Abstract

After understanding the research questions, we directed the search for data electronically to writing a collection of journal publications, books, and websites. We cannot conclude reports of untested, substantiated review findings on the use of innovations in agriculture without first attempting to analyze the various kinds of literature that incorporate, among other things, coding frameworks, in-depth assessments, and concluding. We carried out this study with a phenomenological approach, which is a methodology that seeks to obtain the most extensive data and then for us to study and gain understanding and become valid and convincing findings. The reason is that this review uses discretionary data from various sources. Subjective data whose sources of information we take from various data published between 2010 and 2021. We use the Google Search application to search for information using keywords such as digital applications, modern horticulture, innovation, and progress in compiling agribusiness. Based on these data, we can report that the use of trend-setting innovation applications in the agricultural sector is a consequence of innovations from both public authorities and the regions themselves, thus giving birth to new advances where agribusiness currently cannot be separated from electronics. This is an innovation that makes efficient use of services in the office

Abstract

Kerentanan Indonesia terhadap bencana alam diperparah oleh degradasi lingkungan, sehingga mendorong pelaksanaan program rehabilitasi lahan dan hutan untuk mengurangi risiko bencana. Studi ini mengevaluasi efektivitas program-program tersebut dalam memitigasi bencana di berbagai wilayah dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis komparatif. Data dari laporan program, wawancara, dan metrik lingkungan dikumpulkan dari beberapa inisiatif rehabilitasi terpilih di Jawa, Sumatera, Kalimantan, dan Sulawesi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan masyarakat, diversifikasi pendanaan, strategi teknis yang sesuai dengan konteks, dan kolaborasi antarlembaga secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil program, yang mengarah pada pengurangan frekuensi dan tingkat keparahan bencana yang terukur. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan pendanaan dan kendala pemeliharaan menghambat keberlanjutan program. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendekatan adaptif yang berpusat pada masyarakat di daerah rawan bencana dan memberikan rekomendasi yang dapat ditindaklanjuti untuk memperkuat ketahanan bencana di Indonesia melalui restorasi ekologi.

Abstract

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) has emerged as a sustainable alternative to conventional pest control methods, emphasizing the integration of biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical approaches. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of IPM research using data exclusively from the Scopus database and analyzed through VOSviewer. The findings reveal a significant increase in IPM-related publications over the past two decades, indicating growing global interest in sustainable pest management. Key research themes identified include pesticide reduction, biological control, policy frameworks, and technological advancements such as artificial intelligence for pest monitoring. The study also highlights the dominance of developed countries, particularly the United States, United Kingdom, and China, in IPM research, while collaboration between developed and developing nations remains limited. Major challenges to IPM adoption include economic constraints, lack of technical knowledge, and regulatory barriers. Future research should focus on enhancing global collaboration, improving accessibility to biopesticides and digital technologies, and strengthening farmer education and policy support. This study provides valuable insights into the evolution of IPM research and its role in promoting sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

This study explores the Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) strategy as a means to maintain biodiversity in Papua, Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews with five key informants, including community leaders, local government officials, conservation NGO representatives, and researchers. Data analysis was conducted using NVivo software. The findings reveal that community participation, underpinned by indigenous practices, plays a critical role in forest conservation and biodiversity preservation. However, challenges such as limited resources, ambiguous land tenure systems, and external pressures hinder the effectiveness of these strategies. The integration of modern technology, such as GIS, was identified as a potential enhancer of CBFM outcomes, though capacity-building remains essential. This study underscores the importance of collaborative approaches, policy reforms, and capacity development in strengthening community-based conservation initiatives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Plant disease control using biological agents such as Trichoderma spp., and groups of bacteria that are members of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria or PGPR is an organic farming method, which only uses ingredients that come from the surrounding environment. The purpose of implementing this PKM is to introduce farmers to an alternative control method that is safer for the environment, cheaper because it comes from their own residential environment so that it does not cost more but is effective in controlling plant pests or OPT. Another goal is that farmers can reduce the frequency of using non-organic pesticides in their daily cultivation systems. The delivery method is carried out in the mentoring method through the presentation of recipes, procedures and manufacturing techniques carried out at the Kwau Village Hall; while the training is carried out in farmers' gardens with the presentation of the parts of the sprayer used, how to mix organic pesticides, the dosage size used and the best spraying time. This training and mentoring received a warm welcome from the farming community which was marked by not only being attended by the farming community in Kwau but also by farmers from other villages around Kwau village such as Maybrij and Soubrij. Another thing that shows high enthusiasm is the curiosity about the material during the discussion and training in the farmer's garden. We hope that the material presented can add insight into the agrotourism cultivation system.  Keywords: Bamboo, Plant Pest Organisms, Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria, Kwau, Trichoderma spp   ABSTRAK  Pengendalian penyakit tanaman dengan menggunakan agensia hayati seperti Trichoderma spp., dan kelompok bakteri yang tergabung pada Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria atau PGPR merupakan cara bertani secara organik, yang hanya menggunakan bahan-bahan pembuat yang berasal dari alam sekitar. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM ini adalah memperkenalkan kepada petani suatu metode pengendalian alternatif yang lebih aman terhadap lingkungan, murah karena berasal dari lingkungan tempat tinggal sendiri sehingga tidak mengeluarkan biaya lebih tetapi efektif dalam mengendalikan Organisme pengganggu tumbuhan atau OPT. Tujuan lainnya lagi adalah petani dapat mengurangi frekuensi penggunaan pestisida non-organik dalam sistem budidaya sehari-hari. Metode penyampaian dilaksanakan dalam metode pendampingan melalui pemaparan resep, prosedur dan teknik pembuatan yang dilaksanakan di Balai Kampung Kwau; sedangkan pelatihan dilaksanakan di kebun milik petani dengan pemaparan bagian-bagian alat sprayer yang digunakan, cara pencampuran pestisida organik, ukuran dosis yang digunakan dan waktu penyemprotan terbaik. Pelatihan dan pendampingan ini mendapat sambutan yang meriah dari masyarakat petani yang ditandai oleh bukan hanya dihadiri oleh masyarakat petani di Kwau juga dihadiri oleh petani yang berasal dari kampung lainnya di sekitar kampung Kwau seperti Maybrij dan Soubrij. Hal lainnya yang menunjukkan animo yang tinggi adalah keingintahuan terhadap materi pada saat diskusi dan pelatihan di kebun petani dilakukan. Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of smart agricultural technologies to improve resource efficiency in the agro-industry, using a quantitative approach with a focus on Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. A survey of 250 agro-industry stakeholders produced descriptive statistics showing a high mean adoption score (4.2) and a significant frequency of adoption (75%). Resource efficiency indicators, including average water use (32.5 gallons per hectare), average energy consumption (15.8 kWh per hectare), and average crop yield (2,800 kg per hectare), were also assessed. The SEM-PLS results showed strong reliability and validity of the measurement model, with positive path coefficients indicating substantial impacts of smart technology adoption on water use efficiency, energy consumption optimization, and crop yield. The model showed a satisfactory fit, and bootstrapping confirmed the robustness of the relationships. The discussion highlights practical implications for farmers, policymakers, and technology providers, emphasizing the potential for increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved yields through the adoption of smart technologies. This study contributes valuable insights to the discourse of sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract

This research investigates the intricate relationships between Mangrove Ecosystems, the Number of Plants within these ecosystems, and their collective impact on Air Pollution Reduction. Employing a structural equation model, the study explores the quantitative dynamics across diverse mangrove ecosystems globally. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between Mangrove Ecosystems and Air Pollution Reduction, emphasizing the pivotal role of mangroves as biofilters. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of vegetation density, with a higher Number of Plants correlating with a meaningful reduction in air pollution. The global implications underscore the applicability of mangrove-mediated air pollution reduction across diverse geographical contexts. The results provide valuable insights for policymakers, environmental managers, and conservationists, advocating for the conservation and restoration of mangrove habitats as an effective and sustainable strategy for mitigating the adverse effects of air pollution.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis aimed at mapping the progress and direction of sustainable agriculture research in Indonesia. With a focus on addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges while ensuring food security and agricultural productivity, sustainable agriculture has emerged as a critical area of focus globally. In Indonesia, a country rich in agricultural diversity and natural resources, sustainable agricultural practices are paramount to mitigate the impact of climate change, preserve biodiversity, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities. Through systematic collection and analysis of relevant publications from academic databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar, this study identifies key thematic areas, trends, collaboration networks among researchers, and potential research gaps within sustainable agriculture research in Indonesia. The analysis spans from 1982 to 2023, covering a wide range of topics such as agroecology, organic farming, precision agriculture, and sustainable resource management. Results reveal a significant impact of Indonesian research contributions, highlighting collaborative efforts and interdisciplinary approaches towards addressing complex agricultural sustainability challenges. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to prioritize areas for further development, formulate evidence-based policies, and foster interdisciplinary partnerships in promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract Agriculture is an important sector for Indonesia. Because around 30% of the population works in the agricultural industry. Currently, agricultural conditions in Indonesia are facing challenges due to climate anomalies. Unpredictable climate changes, shorter growing seasons, an increase in pests and diseases and these conditions have an impact on increasing production costs while yields are not optimal. Climate change is one of the obstacles in increasing plant productivity. The negative impacts of extreme global climate change include the degradation of land and water resources, damage to agricultural and irrigation infrastructure, the emergence of floods and droughts, and increased attacks by pests and plant diseases. Therefore, farmers need knowledge and farming skills that are adaptive to climate change or what is known as Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA). Climate Smart Agriculture is a useful approach to guide the actions needed to transform and reorient agricultural systems to effectively support development and ensure food security in conditions of climate change. CSA technology focuses on climate resilience and food security with the main objectives being: 1.) Increasing agricultural productivity and income in a sustainable manner, 2.) Adapting and building food security to climate change, 3.) Reducing and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions (Mitigation), 4.) Optimizing the use of various resources. So it is hoped that optimal results will be obtained in the agricultural sector. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The researchers use research data in the form of secondary data obtained from a number of credible sources such as scientific articles, books and a number of other sources that are credible and commonly used in research. These data were analyzed using analytical tools with stages of data collection, data selection, data reduction and drawing conclusions.
