Abstract

The research purposed to identify varieties of sweet potato cultivated in Malang Regency and its comparison focused from farm and marketing. The population observed were farmers and marketing institution of sweet potato obtained from three districts, i.e., Pakis, Ngajum, and Nongkojajar. The farmer’s samples were determined by disproportionate stratified random sampling based on stratum of sweet potato. Each variety was presented by 20 farmers as sample. Sampling technique for marketing institution was snowball sampling. The data was analyzed descriptively by mathematics analysis for counting farm and marketer profit. The research result showed that there were six varieties of sweet potato cultivated and gave prospective in Malang Regency, i.e., Steven, Mr. Ong, IR Melati, Sari, Ubi ungu, and Gunung Kawi. The average farm income per_hectar at each variety was Steven Rp10,322,636.00; Sari Rp8,802,000.00; Mr.Ong Rp7,075,000.00; Ubi Ungu Rp5,905,936.00; IR Melati Rp4,309,167.00, and Gunung Kawi Rp3,976,500.00. Rural people at the research place prefer cultivated sweet potato compared to rice or other commodities because of the profit comparison. In term of marketing activity, the highest marketer profit was found at the variety of Ubi Ungu and Gunung Kawi, because the product price was more expensive so that the price margin was also bigger.

Abstract

Cassava production is very important in Kabupaten Trenggalek to fulfill need of local industries and market demand from outside region. In fact, cassava produc-tion is not stable, one of the cause is price fluctuation. Before planting time, cassava price is expencive and farmers are interested to plant, however, at harvest time the price is fall so that farmers get lose. Such condition caused farmers to change to plant others commodity. The study aimed to: 1) conduct maping of the real system of cassava farm manage-ment and farmers performance in Kabupaten Trenggalek East Java; 2) analyze the components and its relevant on cassava farm management and farmers performance; 3) design model of cassava farm management and farmers performance in the perspective of system dynamic. The system dynamic analysis that did maping the real system creat a mental model, causal loop diagram (CLD). There are two model sub-systems, they are sub-system of farm management are sub-system of farmers performance. Based on the mental model, next we design Flow Diagram (FD) of the model and model validation by using software of Vensim. In the model of farm management and farmers performance, it was found a leverage factor namely technology of integrated farming system (IFS). If a component of IFS is change or slightly increased/decreased, the whole system will also changed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of cut chrysanthemum farming and the effect of the use of chrysanthemum cut production inputs on the risk of chrysanthemum production in Sidomulyo Village, Batu City. This research was carried out during May and June for one time planting at the last harvest in 2018 year. Data collection was obtained through interviews to 34 farmers that taken as a whole (census method). Farm income is analyzed using Economic Analysis while the factors that influence the risk of chrysanthemum production are cut analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis Cobb-Douglass production function model and Just and Pope production function. The results of the analysis show that Chrysanthemum farming income cut profitable and efficientc, seen from the results of the R / C Ratio amounting to 1,90. Production factors significantly affect the productivity of cut chrysanthemums is seeds, chemical fertilizers, and labor while the factors that significantly affect the risk of production is chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

Desa Tawangargo merupakan salah satu Desa Perbatasan di wilayah Kabupaten Malang dan Kota Batu,Secara geografis Desa Tawangargo secara tidak langsung pola hidup dan cara pandang masyarakat lebih tertuju pada pola hidup masyarakat kota, namun demikian adat istiadat serta dinamika masyarakat masih sifat kegotong royongan masih sangat tinggi.Sehingga secara umum masyarakat merasa ikut memiliki, memikirkan bagaiman Desanya menjadi berkembang,maju dan madiri menjadi desa swasembada.Melihat manfaat dari lomba Desa dan Kelurahan adalah salah satu kegiatan Pemerintah yang hakekatnya merupakan upaya untuk mendorong usaha Pembangunan masyarakat atas dasar tekat dan kekuatan sendiri. Kegiatan tesebut sekaligus untuk meneliti dan menilai keberhasilan usaha-usaha masyarakat dalam membangun Desa dan Kelurahan, yang terwujut dalam peningkatan kualitas dibidang kehidupan ekonomi, sosial, politik dan kebudayaan masyarakat serta terpeliharanya lingungan Desa yang sejahtera.

Abstract

Pro-environmental consumers act selectively in choosing products, including packaging. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for the women farmer groups in Tawangargo Village, which produce food and beverage products. The method of this service activity was training and mentoring, transfer of information, monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity have opened the insights of the female farmer group members to use environmentally friendly packaging and build relationships with suppliers. Especially with the transfer of technology through digital marketing, it will open up wider market opportunities. In its development, the use of environmentally friendly packaging was still combined with conventional packaging to maintain an existing market. On the other hand, actively uploading products in the digital market has not been going well, so it requires further assistance.

Abstract

Abstract

Petani di sekitar Waduk Pacal memanfaatkan lahan waduk saat air surut sebagai tempat berusahatani, sehingga waktu budidaya terbatas. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pendapatan petani, alokasi belanja konsumsi pangan, dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemenuhan konsumsi pangan. Data primer diperoleh dari 100 petani sampel di sekitar Waduk Pacal, dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan petani berkisar Rp250.000/bulanRp 5.000.000/bulan. Keluarga petani yang hanya bertanam di waduk mempunyai pendapatan sangat rendah, sebagian menambah pendapatan dengan bekerja sebagai buruh tani atau pekerjaan non-pertanian. Alokasi belanja pangan paling besar untuk membeli beras (26,2%) dan sumber protein hewani (16,3%). Secara umum konsumsi pangan masih dominan karbohidrat (beras). Konsumsi pangan rumahtangga petani dipengaruhi oleh usahatani, dan alokasi belanja pangan. Hasil penelitian merekomendasi perlunya pemanfaatan tepi waduk saat pasang untuk budaya ikan, sehingga hasilnya dapat meningkatkan konsumsi protein hewani. Selain itu perlu dibuka lapangan kerja pedesaan sebagai sumber pendapatan yang layak bagi petani untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga mereka.

Abstract

Organic eggs have been marketed to provide safe food and protect the environment sustainability all at once. However, the high price is being an obstacle to expanding the organic egg market in East Java Province. The aims of this research were to analyze the factors that influence the willingness to pay (WTP) and hedonic prices of organic eggs and to formulate pricing strategies. This research was conducted by using an online survey method in East Java Province, Indonesia. The survey was conducted from May to July 2021. The obtained data were analyzed by using multinomial logistic, linear regression, and descriptive analysis. The results showed that 26.4% of consumers were willing to pay for organic eggs 10% more than the current price. The factor that influenced WTP was product quality. Meanwhile, the factors that influence the price were the eggs taste and the organic label. The results showed that market players of organic egg agribusiness still have the opportunity to increase the price of organic eggs. However, they must inform consumers about the health benefits of organic eggs and include them on the organic eggs label.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the availability and distribution of food, but its impact on food consumption at the household level was not much known. The aim of the research was to analyze changes in food expense during the Covid-19 pandemic of cases in Indonesia and Armenia. Indonesian case used primary data in April-May 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. Data were analyzed descriptively and paired t statistic test. The results showed that there was a change in consumption during the pandemic. The significant changes were an increase in the amount of rice consumption, an increase in food expense, and a decrease in the purchase of cooked meal. Snack purchases during the pandemic increased but not significantly. The Armenia case used secondary data from FAO. Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the post-war crisis in the Republic of Armenia, it has had a negative impact on transportation, storage, sales, financial situation, access, and availability of agricultural products and labor markets. Thus, digital solutions for agricultural marketing, that is Digital Agriculture Marketplace Platform have been adopted. The conclusion was that the impact of the pandemic actually increased consumption needs. The recommendation that given was the support for food logistics transportation which very much needed in the pandemic era and more specifically supported by food distribution security.

Abstract

Pengrajin keripik tempe memerlukan srategi pemasaran yang baik dalam pengelolaan usahanya. Produksi dan teknik pemasaran produk antar pengrajin keripik tempe kurang lebih sama, namun harga dan kualitas yang ditawarkan berbeda-beda. Subjek Penelitian merupakan pengrajin keripik tempe yang menjadi sumber informasi untuk mendapatkan data. Objek penelitian adalah strategi untuk meningkatkan produksi pendapatan pengrajin keripik tempe. Lokasi dan waktu penelitian Mei 2021 di Sanan kota Malang. Penentuan lokasi ini dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Analiiss yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni Analytical Hierarhy Process (AHP) dan Analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penenlitian menunjukkan bahwa Ketiga variabel yaitu biaya, harga dan pendapatan yang paling efektif adalah pemasaran pengrajin keripik tempe adalah dengan metode kios, karena hasil penjualannya lebih tinggi. Sedangkan berdasakan analisis structural equation modeling variabel yang paling berpengaruh yakni kios. Strategi pemasaran keripik tempe dipengaruhi oleh harga, biaya dan pendapatan. Dari kedua analisis tersebut telah diuji dan hasil dari kedua analisis tersebut menghasilkan pemilihan kios.
