Abstract

Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) noted that the stock of blood in Indonesia reached 87,238 bags as of June 14, 2022, where it should be estimated that Indonesia needs 5.1 million bags of blood every year. The conventional blood donor process procedure is one of the main reasons the younger generation does not intend to donate blood. A new system is needed to regulate the flow of the blood donation process so that it is faster and attracts the interest of young people to donate blood. This research resulted in a blood donation system in the form of a website application for each blood donor unit and a mobile application for users who are blood donors. The system was developed with the Agile method which makes it easy for researchers to adapt to the evolving needs of users. The system usability test is based on Nielsen's Criteria which includes 5 main aspects, including learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors and satisfaction. The results of the trial on the targeted respondents showed that almost all of them were interested in using and would routinely donate blood with the new system that had been built, because it was considered to simplify the blood donation procedure which was previously considered complicated. In addition, data between blood donor units can be well integrated with the system that has been built. In the end, this research has the main goal of changing people's habits, especially young people to continue to regularly donate blood, not only is it good for health, but also can help others in need.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the company's liquidity, profitability, and solvency ratios on company value and company size is used as a control variable. Using the Purposive Sampling method with a total sample of 184 business entities in the consumer goods industry sector in Indonesia for the 2018-2021 period. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 26 program. The findings showed that the liquidity ratio had no impact on the value of the company, while the ratio of profitability and solvency had a significant influence on the value of the company according to the hypothesis built in the study. The size of the company proved to significantly affect the value of the company. The implication of this research is that investors can use financial ratio analysis to make decisions before investing. Companies must also pay attention to their financial performance if they want to get investment funds. Large-scale companies usually have a large number of assets so that they can generate large profits, this is what can increase the value of the company.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays a key role in generating economic growth, encouraging innovation, and creating job opportunities. Understanding which demographic, psychological, and socio-economic factors contribute to fear of failure in entrepreneurship is essential to developing proper standards in entrepreneurship education and policy. However, it remains challenging to accurately classify these factors, especially when balancing model performance with model complexity in a multilayer perceptron algorithm. An effective model requires the correct parameter setting via a hyperparameter tuning process. Adjusting each hyperparameter by hand requires significant effort and knowledge, as there are frequently multiple combinations to consider. Furthermore, manual tuning is prone to human error and may overlook optimal configurations, resulting in inferior model performance and prediction accuracy. This study evaluates nature-inspired optimization techniques, including particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA), and grey wolf optimization (GWO). Several parameters are tuned in the present multilayer perceptron model, including the number of hidden layers and the number of nodes in each hidden layer, learning rate, and activation functions. The used dataset which consists of 39 features from 333 samples captured individual fears, loss score, and computational efficiency as the required amount of time for finding the best parameter combination. Model accuracy performance scores are 45.16%, 53.76%, and 58.61% for GA, PSO, and GWO, respectively. Meanwhile their execution time are 10 minutes, 27 minutes, and 23 minutes, for GA, PSO, and GWO, respectively. Experiment results further reveal that each optimization algorithm has distinct advantages: GA excels at speedy convergence, PSO provides a robust exploration of hyperparameter space, and GWO offers remarkable adaptability to complicated parameter interdependencies. This study provides empirical evidence for the efficacy of nature-inspired hyperparameter modification in improving multilayer perceptron performance for fear of failure categorization tasks.
