Abstract

This study seeks to reconstitute Fiqh al-Bi’ah through the Islam Hadhari framework, amalgamating Muamalah and cultural aspects into a holistic ecological management model. The research employed a grounded theory methodology in Terengganu, Malaysia, utilizing data collection methods that included in-depth interviews with local community members and participatory observations of marine conservation practices. The gathered data were subjected to thematic analysis to discern patterns and correlate them with Islamic ecological principles. Data validation was accomplished via triangulation, guaranteeing consistency across many sources and methodologies. The results indicate that local traditions, including mangrove conservation, sustainable fishing methods, and spiritual ceremonies, correspond with the tenets of tawazun (balance), adl (justice), and ri’ayah al-bi’ah (environmental stewardship). This reformulation presents new dimensions, including Muwafaqah Ruhiyah Ma’a al-Tabi’ah (spiritual harmony with nature) denoting the religious aspect, Istimrariyah Bayn al-Ajyal (intergenerational sustainability) emphasizing economic sustainability across generations, and Taqdir al-Iqtisad al-Mahalli (empowerment of local economies), which illustrates the amalgamation of cultural heritage and economic resilience in ecological management. This approach's primary strength is its amalgamation of Islamic ideals with pragmatic conservation measures, promoting a balance between environmental sustainability and community welfare. Nonetheless, the study's restricted geographic emphasis on Terengganu poses a hurdle for generalizing its application to broader contexts. Subsequent studies should extend this model to more regions characterized by varied ecological and cultural contexts, affirming its universal applicability. This study significantly contributes to Islamic environmental discourse by presenting a reproducible methodology for tackling global ecological concerns through a value-oriented approach.

Abstract

Climate change, environmental pollution, and ecological crisis are global issues that require early attention. Schools have a strategic role in instilling environmental awareness and culture in the younger generation. This community service supports sustainable education efforts through the application of environmental care values and culture at SMP Negreri 01 Pulau Pari. Community service is carried out through socialization, training, and mentoring in the application of the Adiwiyata principles. All activities are monitored and documented to support the sustainability of the program. The results show that this community service activity has been carefully designed and implemented very well, so that it runs on time according to the schedule that has been set. The material presented is very relevant to the needs of the participants, so that it provides direct benefits and is in accordance with expectations. The facilities provided are complete and support the smooth running of the activity, while the committee's service is very satisfying and responsive to the needs of the participants. In addition, the facilitators involved are considered quite effective and communicative in delivering the material, able to explain clearly and build good interactions with participants, so that the learning atmosphere becomes more lively and interactive. Community service activities have provided applicable knowledge and insight for the school environment, strengthened the relationship between schools and universities, and enriched the experience and motivation of the community.

Abstract

This research uses the Naniura NRD300 HF tool to apply the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method which aims to determine the direction of distribution of iron sand, the volume of iron sand, and the Fe2O3 concentration of iron sand in the southern Paca beach area. The collected measurement results are then processed by RES2DINV software into a 2 Dimensional (2D) cross section which shows the distribution value of the subsurface layer as shown by a color image. After being saved in (.xyz) format, the RES2DINV software results are processed in RockWork software to create a pseudo-3D cross section. The RES2DINV software results show a resistivity value between 0,0761 – 3,59 Ωm which is identified as iron sand with a volume of 13,304 m3 at a depth of 2,50 – 9 meters from the surface of the datum point, while on track 2, the resistivity value ranges between 0,414 – 3,13 Ωm, and at a depth of 2,50 – 7 meters from the surface of the datum point with a volume reaching 12,883 m3 based on the results of the RockWork software. The distribution of iron sand deposits in the study area is from south to north. The method used to determine the composition of minerals present in a sample is called X-ray fluorescence (XRF). The results of the analysis of the Fe2O3 content in the first pass were 36,704% and in pass 2 it was 35,500%.

Abstract

Surface waves often cause significant noise in seismic data, complicating the interpretation of subsurface structures. Traditional filtering methods, such as FK filtering, usually struggle with non-stationary noise and require extensive manual parameter tuning. This study explores the effectiveness of using K-means clustering, incorporating attributes such as amplitude, frequency, and phase to filter surface waves from seismic data. Synthetic seismic data were first generated to test the proposed method, ensuring its robustness before application to real field data. Attributes were extracted from each seismic trace, including instantaneous amplitude, frequency, and phase. These attributes were used as input parameters for the K-means clustering algorithm. The identified clusters corresponding to surface waves were then used to filter these waves from the seismic data. The K-Means clustering effectively differentiated surface waves from reflected waves in both synthetic and real seismic datasets. The method demonstrated that by including phase as an attribute, alongside amplitude and frequency, the accuracy of surface wave detection and filtering significantly improved. The synthetic data showed a clear separation of wave types, validating the method. When applied to real field data, the approach consistently removed surface waves, clarity of seismic reflections crucial for subsurface analysis.
