Abstract

Ubi jalar kaya akan pati, betakaroten dan antosianin yang baik untuk kesehatan dan umumnya digunakan sebagai makanan pengganti beras. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menduga keragaan dan keragaman genetik karakter komponen hasil dan hasil 8 klon ubi jalar lokal Papua asal Kabupaten Jayapura. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama ± 5 bulan dari bulan Maret 2020 sampai dengan Agustus 2020, di Kebun Percobaan Manggoapi Faperta Universitas Papua Manokwari. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 8 klon ubi jalar lokal Papua asal Jayapura yaitu Koya 1, Koya 2, Koya 3, Koya 4, Koya 5, Koya 6, Koya 7 dan Koya 8. Analisis data terdiri dari analisis ragam, ragam genetik (σ2g), ragam fenotipe (σ2f), heritabilitas (h2), koefisien keragaman genetik (KKG), koefisien keragaman fenotipe (KKF) dan kemajuan genetik harapan (KGH), analisis komponen utama, analisis klaster, analisis biplot dan analisis korelasi fenotipik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa genotipe yang diuji menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata pada karakter diameter ubi, Jumlah ubi pertanaman, Bobot ubi pertanaman, Jumlah ubi ekonomi, Bobot ubi ekonomi, Jumlah ubi per petak dan Bobot ubi per petak. Karakter jumlah ubi ekonomi, bobot umbi ekonomi, jumlah ubi per petak dan bobot umbi per petak dapat digunakan sebagai kriteria seleksi. Terdapat keragaman genetik pada 8 genotipe lokal Papua asal Kabupaten Jayapura, dimana karakter jumlah umbi ekonomi berkontribusi terbesar terhadap keragaman yang ada. Terdapat korelasi fenotipe yang positif nyata antara karakter karakter panjang umbi, bobot umbi per tanaman dan jumlah umbi per guludan terhadap hasil.

Abstract

Modern harvesting tools have become essential in supporting agricultural modernization and strengthening food security in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach, interviewing five farmers to explore their experiences with adopting and utilizing these tools. The findings reveal that modern harvesting tools significantly reduce labor requirements, save time, and improve crop quality, directly benefiting farmers' productivity. However, the adoption process is hindered by financial constraints, limited technical knowledge, and maintenance challenges. The study highlights the need for government support in providing subsidies, affordable credit, and local technical training to ensure the sustainable use of modern tools. These findings underscore the transformative potential of modern agricultural technologies in achieving national food security goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan pestisida nabati terhadap pengendalian hama dan kualitas hasil pertanian sayuran organik melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya kebutuhan akan pertanian yang ramah lingkungan dan bebas dari residu kimia berbahaya. Pestisida nabati yang berasal dari ekstrak tanaman memiliki kandungan senyawa aktif alami seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, dan minyak atsiri yang mampu mengendalikan hama tanpa merusak ekosistem pertanian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis sejumlah artikel ilmiah yang relevan, yang dipublikasikan dalam jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pestisida nabati terbukti efektif dalam menekan populasi hama seperti ulat grayak, trips, kutu daun, dan serangga pengisap daun lainnya pada berbagai jenis sayuran organik, seperti sawi, bayam, buncis, kangkung, dan selada. Selain mengendalikan hama, pestisida nabati juga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas hasil panen yang ditandai dengan warna daun yang segar, bentuk yang seragam, dan rendahnya kandungan residu kimia. Keunggulan lain dari pestisida nabati adalah kemampuannya menjaga keberagaman serangga predator alami di lahan pertanian. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti kestabilan senyawa aktif dan durasi efektivitas di lapangan masih menjadi perhatian. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam merangkum efektivitas berbagai jenis pestisida nabati dan menguatkan argumen bahwa pendekatan alami dalam pertanian organik merupakan solusi berkelanjutan yang layak dikembangkan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the effects of Bokashi organic fertilizer dosage on rice plants' agronomic growth and productivity (Oryza sativa). Using 16 Scopus-indexed articles, the study synthesizes findings on how Bokashi impacts key agronomic parameters such as plant height, tiller number, biomass production, and grain yield. The review highlights that optimal dosages (5–10 tons/ha) consistently improve growth and yield outcomes compared to chemical fertilizers or untreated controls. Bokashi's nutrient-rich composition and ability to enhance soil health and microbial activity make it a sustainable alternative for rice cultivation. However, its effectiveness depends on soil type, environmental conditions, and rice variety. Challenges related to dosage standardization and large-scale implementation are identified, and recommendations for future research are provided. This review underscores the potential of Bokashi in promoting sustainable agriculture while reducing reliance on synthetic inputs.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis aimed at mapping the progress and direction of sustainable agriculture research in Indonesia. With a focus on addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges while ensuring food security and agricultural productivity, sustainable agriculture has emerged as a critical area of focus globally. In Indonesia, a country rich in agricultural diversity and natural resources, sustainable agricultural practices are paramount to mitigate the impact of climate change, preserve biodiversity, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities. Through systematic collection and analysis of relevant publications from academic databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar, this study identifies key thematic areas, trends, collaboration networks among researchers, and potential research gaps within sustainable agriculture research in Indonesia. The analysis spans from 1982 to 2023, covering a wide range of topics such as agroecology, organic farming, precision agriculture, and sustainable resource management. Results reveal a significant impact of Indonesian research contributions, highlighting collaborative efforts and interdisciplinary approaches towards addressing complex agricultural sustainability challenges. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to prioritize areas for further development, formulate evidence-based policies, and foster interdisciplinary partnerships in promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan telah menjadi fokus utama dalam upaya mengatasi tantangan global terkait kelestarian lingkungan dan ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini melakukan analisis bibliometrik terhadap literatur yang membahas standar sertifikasi pertanian organik dan dampaknya terhadap praktik pertanian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kata kunci seperti "praktik pertanian berkelanjutan," "petani," dan "dampak lingkungan" mendominasi literatur, menunjukkan pentingnya peran petani dan dampak lingkungan dalam praktik pertanian. Selain itu, inovasi teknologi seperti nanoteknologi semakin mendapatkan perhatian sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi sumber daya. Kajian ini menyoroti perlunya dukungan kebijakan dan akses teknologi yang lebih luas bagi petani, terutama di negara berkembang, untuk memastikan keberlanjutan jangka panjang dalam sektor pertanian. Kesimpulannya, pertanian berkelanjutan memerlukan pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan teknologi, kebijakan, dan praktik lokal.

Abstract

Background: Organic farming has become crucial amid various environmental issues, the decline of beneficial insects, and reliance on synthetic chemicals. The use of biopesticides is one environmentally friendly solution.Aims: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of biopesticides in controlling major pests in chili plants cultivated in Matoa Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency.Methods: This experiment used three treatments: control, conventional chemical pesticides, and biopesticides, repeated 5 times. Experiment was conducted from February to June 2024.Results: The results showed that biopesticides significantly reduced pest attacks, especially thrips and fruit borers, but there was no significant difference for aphids and whiteflies compared to chemical pesticide treatments. Although the initial knockdown effect of biopesticides is slower, their long-term stability in pest suppression proved beneficial. Yield analysis showed that biopesticide-treated fields produced higher fruit quality and marketable yields comparable to those from chemical treatments. Farmer perception surveys highlighted positive views regarding safety and sustainability.Conclusion: The findings suggest that biopesticides are a viable, environmentally friendly alternative for integrated pest management in tropical farming systems. Overall, this study provides empirical evidence on the potential role of biopesticides in supporting sustainable agriculture and food security in eastern Indonesia, offering both local relevance and broader applicability to similar agroecological contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Soybean (Glycine max L.) is a strategic food commodity in Indonesia; however, its productivity remains relatively low compared to the yield potential of superior varieties. One contributing factor is the efficiency of nutrient uptake by the plants. Eco-enzyme, a fermented organic waste product, has the potential to act as a bioactivator and biostimulant in supporting plant growth. This study aimed to investigate the effect of eco-enzyme application and determine the optimal application method for soybean growth and yield. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, from October 2025 to January 2026, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single factor comprising five treatments: 0 mL L⁻¹ (P0), 10 mL L⁻¹ via soil drenching (P1), 20 mL L⁻¹ via soil drenching (P2), 7 mL L⁻¹ drenching + 3 mL L⁻¹ foliar spray (P3), and 14 mL L⁻¹ drenching + 6 mL L⁻¹ foliar spray (P4). Observed parameters included plant growth rate, relative growth rate, leaf area index, net assimilation rate, harvest index, 100-seed weight, number of pods per plant, and yield per hectare. The results indicated that eco-enzyme application did not significantly affect growth parameters, harvest index, or the number of pods per plant. However, the eco-enzyme did influence 100-seed weight. The best treatment was the application of 20 mL L⁻¹ eco-enzyme via soil drenching (P2), which resulted in a 100-seed weight of 21.27 g.   Keywords: eco-enzyme, soybean, growth, yield, ultisol   ABSTRAK Kedelai (Glycine max L.) merupakan komoditas pangan strategis di Indonesia, namun produktivitasnya masih relatif rendah dibandingkan dengan potensi hasil varietas unggul. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah efisiensi serapan hara oleh tanaman kedelai. Ekoenzim  merupakan produk fermentasi limbah organik yang berpotensi berperan sebagai bioaktivator dan biostimulan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian ekoenzim  serta memperoleh paket aplikasi terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi pada Oktober 2025–Januari 2026 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu 0 mL L⁻¹  (P0), 10 mL L⁻¹ secara kocor (P1), 20 mL L⁻¹ secara kocor (P2), 7 mL L⁻¹ kocor + 3 mL L⁻¹ semprot (P3), dan 14 mL L⁻¹ kocor + 6 mL L⁻¹ semprot (P4). Parameter yang diamati meliputi laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju pertumbuhan relatif, indeks luas daun, laju asimilasi bersih, indeks panen, bobot 100 biji, jumlah polong per tanaman, dan hasil produksi per hektar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekoenzim  tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pertumbuhan, indeks panen, dan jumlah polong per tanaman. Namun, ekoenzim  berpengaruh terhadap bobot 100 biji. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada pemberian ekoenzim  20 mL L⁻¹ secara kocor (P2) dengan bobot 100 biji 21,27 g.   Kata kunci: ekoenzim, kedelai, pertumbuhan, hasil, ultisol
