Abstract

This paper aims to find out the implementation of sharia economic law in a multicultural society in Indonesia with its principles. The writing uses the library research method (literature study). The results obtained are that multiculturalism appreciates cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity as assets that enrich society, but brings challenges such as social tensions, economic integration, and inclusive policies. With intercultural dialog, multicultural education, and fair policies, society can overcome these challenges to create harmony and equality for all. Islamic economic principles prioritize justice in wealth distribution and transparency in trading activities, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. Its modern implementation, such as in sharia-based financial institutions, supports multicultural communities through inclusive financing and is based on the values of honesty and trustworthiness.

Abstract

Abstract

Employee performance in primary healthcare services is closely related to internal factors such as work discipline and motivation. In the context of the Kayu Laut Community Health Center (UPTD) in South Panyabungan, indications of fluctuating attendance and suboptimal work outcomes highlight the importance of examining these variables. A quantitative associative approach was applied using total sampling of 84 employees, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring work discipline, motivation, and performance. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination (R²). The findings indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as does work motivation. Simultaneously, both variables contribute significantly to performance improvement, explaining 63.2% of the variance, while the remaining proportion is influenced by other factors beyond the model. These results confirm that discipline and motivation function as complementary determinants in enhancing employee effectiveness within healthcare services. The study contributes to the limited empirical evidence on human resource performance in primary healthcare settings and underscores the importance of organizational strategies that strengthen discipline and foster motivation to achieve optimal service quality.

Abstract

Introduction: The development of the Shariah digital economy presents both opportunities and challenges for Muslim micro and small enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in interpreting Shariah principles in the digital era. This study aims to explore the sense-making process of Muslim MSME actors in Mandailing Natal in understanding and implementing Shariah-compliant digital economic practices. Methods: A qualitative interpretive case study approach was employed, involving some of active MSME informants through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of digital Shariah practices. Findings indicate that Shariah compliance in digital practices is pragmatic, adaptive, and contextual, involving negotiation between technological efficiency and religious values, as well as dual legitimacy from formal authorities and personal experience. Results: The Results highlight the critical role of actor sense-making in constructing subjective understanding of complex and often ambiguous Shariah principles. Conclusion and suggestion: Theoretically, this research extends the literature on Islamic digital economy and Shariah fintech by emphasizing the interpretive social construction of Shariah compliance. Practically, the findings provide guidance for developing digital platforms, Shariah digital literacy programs, and collaborations between regulators and religious authorities to enhance inclusion and sustainability of Muslim MSMEs

Abstract

Changes in work patterns due to digitalization and the pandemic have encouraged service companies, including online delivery services, to adopt a hybrid work model. In Mandailing Natal, this model presents challenges such as limited infrastructure, team coordination, and dynamic market demand. Therefore, adaptive management strategies are required to maintain optimal performance. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with managers, couriers, and customers from three online delivery service companies in Mandailing Natal. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that adaptive management strategies in the hybrid work model are implemented through three main steps: (1) adjusting the work structure between online and offline, (2) providing flexibility in scheduling and courier work rotation, and (3) utilizing digital technology for monitoring and communication. In addition, local factors such as geographical conditions and consumer habits are key considerations in adapting these strategies. Adaptive management strategies have been proven to improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction in online delivery services in Mandailing Natal. The adaptively managed hybrid work model is not only a solution to changing business environments but can also serve as a sustainable work pattern for digital-based services in regions with infrastructural limitations.

Abstract

Increasing environmental uncertainty, rapidly changing customer expectations, technological disruption, and intensified competition have challenged organizations to sustain long-term customer relationships using conventional marketing approaches. This study aims to conceptualize Marketing Resilience Capability (MRC) as a higher-order organizational capability that enables firms to anticipate, adapt to, and recover from market disruptions while preserving sustainable customer relationships. A qualitative multiple-case study design was employed involving organizations operating in the retail, service, and digital business sectors recognized for maintaining stable customer relationships during periods of market uncertainty. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with senior marketing managers and customer relationship executives, complemented by organizational documents, customer communication materials, and field observations. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by the constant comparative method. The findings identify four interrelated dimensions of Marketing Resilience Capability namely adaptive market sensing, relational responsiveness, customer value reconfiguration, and relationship continuity management. Adaptive market sensing enables organizations to detect emerging market changes proactively; relational responsiveness strengthens customer trust through transparent and empathetic communication; customer value reconfiguration continuously aligns organizational offerings with evolving customer expectations; and relationship continuity management institutionalizes sustained customer engagement beyond transactional exchanges. Collectively, these capabilities enable organizations to maintain customer confidence, loyalty, and relationship continuity despite dynamic market conditions. The study further demonstrates that sustainable customer relationships are achieved not solely through superior products or operational excellence but through continuous organizational adaptation and relational capability development.

Abstract

The increasing use of social media among adolescents presents challenges for character development in schools, particularly in digital communication ethics, responsible information sharing, cyberbullying, and self-regulation. This highlights the need to integrate digital literacy with character education to promote responsible online behavior. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen students’ digital morals and ethics through the Civilized School Program at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan, Indonesia. The program involved 30 students from grades X–XII and used an educational-participatory approach supported by teachers and school staff. Activities included digital ethics counseling, training on healthy digital communication, cyberbullying case simulations, reflective discussions, student-led digital campaigns, and the formation of student character ambassadors. Program evaluation used a mixed-method design involving pretest-posttest questionnaires, observations, reflections, and teacher interviews. Quantitative results showed an increase in average scores from 60.1% to 87.1%, representing a 27.0 percentage-point improvement across five indicators: digital communication ethics, awareness of cyberbullying, social empathy, responsible social media use, and self-regulation. Qualitative findings indicated improved student behavior, including more cautious online communication, more selective information sharing, and greater respect for others’ opinions. Overall, the program contributed to fostering a more ethical and responsible digital culture within the school. The Civilized School Program demonstrates potential as a participatory school-based model for integrating digital literacy and character education among adolescents.
