Abstract

Low soil fertility in Bangka becomes the main problem in permanent pattern of pepper cultivation. Utilization of micro and mesofauna plays a role in the decomposition of organic matter, improving soil structure, recycling of nutrients and reducing nutrient loss. This study aims to identify the potential of mesophuna isolation under the stand of pepper in stimulating the growth pepper seedlings. The initial stage of the activity is the identification and analysis of the abundance of mesofauna soil samples taken from South Bangka production centers of pepper plants. The potential tolerance of mesofauna acidity by growing pot system nursery pepper at different media acidity levels. The results showed that mesofauna obtained from Acari and Collembola species from Neanuridae family, Hypogastruridae, Entomobrydae, Sminthuridae, Cypoderidae, Mesotigmata. Based on tolerance to mesophyroid pH identified in this study are indifferent groups living on acid and alkaline pH conditions. Mesofauna can improve soil fertility as indicated by an increasing C-organic content, macro nutrients P, K, soil pH and soil aeration. Increasing macro nutrients and improving soil porosity of the planting media will stimulate root development and growth of nursery pepper.

Abstract

Tailing bekas tambang timah umumnya mengandung pasir dan kuarsa yang cukup tinggi sehingga kapasitas sangga (buffer capacity) terhadap unsur-unsur hara sangat rendah. Dengan demikian diperlukan bahan pembenah (ameliorant) untuk memperbaiki kondisi tersebut dengan melakukan pengujian pemberian lima jenis pupuk. Penelitian tentang budidaya tanaman pangan dan non pangan di lahan tailing timah di Bangka seperti tanaman kehutanan, tanaman hortikultura, tanaman perkebunan dan pakan telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian umumnya menunjukkan penambahan bahan organik dengan berbagai jenis dan mampu memperbaiki ketahanan tanaman yang ditumbuhkan pada cekaman dilahan tailing timah, tetapi belum menjelaskan keberadaan logam berat dalam jaringan tanaman tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi serta kandungan Pb selada yang ditumbuhkan di media tailing pasca tambang timah dengan penambahan berbagai jenis pupuk. Penelitian didesain menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan empat tingkat perlakuan jenis pupuk yang diulang sebanyak enam kali. Jenis perlakuan pupuk adalah : jenis 1 (NPK (15:15:15)), jenis 2 (kompos), jenis 3 (Kapur+NPK) dan Jenis 4 (kompos+NPK). Pertumbuhan selada menggunakan media tailing terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan jenis 4 ( pupuk kompos yang disertai dengan pupuk NPK). Kandungan Pb pucuk selada meningkat mengikuti peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman akibat pemupukan. Selada dengan perlakuan kompos yang disertai dengan pupuk NPK mempunyai kandungan Pb tertinggi, tetapi kandungan Pb akar tidak mengikuti kecenderungan pertumbuhan akibat pemupukan.

Abstract

Post tin mining tailings land in Bangka Belitung Islands Province has an area of around 400 000 ha. In terms of area, the land has the potential to be used as cultivated land, one of which is melon. The aims of the study is to see the effect of cow manure fertilizer and drip irrigation water volume on  melon plants growth in post tin mining tailings area. This research was conducted from June to August 2018 in the tailings area of Dewi Makmur Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. This experimental  used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial method. The first factor was cow manure with three levels (K1 = 2.5 kg/planting hole; K2 = 5 kg / planting hole; K3 = 7.5 kg / planting hole) and the second factor was drip irrigation volume (A1 = 800 ml; A2 = 1 500 ml). The results showed that giving cow manure and water irrigatian has no significant effect  on melon plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves, but the treatment  7.5 kg of  cow manure and 1 500 ml water gave results that tended to be better.

Abstract

Simple hydroponic wick system (Wicks) can be applied in overcoming the land crisis for the development of horticultural crops. Nutrients are an important part of hydroponic activities and Abmix is ​​a standard nutrient in hydroponic farming activities. It is necessary to test the opportunities for the utilization of nutrients from POC and synthetic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the opportunities for using liquid organic fertilizers (POC) and synthetic fertilizers in hydroponic lettuce plants using the wick system. The treatment consisted of 5 types of nutrition, namely (1) AB mix (control) 50 mL per 10 liters of water (ABM); (2) NPK 10 g + Gandasil 5 g per 10 liters of water (NPG); (3) Abmix 25 mL + 5g NPK + 2.5 g Gandasil per 10 liters of water (ANG); (4) Abmix 25 mL + 400 mL POC from chicken feather waste (ABP) and (5) 5 g NPK + 2.5 g Gandasil + 400 mL POC chicken feathers per 10 liters of water (NGP). The results showed that there were differences in the growth of lettuce in the hydroponic wick system due to the type of nutrition treatment. Alternative nutrients that have the potential to be used in wick cystic hydroponic lettuce are Abmix 25ml + 5g NPK + 2.5 g Gandasil per 10 liters of water (ANG) and Abmix 25 mL+ 400 mL POC from chicken feather waste per 10 liters of water (ABP)

Abstract

Rice production still has to be increased to meet the domestic needs of consumer preferences. Therefore, it is necessary to develop rice genotypes that have agronomic characteristics which can encourage high production. The objective of this research is to examine the variability of agronomic performance as well as the genotypic and phenotypic variability of agronomic traits among rice lines and cultivars. Materials included six promising lines and four cultivars. Urea, SP-36, and KCl fertilizers are used, as well as equipment for sacks, envelopes, fungicides, and pesticides. The research was based on an experiment with a randomized block design. This research was conducted at the Experimental Field of Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya in Jatimulyo, Malang, from March to July 2022. According to the data, there is variation in the agronomic performance of the examined genotypes. Based on the coefficient of genotypic variation value, none are classified as high. All characters had a high category of variation based on phenotypic variance.

Abstract

The real role of community service that is regularly scheduled and related to direct academics is KKN (Real Work Class) activities. KKN (Real Work Lecture) activities are a form of education by providing learning experiences for students to live in the midst of society outside the campus. Activities facilitating online data validation; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pagarawan Village are a form of development in the field of computers, both hardware and applications, which have made it easy for humans to complete work so that they can be more effective and efficient. This certainly can provide convenience, one of which is in terms of data collection. This activity is a data collection through a website in the form of a link Https:/data-umkm.babelprov.go.id which contains a description of registered MSMEs, for example the name of the business owner, NIK, KK number, what business was run, year of establishment, income to place of business. This data collection is directly supervised by the Office of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The results of this activity include knowing the number of MSMEs in Pagarawan Village.

Abstract

Superior upland rice varieties can be obtained through the plant breeding process. Upland rice lines that are carried out from crossing have different potentials. The research aims to determine upland rice promising lines with high yields in acid-dry land. The study is conducted on Ultisol soil. The first season is in 2019 for F6 lines, and the second is in 2021 for F7 lines. The experimental methods use factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment at the preliminary yield test use 5 lines 4 varieties, and 1 landrace. The advanced yield test uses 5 F7 lines (selected from F6 lines) and 5 types. Analysis data use ANOVA and LSI test. The result shows that lines GH8 and GH10 have the highest yields on acid-dry soils during two planting seasons. The GH10 line has a 7.20-9.53 kg/plot yield, and the GH8 line has a 5.22-6.26 kg/plot. The highest yield potential was the GH10 line of 3.69-4.77 t/ha, more increased than Balok, Banyuasin, Danau Gaung, Inpago 8, and PBM-UBB1 varieties. GH10 and GH8 lines are recommended as candidates for new superior varieties of upland rice that are adaptive to acid-dry soils.

Abstract

Hutan Indonesia menghasilkan keanekaragaman hayati (mega biodiversity) berupa flora dan fauna. Salah satu ganguan ekosistem hutan adalah terjadinya alih fungsi hutan menjadi perkebunan. Perkebunan Karet (Hevea brasiliensis) sebagai salah satu bentuk alih fungsi lahan yang dapat mengalami degradasi sifat fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah. Hal ini berdampak terhadap keberadaan fauna tanah. Fauna tanah merupakan bioindikator perubahan lingkungan tanah dan kesuburan tanah. Keberadaan fauna tanah dipengaruhi bahan organik di dalam tanah. Collembola adalah salah satu mesofauna yang dominan disemua jenis tanah. Collembola memiliki fungsi penting dalam ekosistem jaringan makanan dalam tanah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan keragaman mesofauna tanah dengan kandungan C-organik di perkebunan karet Rakyat di Desa Kemuja kabupaten Bangka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-korelasional dengan teknik survei. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan contoh tanah dilakukan dengan cara Pencuplikan Contoh Tanah (PCT). Sortasi dan koleksi collembola menggunakan corong Berlese-Tullgren. Collembola didapatkan dari sepuluh titik sampel tanah di perkebunan karet pada dua lahan yang berbeda serasah. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 85 collembola dalam empat famili. Populasi mesofauna dominan ditemukan pada lahan yang banyak serasah. Famili Collembola Entomobrydae paling banyak ditemukan dilahan. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi, hubungan C-organik tanah berkorelasi positif dengan kepadatan populasi, keragaman dan kekayaan jenis mesofauna tanah.

Abstract

Abstract:  Local fruit does not yet fully have a strategic place economically, even though the opportunities that are donated are very potential if managed properly. One of the causes of the low interest in local fruit is the unstable quality and availability of fruit, the promotion and presence of imported fruit as well as perceptions and habits that consider imported fruit to be better than local fruit. Local fruit types are very diverse and need to be developed in order to contribute economically. The purpose of this service is to seek to refresh the culture of knowing and loving local fruit. The method of activity is carried out with stages of activities starting with outreach activities and planting local fruit seeds as an effort to educate the community to love local fruits. The results of service activities are in the form of collaborative activities in providing good quality local fruit seeds with BPDAS Bangka Belitung Province. Furthermore, planting is carried out by planting directly in strategic places and distributed directly to the community. This activity was continued with the provision of fertilizers which also utilized local resources. It is hoped that the community will be independently inspired to continue developing this local fruit. As a closing activity, monitoring was carried out to maintain the sustainability and availability of this local fruit.Abstrak: Buah lokal belum memiliki tempat strategsi secara ekonomi, padahal peluang yang disumbangkan sangat potensial jika dikelola dengan baik.  Salah satu penyebab rendahnya minat terhadap buah lokal adalah kualitas dan ketersediaan buah yang tidak stabil, promosi dan keberadaan buah impor serta persepsi dan kebiasaan yang menganggap buah impor lebih baik dari buah lokal.  Jenis buah lokal sangat beragam dan perlu dikembangkan agar dapat memberikan sumbangan secara ekonomis.   Tujuan pengabidan ini adalah untuk mengupayakan penyegaran kembali budaya mengenal dan cinta buah local. Metode kegiatan dilakuan dengan tahapan  kegiatan yang dimulai  dengan kegiatan sosialisasi dan penanaman bibit buah lokal sebagai upaya pendidikan masyarakat cinta buahan lokal.  Hasil kegiatan pengabdian berupa  kegiatan kerjasama penyediaan bibit buah lokal berkualitas baik dengan BPDAS Provinsi Bangka Belitung.  Selanjutnya dilakukan penanaman dengan menanam langsung ditempat strategis serta dibagikan langsung kemasyarakat.  Kegiatan ini dilanjutkan dengan penyediaan pupuk yang juga memanfaatkan sumberdaya lokal.  Diharapkan  masyarakat terinspirasi secara mandiri untuk terus mengembangkan buah lokal ini.  Sebagai penutup kegiatan dilakukan pemantauan untuk tetap menjaga kelestarian dan ketersediaan buah lokal ini

Abstract

Proses perkecambahan padi merupakan langkah awal penting penentu perkembangan tanama dan dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, seperti cekaman kemasaman. Sebagian besar lahan pertanian di Indonesia memiliki nilai pH yang rendah. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dialakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakter morfologis perkecambahan padi pada fase perkecambahan pada kondisi cekaman masam terhadap hasil panen pada lahan sawah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2022. Percobaan perkecambahan dilasanakan di Laboratorium Pemuliaan Tanaman yang berada di Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya, sedangkan penanaman di lahan dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan milik Universitas Brawijaya, yang terletak di Kelurahan Jatimulyo, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang. Media perkecambahan dipersiapkan dalam kondisi pH masam. Simulasi kondisi hujan asam atau simulated acid rain (SAR) disiapkan dengan menggunakan larutan buffer asam sulfur H2SO4. Variabel yang diamati meliputi analisis korelasi genotipik, fenotipik dan analisis jalur dilakukan menggunakan software OPSTAT. Hasil penelitan ini menunjukan bahwa karakter perkecambahan bobot kering tunas pada kondisi masam memiliki nilai korelasi genotipik dan fenotipik dan pengaruh langsung yang tinggi terhadap hasil. Karakter umur panen dan umur berbunga menunjukan nilai koefisien korelasi dan pengaruh langsung yang negatif terhadap hasil panen.
