Abstract

Coconut fruit holds high economic value as it can be utilized for various products and significantly contributes to the local economy. This research aims to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map land area and coconut production in Kendal Regency in 2023 as a foundation for more efficient resource management. By integrating spatial and non-spatial data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), this GIS visualizes the spatial distribution of coconut plantations and identifies production variations among sub-districts. The analysis reveals that Patebon Sub-district has the highest coconut production, while Cepiring Sub-district, despite having the largest land area, records relatively low production. Mapping was conducted using Quantum GIS (QGIS) software, allowing for accurate and efficient data digitization. This GIS output holds significant potential to support spatial planning, data-driven policy formulation, and the improvement of coconut farmers' welfare in Kendal Regency. The implementation of the map on a web-based platform facilitates public access to the presented spatial information.

Abstract

Abstrak Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan LMDH Wana Bhakti di Desa Sumanding melalui implementasi teknologi tepat guna dan peningkatan kapasitas. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan participatory empowerment melalui pelatihan branding dan digital marketing, diseminasi teknologi (mesin pengupas kopi, mesin sortir, dan mesin bor biopori), serta pendampingan berkelanjutan. Program berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas mitra secara signifikan. Implementasi mesin pengupas dan sortir kopi meningkatkan efisiensi waktu pengolahan, menghasilkan produk berkualitas standar, dan memberikan tambahan pendapatan dari jasa sortir. Pelatihan pemasaran digital berhasil membangun identitas merek dan membuka akses pemasaran yang lebih luas. Selain itu, tercipta 2.500 lubang biopori yang berkontribusi terhadap konservasi air dan tanah pada lahan seluas 2 hektar. Program pengabdian ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan produktivitas, nilai tambah produk, dan pendapatan mitra. Keberlanjutan program memerlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan, ekspansi penerapan biopori, dan pengembangan kemitraan untuk memperkuat kapasitas kelembagaan dan akses pasar LMDH Wana Bhakti. Kata kunci: Teknologi Tepat Guna, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Konservasi Lahan   Abstract This community service program aims to empower the Wana Bhakti Community-Based Farmers (LMDH) in Sumanding Village through the implementation of appropriate technology and capacity building. The methods used include a participatory empowerment approach through branding and digital marketing training, technology dissemination (coffee hulling machines, sorting machines, and biopore drilling machines), and ongoing mentoring. The program significantly increased the capacity of partners. The implementation of the coffee hulling and sorting machines increased processing efficiency, produced standard-quality products, and provided additional income from sorting services. The digital marketing training successfully built brand identity and opened broader marketing access. Furthermore, 2,500 biopore holes were created, contributing to water and soil conservation on a 2-hectare plot of land. This community service program has proven effective in increasing productivity, product added value, and partner income. The sustainability of the program requires ongoing mentoring, expanded biopore implementation, and partnership development to strengthen the institutional capacity and market access of the Wana Bhakti LMDH. Abstract

Kriminalitas adalah masalah umum yang dihadapi oleh semua daerah. Banyak kejahatan terjadi pada waktu dan lokasi yang berbeda, sehingga sulit untuk menentukan wilayah mana yang berisiko tinggi terjadinya kejahatan. Kejahatan bukan hanya tanggung jawab polisi saja, tapi semua kalangan masyarakat. Dengan memetakan daerah rawan kriminal, kita dapat memahami di mana saja suatu kejahatan sering terjadi. Artikel ini membahas tentang pembuatan website Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) tindak kriminal di Jawa Tengah selama tahun 2019 hingga 2021. Setiap tindakan kriminal yang bersifat umum ditampilkan di kota atau kabupaten daerah tersebut. Dengan menggunakan data dari BPS Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Polres setempat, penelitian ini mencoba untuk memahami pola dan tren tindak kriminal di wilayah tersebut. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat membantu pihak berwenang dalam merencanakan dan mengimplementasikan strategi pencegahan dan penanggulangan kejahatan yang lebih efektif. Penggunaan teknologi seperti gawai dan komputer memudahkan masyarakat untuk mencari informasi apapun dengan sangat cepat termasuk mencari info geografis tindak kriminal. Selain itu, sistem ini juga dapat menjadi alat yang berguna bagi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mereka tentang keamanan lingkungan mereka. Dengan memiliki akses ke informasi ini, masyarakat dapat membuat keputusan yang lebih baik tentang keamanan pribadi dan komunitas mereka. Selain itu, sistem ini juga dapat membantu pemerintah dan organisasi non-pemerintah dalam mengalokasikan sumber daya dengan lebih efisien untuk mencegah dan menanggulangi kejahatan. Dengan demikian, sistem ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat informasi, tetapi juga sebagai alat pencegahan dan penanggulangan kejahatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengeksplorasi upaya pemerintah Jawa Tengah terhadap kemiskinan. Kemiskinan di Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2020 sampai 2022 masih sangat banyak, dalam hal ini pemerintah seharusnya dapat membuat Upaya baru dalam menghadapi kemiskinan tersebut. Analisis dampak menunjukkan adanya peningkatan akses masyarakat terhadap layanan kesehatan dan pendidikan, namun juga menyoroti perlunya peningkatan koordinasi antarinstansi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas program-program penanggulangan kemiskinan..Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap angka kemiskinan. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), tingkat kemiskinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendidikan (angka putus sekolah), ekonomi (angka pengangguran), lokasi (jarak tempat tinggal ke pusat kota), dan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM). Dengan menyoroti variabel ini, penelitian ini memberikan landasan untuk rekomendasi kebijakan. Pemerintah perlu fokus pada peningkatan akses pendidikan, menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru untuk mengurangi pengangguran, serta mengevaluasi distribusi sumber daya dan pembangunan di wilayah Jawa Tengah. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan seperti ketidakmerataan distribusi program dan ketidaksesuaian antara kebijakan dengan kebutuhan riil masyarakat..Dengan demikian, upaya pemerintah dapat lebih terarah dan efektif dalam mengatasi permasalahan kemiskinan yang masih menjadi tantangan serius di daerah ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pemahaman tentang kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengatasi kemiskinan di tingkat lokal, dengan memberikan rekomendasi untuk perbaikan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Kemiskinan merupakan permasalahan sosial yang masih menjadi perhatian dalam pembangunan daerah, khususnya di Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang memiliki kondisi sosial ekonomi dan karakteristik wilayah yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan dan menganalisis perubahan tingkat kemiskinan kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada periode 2021–2025 berbasis Web Geographic Information System (Web GIS). Data penelitian bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) yang meliputi jumlah penduduk, jumlah penduduk miskin, persentase penduduk miskin, Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT), dan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM). Data spasial berupa peta administrasi kabupaten/kota diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak QGIS dengan mengintegrasikan data atribut dan spasial untuk menghasilkan peta tematik tahunan. Peta kemudian diekspor menggunakan plugin qgis2web dan dikembangkan menjadi sebuah website yang menampilkan peta interaktif serta analisis perubahan tingkat kemiskinan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dan dinamika tingkat kemiskinan antar wilayah. Web GIS yang dihasilkan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pendukung analisis dan pengambilan keputusan pembangunan daerah.

Abstract

Flooding is one of the most recurrent natural disasters in Central Java Province, particularly during the rainy season. Diverse geographical characteristics, high rainfall intensity, and rapid urban development contribute to the region’s high vulnerability to flood hazards. According to the Central Java Statistics Agency, a total of 414 flood events and 407,784 affected victims were recorded between 2019 and 2021. This study aims to develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) capable of mapping the spatial distribution and impact levels of floods across Central Java. The methodology includes collecting flood event data from the Central Java Statistics Agency, processing spatial data such as administrative boundary shapefiles, performing attribute integration between spatial and non-spatial datasets, and creating thematic maps using QGIS. The visualization outputs were exported into an interactive web format using the qgis2web plugin and subsequently integrated into a website developed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The results show that the GIS system successfully visualizes flood-prone areas, identifies regions with high flood intensity, and enables users to explore detailed information through interactive digital maps. Additional website features—such as historical flood data, statistical summaries, and descriptive impact indicators—enhance the system's usefulness for disaster analysis. This study demonstrates the crucial role of GIS in supporting disaster mitigation, spatial planning, and policy evaluation related to flood management. Future research is recommended to incorporate more recent datasets and additional non-spatial variables such as rainfall intensity and floodwater depth to improve the system’s analytical accuracy and comprehensiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a population distribution application in Demak Regency in 2025 using a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The study focuses on three main variables: population, population density, and population growth rate per sub-district. The author used the research method of collecting data and references that can later strengthen the results of this study and the application design using the waterfall model. Non-spatial data, namely data in the form of population information, was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Demak Regency, while spatial data is data related to regional administrative boundaries. Data processing was carried out using QGIS 2.18 through the stages of joining attributes, classification using the Natural Breaks (Jenks) method, and thematic map creation. The results show that population distribution is uneven. Demak Kota, Karangtengah, and Sayung sub-districts have the highest number and density, while coastal sub-districts such as Wedung and Bonang have low densities. The highest population growth rate is in Karangtengah sub-district at 0.8%. The application of GIS has proven effective in visualizing population distribution and supporting spatial-based regional development planning.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are one of the rapidly growing Islamic educational institutions in Kendal Regency. This study aims to analyze how Islamic boarding schools are distributed in Kendal Regency from 2023 to 2024 using a Geographic Information System (GIS). This study uses a comparative descriptive method with data consisting of spatial data in the form of sub-district administrative maps and non-spatial data covering the number of Islamic boarding schools, students, and teachers. The non-spatial data comes from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Kendal Regency. To process the data, the QGIS application is used. Spatial and non-spatial data are combined in the attribute merging process, then converted into a thematic map. The results show a decrease in the number of Islamic boarding schools from 147 in 2023 to 118 in 2024, as well as an uneven decrease in the number of students and teachers in each sub-district. The resulting thematic map is able to clearly and informatively show differences in the distribution of Islamic boarding schools.
