders in the distribution process, and (iii) the amount of cash in the social assistance has not been able to meet the cost of living in several regions in Indonesia. Solutions that can be used to overcome these problems are (1) updating the data and improving the accuracy of targeting of social assistance, (2) strengthening the synergy of the social assistance program organized by government, (3) an adjustment, carried out by local governments, of the value of social assistance benefits, and (4) strengthening the supervision of the social assistance distribution process. Conclusion: The alternative solutions above are "tactical" approaches that need to be employed by the government to increase the effectiveness of social assistance distribution to alleviate extreme poverty.

Abstract

Road damage is a problem caused by various factors, including excessive repetitive traffic loads, temperature and rainfall effects, and poor initial construction quality. Roads that are not properly designed and maintained will experience a decline in both structural and functional quality, resulting in reduced service performance for users. The impacts of road damage include traffic flow disruption, decreased comfort, and increased safety risks. The condition and type of vehicles passing over the road also significantly affect the pavement design and structural durability. A study on the road section in Lasada Village, Unaaha District, shows that the increased traffic volume on the regency road connecting Tuoy Village and Ambekaeri Village has led to various types of damage, such as cracking and potholes. With an approximate length of 1 km, width of 7.2 m, and pavement thickness of 15 cm, this road has experienced a reduction in load-bearing capacity due to unmet construction standards. Consequently, the level of service and comfort for road users has decreased significantly.

Abstract

Application of technologtj in economic development of a nation spread across various eronomic sectors, including transportation and communication sector. In Indonesia, the progress achieved bytransportation and communication sector-especially in terms of value added grawth- over the lastthree decades can not be separated from the role of technological progress in this sector. By using t.otalfactor productivihj (TFP) approach as a indicator for the role of technological progress, this papertries to calculate and analyze how much the role of technological progress in the grawth of transportationand communication sector. Calculation method used is growth accounting method whichapplied to the Cobb-Douglas production function. The calculations shaw that during the period1977-2007 transportation and communication sector achieved grawth rate m;erage 7.77% per year, where 2.29% of which came from the contribution of technological progress (TFPG). The role of thistechnology is greater than the role of labor grawth (1.85%), but slightly belaw the role of capitalgrowth (3.63%). These results imply that the development of technology in transportation andcommunication sector must be increased again in the coming years in order t.o encourage the growthof transportation and communication sect.or higher. Keywords : Tecknologi, Transportataion and Komunication, Total Factor ProductivihJ

Abstract

The growing population and increasing demand for space have made spatial planning a critical component of sustainable development. In a campus environment, efficient spatial organization supports both academic and social functions. With Lakidende University experiencing a rise in student numbers, strategic space utilization has become essential. This study analyzes the spatial development direction of Lakidende University based on building coefficient, accessibility, and building functions. A qualitative approach with a quantitative descriptive design was applied. Data were collected through field observations, documentation, and document review. Key variables included the building coverage ratio (minimum 30%), accessibility, and functional use of buildings. The analysis compared existing campus conditions with relevant spatial regulations. Tools such as ArcGIS and SketchUp supported site planning analysis. The findings indicate that Lakidende University, spanning 30,000 m², has 27,197.16 m² of non-buildable land (8.1%), while the current building coefficient reaches the minimum threshold of 30%. The available development area is 8,159.15 m². Based on the number of students, lecturers, and staff in 2023, projected spatial needs for new faculty buildings, a library, canteens, parking, and open areas amount to 5,964.5 m². This remains within the allowable development area. The results demonstrate adequate space for future expansion. This research offers fresh insight into campus spatial planning at Lakidende University, addressing previously unexamined gaps. By evaluating land use coefficients, accessibility, and spatial functions, the study presents practical strategies for efficient space management to support long-term institutional growth and sustainability.
