Abstract

The article entitled Analysis of Aceh's Economic Recovery Post-Tsunami and Prolonged Conflict in 2005-2013, aims to analyze changes and developments in the Acehnese economy after experiencing natural disasters in the form of the tsunami and the prolonged conflict that occurred before the tsunami. This article uses a qualitative approach and is assisted by historical methods. The technique used in this article is a literature study technique. The results obtained in this study are the changes and economic developments of the Aceh province with the data that has been obtained in the literature study conducted. The economy in the first year after the tsunami can be seen that the Acehnese economy is in a very chaotic condition, even reaching minus in 2005 and becoming the region with the lowest economy in all of Indonesia. However, gradually Aceh began to rise from various sectors, be it economy, education, infrastructure, began to be built and progressed after the natural disaster and prolonged conflict.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the implementation of the problem-based learning model with the spotlight technique on the learning motivation of class XI MIPA 6 students at SMAN 2 Banda Aceh. This type of research is Collaborative Classroom Action Research which is carried out synergistically with the teacher in class, to increase student learning motivation. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 6 which amounted to 23 people. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively descriptive. Based on the research results, it was found that there was a change in student behavior from the pre-cycle to cycle 1 and cycle 2. This was demonstrated by the questionnaire's pre-cycle results, which had a proportion of 67.60% in the "Enough" category. Cycle 1 was 77.42% and met the "Good" standard. Cycle 2 saw a difference of 81.50% using the "Good" criteria.. The learning process using problem based learning with the spotlight technique is considered very interesting by students because it focuses them on learning and is able to increase their motivation or desire to learn history in themselves.

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate dynamics of Indonesian intellectuals and the political landscape from 1997 to 1999. Utilizing qualitative research and literature analysis, it unveils the pivotal role intellectuals played in shaping democracy in Indonesia during these tumultuous years. The findings emphasize democracy's imperative nature, evolving from a necessity to a social reality. Intellectuals' engagement from 1997-1999 reflects a collective effort to establish a democratic framework. The social and political dynamics of the 1998 reform era significantly influenced democratic development. Presently, the impact is evident, granting unprecedented freedom of expression, association, and press freedom. The Reform Movement, responding to multifaceted crises, emerged as an unwavering force, enjoying overwhelming public support. This research illuminates the Reform Movement's profound significance in shaping Indonesia's democratic landscape, underscoring its nonnegotiable essence.
