Abstract

  Berbagai faktor seperti pengakuan profesional, lingkungan kerja, pelatihan profesional, dan nilai intristik berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan karier menjadi akuntansi publik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti empiris bahwa pengakuan profesional, lingkungan kerja, pelatihan profesional, dan nilai intristik berpengaruh pemilihan karier menjadi akuntan publik. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jalur dengan pengukuran Partial Least Square (PLS). PLS  (nominal, ordinal, interval, rasio), objek yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa akuntansi Fakultas Bisnis Universitas Buddhi Dharma sebanyak 132 sampel. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapat bahwa, Pengakuan profesional berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan karier menjadi akuntan publik dengan nilai p value 0.000, Lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan karier menjadi akuntansi publik dengan nilai p value 0.358, Pelatihan profesional tidak berpengarih terhadap pemilihan karier menjadi akuntan publik dengan nilai p value 0.679, dan Nilai intristik pekerjaaan berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan karier menjadi akuntan publik dengan nilai p value 0.000.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendekia (MAN IC) in Kendari City is one of the OSN (National Science Olympiad) participants in the subject of biology, which is required to understand the idea and practice of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). However, there are insufficient skilled PCR teachers at the school, and no PCR facilities are currently accessible. The goal of this mentoring is to provide an in-depth understanding of the concept of PCR as well as full training on how to use PCR effectively. The method consists of two components: community education and training. The introduction of the PCR concept in this community service includes genetic material, DNA concepts, genes, genomes, DNA isolation, and DNA replication, while the training material includes solution taking techniques, PCR solution preparation, PCR usage procedures, PCR result visualization with electrophoresis, and data interpretation. The PCR has three main steps consisting of denaturation, annealing and extension which are carried out for 30-35 cycles with different temperatures at each step. The evaluation results showed that this mentoring helped the student understand PCR and was beneficial for the OSN competition due to its relevance to the competition syllabus. Moreover, the student also received a bronze medal in the biology competition.

Abstract

This study evaluates the efficacy of Task-Based Learning (TBL) in enhancing students’ English speaking proficiency, particularly in delivering procedure texts, and identifies the most pronounced pronunciation improvement. Conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Cikakak, ninth-grade students were randomly assigned to an experimental class using TBL or a control class receiving conventional instruction. The speaking assessment evaluated fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, and idea organization. This study addresses the research gap by analyzing pronunciation aspects, unlike previous studies that focused solely on TBL for teaching procedure texts at the junior high school level. The experimental class showed a substantial improvement, with a mean score surge from 57.80 to 80.50, while the control class experienced only a modest improvement from 55.67 to 62.33. The N-Gain score of 51.94 for the experimental group was effective, while the control group’s gain of 14.06 was ineffective. Statistical tests confirmed a significant disparity between the groups. Students also showed a favorable response to the TBL method, supporting the assertion that TBL effectively enhances speaking skills and engages students in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the various kinds of compounds from the saponin group found in local Indonesian garlic and map the biological potential of these compounds, especially the potential in the health sector. Saponins are a group of compounds characterized by the presence of foam. Saponins have various benefits both in the health, agriculture, animal husbandry, and also in the food and cosmetic industries. Fifteen compounds from the saponin group were identified from local Indonesian garlic obtained from West Papua, using Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) and validated based on their similarity with the NCBI PubChem database. Saponin compounds in local Papuan garlic, then, their biological potential was mapped using the PASS Server and showed that there were seventeen kinds of biological potential in the saponin compound group from Indonesian local garlic. The three most dominant potencies are as anticancer, antifungal, and hypolipemic. Based on this research, it can be concluded that Indonesian local garlic has great potential to be developed and applied in the health sector, especially as an anticancer related to the saponin content in tubers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding terhadap keterampilan passing bawah pada club bolavoli UPT SMPN 2 Ulaweng. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bolavoli. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan passing bawah yang dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test setelah pemberian perlakuan berupa variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan passing bawah siswa (nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05). Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,399 yang berarti latihan tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 39,9% terhadap peningkatan keterampilan passing bawah, sedangkan sisanya 60,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dengan demikian, penerapan variasi latihan memantulkan bola ke dinding efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan passing bawah siswa dalam permainan bolavoli.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 002 Langgini. The problem addressed in this research is the low level of students' conceptual understanding in mathematics, as indicated by the number of students who were unable to restate concepts, provide examples, or relate concepts through mathematical representations. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 18 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of mathematical concepts after implementing the Discovery Learning model. In the pre-cycle, only 33% of students achieved mastery. After the first and second cycles, the percentage of mastery increased significantly. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. This model allows students to learn actively and independently in discovering and understanding mathematical concepts.
