Abstract

In order to meet the demand for the high quality and the minimal production cost, and then the manufacture company of the motorcycle was prosecuted to continue to carry out the innovation. One of the forms of his innovation was the development of process technology of welding permanent in frame body the motor. The process of welding automatically this used two robots welding and one robot handling. Besides this was gotten several supporting implements like: the security sensor, the sensor to operational, the operational switch, and the solenoid to move gripper & slider. In this research, was carried out by the design of the control system of integrated communication between the robot's three units with his supporting implement that could control as well as visualize the process of welding. This control system was carried out manually or automatically, by considering the aspect of the safety of the operator and the machine. As controller especially, this system used Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) to monitoring the process that was taking place, and the system error recording. Automation of the process of permanent welding frame body this motor could go well. The process of welding frame body the motor could go in accordance with the function and the operation that were wanted. Results of welding (welding bead) are better and stable compared with welding manually, as well as could increase the security factor and the safety for the operator and the machine. Abstract

Rencana peningkatan jumlah produksi pada perusahaan manufaktur berdampak pada penambahan waktu proses produksi. Perusahaan menargetkan penurunan waktu proses sebesar 36.6 % agar mampu mengimbangi jumlah produksi dengan jam kerja yang sama tanpa menambah jumlah operator. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan otomatisasi mesin pengemas produk pada jalur pengemasan. Langkah awal pembuatan mesin pengemas produk ini dengan membuat prototype mesin. Prototype ini dirancang dan dibuat untuk dapat merealisasikan ide-ide yang ada dengan ukuran yang sebenarnya. Mesin pengemas ini menggunakan sub mesin indexing table dengan servomotor sebagai aktuator dan sistem kendali Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Mesin pengemas produk mampu mengemas produk secara konstan sesuai standar pengemasan dengan penurunan waktu proses sebesar 17.2 % dibanding proses manual dan menurunkan jumlah operator sebanyak 73,3 %.

Abstract

Kebutuhan industri otomotif terhadap Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) sudah semakin terasa. AGV adalah kendaraan dengan system control otomatis yang berfungsi membawa spare part yang dapat bergerak tanpa dikendalikan manusia. Bagaimana merancang sistem kendali elektrik pada AGV sehingga dapat dikendalikan secara otomatis. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) OMRON SYSMAC CJ1M CPU 22 sebagai pengendali bagian mekanik dari AGV. AGV dapat dioperasikan secara otomatis mengikuti jalur berwarna terang (putih). Jalur tersebut dideteksi oleh 2 sensor kontras. Sinyal dari sensor kontras tersebut diolah oleh PLC yang kemudian dikirim ke driver motor. Driver motor akan menggerakkan motor-motor. Motor-motor ini menggerakkan AGV untuk maju dan berbelok dengan kecepatan tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, AGV yang dibuat telah mampu membawa beban 100 kg dengan kecepatan 0,5 m/s. Dengan menggunakan sumber tegangan 24V 24Ah, AGV mampu beroperasi terus menerus selama 11 jam, sedangkan dalam kondisi stand by dapat bertahan hingga 27 jam. Abstract

Developing to mechatronics module system has been a need for complementary mechatronics learning system that a whole and integration in the conveyor belt system. We had designed a station that can use function of sensors for knowing and determining the position of work part as accurately. The work process of sensory system station is to know and to determine the position of work part on the pallet, is the position where definition or not. After that, this position will be informed to turning device station. Based on the testing design of sensory system station, the use of 3 fiber optic sensor (NPN type with dual adjuster, input 12-24 volt DC), the sensor can read for 4 different position of the work part. The distance optic cable from fiber optic sensor to work part is 8 mm. While, the distance of reading fiber optic sensor is 37 mm (if vertical with the part, but it can be adjusted with the dual adjuster), and the minimum reading of diameter is 0.03 mm.

Abstract

Developing to modular mechatronics system has been a need for complementary mechatronics learning system at Politeknik Manufaktur Astra. The system is a whole and integration in the conveyor belt system. We design a rotary gripper station that can be used for lifting work-object by gripping it with the vacuum. After work-object has been gripped, then shift it to the next station. In this paper, we design a rotary actuator as an actuator tool that can move by rotary until 1800. Based on the design results, calculation analysis, and testing this equipment, has been getting that the equipment specification as the same with the needs.

Abstract

Shock absorber as a part of motorcycle consist of front fork circuit and OCU (Oil Cushion Unit). Outer tube is outside area of front fork circuit that molded by liquid aluminium at gravity casting machine. The molding has continue cooling water flow system that uncontrolled by the operator. Cooling in below point, midle point, and upper on the molding. This condition has cause defect on the product because the cooling systems. Kind of defect for examples: shrinkage, unperfect, and cavity on outer tube surface. As improvement steps, we design a temperature control system with installing two of temperature sensor. In addition, we modify from manual valve system into the automatic valve system. Manual system will be changed to automatic system by using the principle in thermocontrol, i.e using on-off control method. Based on the improvement results, has been got decrease of defect product from 6.6 % into 2.7%.

Abstract

In the units of heavy equipment such as dump trucks have a wide range of electrical controls communicate with each other. Communication between the control-based communication systems using Control Area Network (CAN). To support the training activities then made control area network simulation equipment. The simulation equipment simulates multiple existing controls on the units of heavy equipment, namely: control monitor, control engine, and transmission control. In this study the design of simulation equipments have been developed Control Area Network (CAN) monitor, engine and transmission. The design of this simulation equipment using a PIC 18F452 microcontroller as the brains for the control monitor and PIC 16F877 as the brains for the control engine, and transmission. Communication in this simulation equipment to use CAN-SPI module. The third control has input, output, and its own function. Control monitor has a function as a monitor of the other control conditions such as rpm, temperature, and throttle position. Control engine functions as a regulator of rpm and has an indicator of ignition. Transmission control functions as a modifier of transmission mode, has a level indicator of the transmission, and has a temperature sensor to monitor ambient temperature.

Abstract

Dalam makalah ini, kami melakukan penelitian mengenai modifikasi mesin quenching yaitu dengan mengganti jenis sensornya. Hal ini dilakukan karena pada sistem proximity switch sering terjadi masalah, yaitu Sensor Proximity sering rusak sehingga mesin sering mengalami Breakdown, dan pengaturan jarak ON pada setiap tipe mengalami kesulitan. Kesulitan yang dialami adalah dalam hal penyetingan centering upper dan lower pada benda kerja. Untuk menghindari masalah yang diakibatkan oleh sistem Proximity switch, maka sistem tersebut diganti dengan Sistem Silinder MONOSASHI-KUN. Salah satu kelebihan dari sistem Silinder Monosashi-kun ini adalah sistem tidak mudah rusak. Dengan dimodifikasinya mesin Quenching menggunakan sistem Silinder Monosashi-kun, maka sistem ini dapat mengurangi Breakdown Time, Adjust jarak ON sangat mudah, dan mempermudah penyetingan centering upper dan lower.

Abstract

PT XYZ is doing the water pump assembly, require the production process faster. This is because the demands of an ever-increasing production from year to year. In this research, we were carried out pump engine control system design using programmable logic controller inspection type LG-DR60A Glofa G7M. Pump engine inspection serves as a checker engine water pump automatically. Tests on this machine get a faster processing time, which amounted to 15.26 seconds in which previously was 26.65 seconds. Abstract

Berdasarkan data dari Departement Produksi di PT Inti Ganda Perdana, terjadi peningkatan permintaan produksi produk rear axle model D16D dari tahun 2009 sampai 2011 dan adanya projek baru pada akhir tahun 2011 yaitu model D01N yang merupakan model pengganti D16D. Pada proses pembuatan rear axle, khususnya pada pembuatan komponen housing assy mengalami masalah yaitu tidak tercapainya jumlah permintaan produksi (loading) yang dikarenakan adanya hambatan (bottleneck) proses pada mesin clamping. Mesin clamping ini memiliki cycle time yang cukup lama, yaitu 102 detik karena masih menggunakan sistem clamping manual, yaitu hanya dikontrol dengan rangkaian sistem pneumatik. Oleh karena itu, untuk memenuhi jumlah permintaan produksi housing assy, maka dibuatlah suatu mesin yaitu mesin clamping semi-auto dengan sistem kontrolnya menggunakan PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) dan HMI (Human Machine Interface) serta di program sesuai dengan proses kerja yang diinginkan sehingga kapasitas produksi dapat tercapai dan meningkat 10% dengan cycle time mesin clamping semi-auto menjadi 92 detik.
