Abstract

Anemia that occurs during pregnancy has become a global health problem. The amount of iron needed by pregnant women is much greater than that of non-pregnant women so pregnant women have a high risk of developing iron deficiency anemia. The method used in this study is a literature review study. The databases used in the source search are google scholar and Pubmed. The search for articles was carried out by collecting themes about the effect of iron administration on hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women. Pregnant women with anemia who consume iron show an increase in hemoglobin levels. Giving iron given for 90 days by consuming it once a day can increase hemoglobin levels by 1 g/dl.

Abstract

Fragilitas eritrosit merupakan reaksi membran eritrosit untuk melawan tekanan osmosis larutan disekitarnya. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah kadar hemoglobin, bentuk eritrosit, umur eritrosit, kandungan lipoprotein dinding eritrosit. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hasil osmotic fragility test (OFT) bedasarkan kadar hemoglobin. Metode penelitian deskriftif dengan populasi mahasiswa analis kesehatan Unimus. Sampel sebanyak 20 orang dan spesimen berupa darah vena yang diperiksa kadar Hb menggunakan alat hematology analyzer dan kadar OFT menggnakan seri pengenceran tabung reaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata kadar OFT 0,37±1,67 dan kadar Hb 13,39 ±0,01. Terjadi lisis sempurna dengan kadar OFT 0,46% pada kadar Hb ≥ 15 g/dl. Simpulan kadar OFT dan kadar Hb reratanya masih dalam batas normal, ada 4 kadar Hb dibawah normal atau anemia ringan yang memiliki kadar OFT normal, sedangakan kadar Hb ≥ 15 g/dl memiliki kadar OFT diatas normal.Fragilitas eritrosit merupakan reaksi membran eritrosit untuk melawan tekanan osmosis larutan disekitarnya. Abstract

Timbal adalah logam berat yang dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan. Toksisitas dalam tubuh dapat menimbulkan anemia, salah satu inklusi yang spesifik paparan timbal adalah basofilik stipling. Bahan Cat yang digunakan oleh pekerja pengecatan mobil di Kampung Ligu semarang ada unsur timbalnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat hubungan paparan timbal dengan jumlah sel Basofilik Stipling. Studi cross sectional yang digunakan pada 46 pekerja pengecatan mobil di Kampung Ligu Semarang diperiksa kadar timbal menggunakan AAS dan basofilik stipling menggunakan pengecatan Giemsa. Untuk mengetahui hubungan paparan timbal dengan jumlah sel basofilik stipling menggunakan uji Product moment. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rerata kadar timbal 43,25±4,99 dan rerata jumlah sel retikulosit 1,00±0,64 hasil uji Spearman”s rho diperoleh p value 0,00. Simpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan siknifikan antara kadar timbal dengan jumlah sel basofilik stipling.

Abstract

Background Clean and Healthy Life Behaviour (PHBS) program is an effort to empower all people at school, particularly student, to have an awareness on being healthy. According to Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi DIY (2012), there are eight indicators of PHBS. The aim of this research is to develop the game as health promotion media for 4th grade student at SDN Ngblak. Objective: to determine the extent to which temperature affects the macroscopic morphology of SADT and the morphological quality of leukocyte cells in SADT preparations. Method: Third level of Research and Development method was used for this research. The research’s subjects were media expert, material expert, and 12 students as they will give review and advice on the ‘ular tangga’ traditional game development. Data analysis used is qualitative. Result: The result of the 2ndvalidity test by the media expert, material expert, and game users for the ‘ular tangga’ traditional game as the health promotion media at elementary schoolwere 86%, 98%, and 90,27%, respectively. Overall, the results were very good. Conclusion:A set of Clean and Healthy Behaviour ‘ular tangga’ traditional game is feasible to be used as helath promotion media for 4th grade elementray school students.

Abstract

Malaria is almost found all over the world, including Indonesia. WHO data on malaria case transmission in 2020, namely 241 million and 627,000 deaths. Female Anopheles mosquitoes are the main factor in the transmission of parasites, one of which is Plasmodium falciparum which is most dangerous to cause complications to death. Data from the Ministry of Health 2019 the highest transmission in Papua Province is 216,380 cases. The malaria elimination program uses ACT as a treatment therapy for malaria. The first appearance of ACT resistance in Cambodia was in 2008 to Plasmodium falciparum which was associated with the presence of a Kelch 13 gene mutation. The purpose of this study was to identify a mutation of the Kelch 13 gene markers of resistance in Plasmodium falciparum with ACT treatment after 3 days. This type of exploratory study used a population of all patients at the Amban Manokwari Health Center in West Papua, with a total sampling in August-September 2022. Of the 51 and 11 H3 samples met the inclusion criteria using RDT and Microscopic methods. The DNA isolated sample using Favorgen kit then amplified PCR and electrophoresis gel agarose. Then were 7 amplicons seen in the DNA band (±200bp) and confirmed results from PT. Science Genetics (±100bp), then 1 amplicon is continued for sequencing. The sequence results were analyzed using the Bioedit and Mega IX softwere with the alignment of the sequence results. Changes in nucleeid bases and amino acids were obtained so that the mutation of the Kelch 13 gene occurred, 3 mutation variants: substitution (transition & transversion), silent mutation (C3T codon 1 cysteine-cysteine), and missense mutation (T4A codon 2 tryptophan-serine). It can be concluded that the Plasmodium falciparum treatment ACT carriers the Kelch 13 gene mutation as one of the markers of resistance. Keywords: ACT, Plasmodium falciparum, Kelch 13 Gene Mutation.

Abstract

Chronic diabetes mellitus is carried on by a rise in blood glucose levels as a result of decreased insulin sensitivity to manage blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study was to analyze participants with controlled and uncontrolled type 2 diabetes in relation of blood glucose, insulin, Homa-IR, and SCUBE2 protein levels. This study has a cross-sectional design and is descriptive analytic research. The sample for this study was stored biological fluid which was collected by total sampling from the Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital Semarang Laboratory Installation in September 2022 to October 2022. The T-Independent test and the Mann-Whitney U-test used to the data analysis. The results of the T-Independent test results suggest that there was no significant variance between the insulin levels in DMT2 patients who were in control and those who unable (p=0.820, p>0.05). According to the results of the Mann-Whitney U-test analysis, there was no significant difference in the levels of scube2 protein between controlled and uncontrolled T2DM, and there was a significant difference in the glucose levels and Homa-IR values between controlled and uncontrolled T2DM, including both.but there was a significant effect of differences in glucose levels and Homa-IR values. The conclusion is that there are differences in glucose levels and Homa-IR values in controlled and uncontrolled DMT2 and there is no difference in insulin and scube 2 protein levels in controlled and uncontrolled DMT2.  Keywords: Glucose, Insulin, Homa-IR, Protein Scube2
