Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to understand the relationship between the quality of academic and administrative services and student trust in the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program in the Educational Administration Study Program at the University of Jambi. The flexibility of MBKM presents new challenges in the governance of higher education services, particularly in the aspects of communication, academic mentoring, and administration. Therefore, it is important to examine student perceptions and their influence on participation and learning experiences. The study used a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and institutional document review. Then, they were validated through triangulation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results showed positive student perceptions of academic services, especially communicative and responsive lecturer mentoring, while administrative services were still hampered by bureaucracy and document delays. Student trust is formed through transparency, commitment, consistency, and institutional concern, which synergistically with service quality directly influence student participation and active involvement in MBKM. The study concluded that the success of MBKM is determined by the quality of institutional services and student trust, making trust-based services key to the effectiveness of its implementation in higher education.

Abstract

his study aims to examine the influence of parental support, work environment, self-efficacy, and business expectations on the innovative work behavior (IWB) of students at the University of Jambi. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through a structured questionnaire that was distributed to 310 students from various faculties. The research instrument has passed the validity and reliability test through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to test hypotheses. The model feasibility index showed a good fit (χ²/df = 2.91; RMSEA = 0.063; CFI = 0.934; TLI = 0.921). The results showed that the work environment and self-efficacy had a significant positive influence on IWB, while parental support and business expectations did not show a significant direct influence. However, parental support has a positive effect on self-efficacy, and the work environment significantly affects business expectations, which suggests an important indirect pathway. This model explains 48.6% of the variance in IWB. The novelty of this study lies in the integration between environmental factors and personal psychological factors in a single model to predict student innovation behavior in the context of higher education. These findings provide insights for educational institutions to strengthen the potential for student innovation through improved learning environments and confidence-building programs. This research contributes to the development of science in the field of physics education by offering a model of student behavior that supports the formation of innovative, confident, and proactive learners of important attributes in the advancement of science and education. Abstract

The success of extracurricular activity management is largely determined by the principal's leadership. The principal not only serves as a policy administrator but also as a key actor in mobilizing all school resources to ensure the effective and sustainable running of extracurricular activities. One of the principal's strategic roles is as a facilitator, ensuring the availability of facilities, infrastructure, policy support, and access to internal and external school resources. The development of students’ interests and talents through extracurricular activities is an integral part of education oriented toward character building and non-academic skills, in which the success of implementation is strongly influenced by the school principal’s leadership as a facilitator. This qualitative case study describes the principal’s role, challenges, and solutions in developing students’ interests and talents through extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat using interviews, observations, and documentation analyzed with the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that the principal actively facilitates extracurricular activities through the provision of facilities, policy support, and coordination with teachers, while addressing limitations in facilities, budget, and teachers’ workload through adaptive and contextual leadership strategies.
