Abstract

The Ministry of Higher Education's Regulation No. 3, 2020, issued the MBKM curriculum as a foundation for learning development at the University. Since 2021, the mathematics education study program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has been carrying out off-campus activities to support the MKBM curriculum. After 4 years of MBKM activities, the study program needs to survey to determine the effectiveness and usefulness of implementing the MBKM program. The purpose of this study is to describe the MBKM program and to find out the undergraduate students’ responses related to this. The research method is qualitative research with a survey method. The population was 288 undergraduate students in the mathematics study program, and the sample was 150. The instrument is a questionnaire to determine the effectiveness of the socialization of the MBKM program, the extent of understanding and perception of the MBKM curriculum, and its implementation. The results showed: 1) 27% of undergraduate students got information from the study program, 2) 78% of undergraduate students understood about the MBKM curriculum, and 3) more than 50% of undergraduate students agreed that outside-campus activities can improve teaching skills, mathematical content, and technology mastery. It was concluded that MBKM activities outside-campus positively impacted undergraduate students and need to continue. Recommendation: study programs need to conduct intense socialization about MBKM, and continue the outside-campus program, to train undergraduate students' pedagogical skills, content knowledge, and technology skills. Abstrak: Permen Ristek Dikti nomor 3 tahun 2020 menerbitkan kurikulum MBKM sebagai landasan pengembangan pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi. Program studi pendidikan matematika UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta telah melaksanakan kegiatan di luar kampus sejak tahun 2021 untuk mendukung kurikulum MKBM. Setelah 4 tahun kegiatan MBKM berlangsung, program studi perlu melakukan survei untuk mengetahui efektifitas dan kebermanfaatan program MBKM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan kegiatan pada program MBKM dan mengetahui respon mahasiswa terkait dengan kegiatan MBKM yang telah dilaksanakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode survei. Populasinya sebanyak 288 mahasiswa aktif pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika,  sampel penelitian sebanyak 150. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket. Angket digunakan untuk mengetahui efektivitas sosialisasi program MBKM, tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap kurikulum MBKM dan persepsi  terhadap implementasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) 27% mahasiswa mendapatkan informasi  tentang  kurikulum MBKM dari program studi, 2) 78% mahasiswa memahami tentang kurikulum MBKM, dan 3) lebih dari 50% mahasiswa memahami menyatakan setuju bahwa kegiatan di luar kampus dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar, kemampuan konten matematika, dan meningkatkan penguasaan teknologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan  bahwa kegiatan MBKM di luar kampus memberikan dampak positif bagi mahasiswa dan tetap dilaksanakan. Rekomendasi: program studi perlu melakukan sosialisasi tentang MBKM secara intens, dan tetap melanjutkan program MBKM di luar kampus, untuk melatih kemampuan pedagogis, pengetahuan konten matematika, dan kemampuan memanfaatkan teknologi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Algebraic thinking ability is the ability to analyze, model, and present information using mathematical language, think about patterns, functions, structures, and objects that cannot be determined with certainty, apply various mathematical discoveries, and solve problems. This study aims to identify the relationship and the magnitude of the influence of initial mathematical ability on students' algebraic thinking ability. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 at SMAN 1 Ciseeng, SMAN 1 Gunung Sindur, and SMAN 3 South Tangerang City. The method used was a survey with a correlational approach, using instruments for initial mathematical ability tests and algebraic thinking ability tests developed by Hee-Chan Lew. The sample consisted of 94 students. The results showed that initial mathematical ability has a strong relationship and a positive and significant influence on algebraic thinking ability. Abstrak: Kemampuan berpikir aljabar merupakan kemampuan dalam menganalisis, memodelkan, menyajikan informasi secara bahasa matematik, berpikir tentang pola, fungsi, struktur serta objek yang tidak dapat ditentukan secara pasti, mengaplikasikan berbagai penemuan matematika, dan memecahkan permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan serta besar pengaruh kemampuan awal matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di SMAN 1 Ciseeng, SMAN 1 Gunung Sindur, dan SMAN 3 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu survei dengan pendekatan korelasional menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan awal matematis dan tes kemampuan berpikir aljabar yang dikembangkan oleh Hee-Chan Lew. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 94 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan awal matematis memiliki hubungan yang kuat serta pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir aljabar.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the overall level of students' spatial literacy skills and analyse and describe each spatial literacy indicator on geometry transformation material. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. This study used a sample of 100 students of class XII MIPA. The instrument used consists of a written test in the form of descriptive questions totalling 9 questions to measure students' spatial literacy skills. The research results obtained show that: 1) students' spatial literacy skills are classified in the medium category, but the average score is still far below the KKM score. 2) Judging from the visualisation aspect, the average acquisition of this indicator is better than the other indicators, namely 49.33, where some students have been able to sketch spatial objects through visual images based on contextual problems appropriately and completely. 3) Judging from the reasoning aspect with an average of 26.83, most students still do not understand the concept of geometric transformation well, so they cannot relate concepts and relationships of spatial objects and use both in calculations.  4) Judging from the communication aspect with an average of 30.92, there are still many students who are unable to express their ideas related to the relationship of spatial objects correctly. It can be concluded that the spatial literacy skills possessed by students are not yet qualified.     AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan literasi spasial siswa secara keseluruhan dan menganalisis serta mendeskripsikan setiap indikator literasi spasial pada materi transformasi geometri. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 100 siswa kelas XII MIPA. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas tes tertulis berbentuk soal uraian yang berjumlah 9 soal untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi spasial siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan literasi spasial siswa tergolong dalam kategori sedang, namun nilai rata-ratanya masih berada jauh di bawah nilai KKM. 2) Dilihat dari aspek visualisasi, perolehan rata-rata indikator ini lebih baik dibandingkan dengan indikator yang lain yaitu 49,33, dimana sebagian siswa sudah mampu membuat sketsa objek spasial melalui gambar visual berdasarkan masalah kontekstual dengan tepat dan lengkap. 3) Dilihat dari aspek penalaran dengan perolehan rata-rata 26,83, sebagian besar siswa masih belum memahami konsep transformasi geometri dengan baik, sehingga tidak dapat mengaitkan konsep dan hubungan objek spasial dan menggunakan keduanya dalam perhitungan. 4) Dilihat dari aspek komunikasidengan perolehan rata-rata 30,92, masih banyak siswa yang tidak mampu mengemukakan idenya terkait dengan hubungan objek spasial dengan benar. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi spasial yang dimiliki oleh siswa belum mumpuni.

Abstract

AbstractThe inverse function in secondary schools is still a difficult concept to learn. Meanwhile, in national exams or competitions this problem often arises. Didactic design is an attempt to improve the learning process. The purpose of this study is to identify the epistemological obstacle, to develop the learning designs, and to describe the students’ responses regarding the implementation of inverse function’s concept learning designs in the class. This research was held in one of Senior High School in South Tangerang of 38 people from class X. The research method is Didactical Design Research (DDR). This method is conducted from three stages, prospective analysis, metapedia didactic analysis, and retrospective analysis. The result of the study was indicated that the student’s obstacles are according to predictions and didactical design still generates some new epistemological obstacle. The revised didactical design was obtained by updating the initial didactical design to resolve the obstacle. The revised didactical design includes choosing vocabulary, adding new instructions, and expanding predictions and anticipating student responses.AbstrakFungsi invers di sekolah menengah masih merupakan konsep yang sulit dipelajari. Sedangkan dalam ujian atau kompetisi nasional masalah ini sering muncul. Desain didaktik merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan epistemologis, mengembangkan desain pembelajaran, dan mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa terkait penerapan desain pembelajaran konsep fungsi invers di kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas di Tangerang Selatan yang berjumlah 38 orang dari kelas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Desain Didaktik. Metode ini dilakukan dari tiga tahap yaitu analisis prospektif, analisis metapedadidaktik, dan analisis retrospektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dialami siswa sesuai dengan prediksi dan desain didaktis masih menimbulkan hambatan epistemologis baru. Desain didaktis yang direvisi diperoleh dengan memperbarui desain didaktis awal untuk menyelesaikan kesulitan. Desain didaktis yang direvisi terdiri atas: memilih kosakata, menambahkan instruksi baru, dan memperluas prediksi dan mengantisipasi respon siswa. How to Cite:  Muin, A., Pratiwi, A. Abstract

Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) is a skill that combines pedagogical and technological competencies to support teachers' professionalism in teaching mathematics in the era of digitalization. The purpose of this study is to determine the enhancement of TPK skills among Pre-Service Mathematics Teachers (PSMTs) who studied using a Digital Project Learning (DPL) approach compared to those who learned using a conventional approach. The research method used was an experiment with a posttest-only control group design. The research was conducted in the mathematics education study program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta during the 2023/2024 academic year, with the research sample comprising students from two classes enrolled in Mathematics Learning Strategy (MLS) courses. Seventy-two students enrolled in a mathematics learning strategies course were divided into an experimental group (n=34) and a control group (n=38). The instrument used in this study is a rubric-based observation sheet to assess students' TPK. The results showed that students in the experimental class had better TPK skills compared to PSMTs in the control class. This can be seen in the skills for designing learning and teaching, and in the diversity of technology use. Therefore, DPL is efficacious in improving the TPK skills of PSMTs.
