Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media, indicators, and indicators of whether student learning outcomes use webblog learning media developed on chemical bonding material that is higher than the predetermined KKM value. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R&D). By using the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sample used in this study were students of class X MIA 1 at SMA Negeri 8 Medan using purposive sampling technique. From the results of the analysis, the media developed by webblog learning. Results The results by the lecturers obtained an average feasibility of 90%, and an average score of material experts was 95%. Thus the learning media developed is valid and very suitable for use as learning media. The learning media developed were then tested on students to see students' chemistry learning outcomes. Testing was carried out using 1 experimental class which was carried out with webblog learning media. The hypothesis test shows that the average student learning outcomes of the experimental class are 78.29 with a minimum completeness criteria (KKM) 75. Based on statistical analysis at the 5% significance level it can be stated that the student learning outcomes using the developed webblog media are higher than the KKM values that have been set.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the world of education is currently intensively developing scientific literacy skills for students. This condition is the result of the rapid development of science and technology (IPTEK), so students must be able to act wisely and be able to adapt to science, environment, society, and technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of scientific literacy in nominal, functional, conceptual, and multidimensional aspects of class XI students on buffer solution material at State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Binjai, Langkat Regency. This research method is a survey research, using a cross-sectional survey design. The sample in this study was taken from class XI IPA 1, totaling 30 people based on a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a scientific literacy test in the form of essay questions, with indicators of scientific literacy referring to the theoretical framework. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the average value of students' scientific literacy abilities, nominal literacy indicators were 83.33%, functional indicators were 57.67%, conceptual indicators were 59.07%, and multidimensional indicators were 28.49%.

Abstract

The 2013 Curriculum System requires students to play an active role in the learning process at school and study independently. So it is necessary to have learning media that can help students understand chemistry learning. Chemistry is a natural science that is both a product and a concept so that learning can be done through practicum activities. Practicum activities require a device as a guide in scientific work called a practical guidebook. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which describes descriptively the results of the analysis carried out. The stages are as follows: the interview stage was conducted with Chemistry subject teachers to obtain data in the form of the use of practicum instructions that have been used so far and hopes for improvement. The second stage of the analysis was carried out using a questionnaire given to students to see how the practicum teaching and learning process was doing at school so far. This research involved students of class XI IPA Al-Azhar Private High School Medan. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been described, it is concluded that the chemistry practicum guide that has been used so far at Madrasah Aliyah Al Washliyah Kedaisianam has not met the criteria. In the implementation of chemistry practicum students have not used a special practicum module, but only used the modules available in the package book

Abstract

Learning media is one way to improve student learning outcomes. The Ferris wheel is one of these media that has many varied questions. It is hoped that the Ferris wheel-assisted TGT model will not only be innovative learning, but can also influence student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes for the buffer solution using the Ferris wheel. A quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent groups and the posttest alone design approach is the research methodology used. Purposive sampling was employed during the sample process. All 294 students in class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences at State High School 1 Lhokseumawe in the academic year 2022–2023 made up the population of this study. with a 50-student research sample. ways for gathering data, including tests, interviews, and observation. The research questions are evaluated with a school that is similar to the research location before being used in the study. The difficulty of the problems being examined, the discriminatory capacity, the validity, and the dependability of the tests are all taken into consideration. The outcomes revealed a sizable distinction between the Experiment I class and the Experiment II class. Cognitive ability as measured by the experimental class I average of 85.37 and experimental class II average of 79.58. If the value of sig 0.05, then Ha is acceptable. Cognitive findings sig. (2-tailed) t-test for equality of means on equal variances is assumed to be 0.008. The material for the buffer solution for class XI MIA was found to have a good impact on student learning outcomes when the TGT model using the Ferris wheel was used SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe

Abstract

Minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai tanaman obat beserta khasiat tanaman obat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh atau imunitas tubuh. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu dilaksanakan edukasi kepada masyarakat berupa jenis tanaman obat, hasiat dan cara penggunaan/pengolahan secara tepat berdasarkan pendekatan ilmiah yang berbasis bukti. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat yaitu pelatihan pembuatan minuman herbal kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan imun tubuh dengan minuman herbal. Lokasi kegiatan penyuluhan ini dilaksanakan di desa Mencirim, Kecamatan Binjai Selatan, Kota Binjai sebagai mitra. Selama satu minggu diadakan pelatihan pembuatan minuman herbal masyarakat Desa Mencirim sangat antusias bahkan dapat menghabiskan 40-50 botol minuman herbal setiap harinya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran POGIL terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMA kelas XI materi Larutan Penyangga. Metode yang dipakai di penelitian ini yakni quasi eksperimen menggambarkan efektivitas model pembelajaran POGIL terhadap hasil belajar dengan desain nonequivalen control gruop design. Sampel diambil di lakukan teknik purposive sampling, diperoleh XI MIA 1 selaku kelas eksperimen (POGIL) serta kelas XI MIA 2 selaku kelas kontrol (Kooperative). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan tes, berupa soal pretest serta posttest. Nilai rata-rata pretest kelas kontrol serta kelas eksperimen ialah 16,51 dan 19,68. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol serta kelas eksperimen yakni 73,18 dan 78,75. Nilai uji hipotesis dari dua kelas eksperimen tersebut yakni nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,462 atau > 0,05 jadi nilai sig pada uji T di bawah 0,05 sehingga disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran POGIL terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMA kelas XI materi Larutan Penyangga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan siswa untuk pengembangan panduan praktikum kimia. Panduan praktikum diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kerjasama siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis kebutuhan siswa dilakukan dari analisis awal, analisis siswa, analisis konsep, dan analisis tugas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 6 Medan. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa siswa membutuhkan buku panduan praktikum. Secara umum, dapat dilihat bahwa 86,9% siswa menyukai kegiatan praktikum. 100% siswa menyatakan bahwa dalam kegiatan praktikum mereka tidak menggunakan buku panduan, buku yang digunakan pada saat praktikum, yaitu buku teks, 78,3% siswa menyatakan bahwa mereka mengalami kesulitan ketika melakukan kegiatan praktikum, karena dalam buku teks tidak ada lembar kegiatan untuk siswa dan langkah-langkah dalam melakukan kegiatan praktis juga kurang dipahami oleh siswa. 100% siswa menyatakan bahwa mereka membutuhkan buku panduan praktikum agar kegiatan praktikum dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Kata Kunci: penuntun praktikum, kimia, kebutuhan siswa This study aims to analyze students' needs for the development of a chemistry practicum guide. The practicum guide is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills and cooperation. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. Analysis of students' needs was carried out from the initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, and task analysis. The research subjects were students of class XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 6 Medan. From the results of the analysis, it was found that students needed practicum guidebooks. In general, it can be seen that 86.9% of students like practicum activities. 100% of students stated that in practicum activities they did not use guidebooks, books used during practicum, namely textbooks, 78.3% of students stated that they experienced difficulties when carrying out practicum activities, because in textbooks there were no activity sheets for students and the steps in carrying out practical activities are also poorly understood by students. 100% of students stated that they needed a practicum manual so that practicum activities could run smoothly. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa label konsep dan kesesuaian  materi ajar terhadap kurikulum 2013 pada konsep larutan penyangga dan mengidentifikasi proporsi yang menimbulkan kesalahan konsep (miskonsepsi) pada buku teks kimia SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah table analisis konsep yang disesuaikan dengan Silabus pada kurikulum 2013. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis pada dua buah buku teks kimia SMA kelas XI dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan label konsep yang dianalisis secara keseluruhan berjumlah 9 label konsep, label konsep pada buku A ada 9 label sesuai dengan silabus kurikulum 2013 dan pada Buku B ada 8 Label konsep dan sesuai dengan silabus kurikulum 2013. Materi Larutan Penyangga berdasarkan struktur makro wacana pada buku teks A pembahasan konsep pada dimensi elaborasi mencapai 4 level dan pada dimensi progresi pada level 2 terdapat 3 konsep yaitu: komponen, cara kerja dan pH larutan penyangga. Sedangkan pada buku teks B pembahasan konsep pada dimensi elaborasi mencapai level 4 dan pada dimensi progresi pada level 2 terdapat 4 konsep, yaitu: Komponen, Prinsip, Fungsi dan Perhitungan pH larutan penyangga. Proposisi yang berpotensi kesalahan konsep pada buku teks A ada dua, yaitu: keterangan rumus pH larutan penyangga dan perhitungan contoh soal  larutan penyangga asam yang dihitung adalah mol garam. Proposisi yang berpotensi kesalahan konsep pada buku teks B ada empat, yaitu: penggunaan kata yang kurang lengkap, penjelasan cara kerja larutan penyangga hanya pada larutan penyangga asam, kekurangan penjelasan tentang pembentukan larutan penyangga dari asam lemah dengan basa kuat atau sebaliknya dari asam kuat dan basa lemah serta penyelesaian conotoh soal hanya menghitung mol garam.

Abstract

Perangkat pembelajaran merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam mempengaruhi keberhasilan pembelajaran terutama diperguruan tinggi. Dengan meningkatkan kualitas perangkat pembelajaran, maka dapat memudahkan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi termasuk materi pembelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) dan Modul Pembelajaran sesuai kurikulum kerangka kualifikasi nasional indonesia (KKNI). Pengembangan ini dilakukan pada mata kuliah kimia fisika di jurusan Teknik kimia Universitas Bung Hatta (UBH). Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian pengembangan model 4-D, namun pada penelitian ini hanya sampai pada 3 tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, dan tahap pengembangan. Validator yang terlibat pada penelitian ini adalah validator ahli pengembangan dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran diperoleh nilai rata-rata kedua perangkat adalah 3,79 (kriteria sangat layak). Hal ini berarti perangkat pembelajaran yang dibuat sudah sesuai dengan kerangka kualifikasi nasional Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of intimate clothing with tight designs among UINSU female students, as well as the factors that influence their understanding of Islamic clothing. Using a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques, this study revealed that many female students understand Islamic clothing as an obligation to cover their intimate parts without considering aspects of modesty. The influence of social media and modern fashion trends also play a major role in shaping their clothing style. This study concludes that a deeper understanding of the values of Islamic dress is needed to maintain a balance between religiosity and modernity.
