Kebutuhan service bagi sepeda motor menjadi kebutuhan rutin yang harus dilakukan oleh penggunanya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan program bengkel dan training mekanik otomotif dan menumbuh kembangkan jiwa kewirausahaan, membantu program pemerintah dalam mengatasi pengangguran. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, Tanya jawab, diskusi, demonstrasi dan latihan praktek. Manfaat pengbdian ini adalah; Peserta pelatihan mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mekanik otmotif, Dosen dapat melaksanakan salah satu tri darma Perguruan Tinggi, untuk pemerintah setempat terbentuknya calon tenaga kerja yang berkualitas. Kegiatan ini diadakan di Kelurahan Labuhbaru Barat Kecamatan Payung Sekaki, diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta, 1 orang tamatan SD, 7 orang tamatan SMP dan 7 orang tamatan SLTA. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan mengumpulkan peserta di aula Kelurahan Labuhbaru Barat sebagai tempat pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat secara garis besar mencakup beberapa komponen sebagai berikut; 1). Keberhasilan target jumlah peserta pelatihan. 2) Ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan 3)Ketercapaian target materi yang telah direncanakan 4). Kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi. Target peserta pelatihan seperti direncanakan sebelumnya 10 orang. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa target peserta tercapai 100%. Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilihat dari jumlah peserta yang mengikuti dapat dikatakan berhasil/ sukses.

He purpose of this community service is to provide information about the use of plastic waste as alternative fuel for vocational students and Telkom Pekanbaru teachers and to help graduates of vocational students in facing the world of work. The method used is lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstration. The benefits of this service are; a) Provide scientific contributions, namely theoretical contributions in the form of additional scientific repertoire in the field of engineering studies, especially in the field of studies on the utilization of plastic waste for students of Pekanbaru Telkom Vocational School b) Lecturers can carry out one of the three principles of Higher Education, c) Help the community in unemployment. The results of community service activities broadly include the following components; 1). The success of the target number of participants is more than the planned target. 2) Planning an environmentally friendly movement towards the prosperity and utilization of plastic waste as an alternative fuel in the Final Waste Management Site (TPSA) in Pekanbaru Telkom Vocational High School, 3) The achievement of material targets in this service activity is quite good, because extension materials can be delivered overall 4). Targeted counseling participants as planned before 20 people who majored in TKR and TSM. In its implementation, this activity was attended by 40 participants. Thus it can be said that the target of the participants is reached 100%. This service level has been published in print media (tribune). Keywords: Plastic Waste, Alternative fuel

Fuel is the most cost component of thermal power generation. The output power of each plant should not exceed the needs of the consumer's load. Unoptimal generation between generating units can cause power losses along the transmission line so that the fuel drain is large enough. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal power output combination of each generating unit and determine the minimum total fuel cost of the combined power output of the plant by taking into account the valve-point effect and the operational constraint (economic load dispatch). The Newton-Raphson method is used to calculate the transmission line power losses. In this research, Bacterial Foraging Algorithm (BFA) optimization method is proposed to solve the problem of economic load dispatch. This method uses natural selection of optimum global bacterium which has a good food search strategy in the fitness function. The effectiveness of BFAs is tested on IEEE 5 bus 3 generatorsystem and IEEE 30 bus 6 generator system. The results of this proposed method show the optimal value of both generating systems.

Dengan bertambahnya kebutuhan bahan bakar timbullah pemikiran untuk membuat suatu alat yang dapat menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar baik berupa peralatan, cairan atau pun tablet. Salah satu cara penghematan bahan bakar adalah memberikan perlakuan terhadap bahan bakar sebelum memasuki ruang bakar atau sebelum mengalami proses pembakaran. Penggunaan magnet roycer, 9power dan mencoba menggabungkan magnet roycer dan 9power, dapat mengurangi pemakain bahan bakar yang digunakan pada sepeda motor konvesional.Pengujian dilakukan secara diam (engine stand) dengan waktu yang sudah ditentukan 10 menit pada motor suzuki R 125 cc dengan kecepatan rpm 1500, 2000, 2500 dan 3000 rpm. Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, pemakaian magnet roycer dan 9power terjadi penghematan bahan bakar namun bila digabungkan magnet roycer dan 9power penghematan yang terjadi lebih besar lagi. Penghematan terjadi pada setiap kecepatan tetapi penghematan yang paling signifikan terjadi pada kecepatan 2500 rpm. Penggunaan magnet roycer dengan kecepatan 2500 rpm menghasilkan penghematan sebesar 3,3 ml, penggunaan 9power dengan kecepatan yang sama menghasilkan penghematan sebesar 5 ml. Penggabungan magnet roycer dan 9power menghasilkan penghematan yang lebih besar lagi 21,7 ml, karna hasil pembakaran yang sempurna dan pengapian yang lebih baik.

The safety of a motorcycle is very important for vehicle owners. Until now, most motorbikes still rely only on the key to contact the vehicle itself. In the case of vehicle theft, it is very easy for the perpetrator of the theft to use the letter "T" key. Therefore an additional vehicle safety is required which is difficult to break apart from the ignition key. The purpose of this research is to design and implement motorcycle safety using Arduino-based Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) as additional vehicle safety. The author uses an RFID card / tag to add security to the vehicle starting system with a card / tag reading distance that can be read by an RFID reader. The ID code on the RFID Card must be inputted into the Arduino so that the RFID reader can read the ID Card that has been inputted into the Arduino. Based on the results of the tests that have been done, it is found that the reading distance of the RFID Card / Tag ranges from 1 cm to 3.5 cm. If the correct ID code is inputted, the electrical system is active and vice versa if the ID code entered is wrong, the buzzer will sound and the electrical system in the vehicle is not active / does not turn

Motorcycle ignition which also functions as a motorcycle safety needs to be designed and made as safe as possible to avoid the loss of the vehicle from theft cases. This equipment is designed to turn on/off and search for motorcycles using a remote from a smartphone with an android operating system via a bluetooth network. The bluetooth input is controlled using the Arduino Uno microcontroller. From the test results, it is found that the maximum distance that can be achieved between Android and Bluetooth to operate a motorcycle engine is about 10 meters. This system also makes our motorcycle engine ignition a smart ignition.

Untuk bisa bersaing di tingkat global, tenaga kerja harus memiliki sertifikat kompetensi.Tenaga kerja tidak bisa lagi hanya dengan mengandalkan ijazah, sertifikat kursus, dan lain sebagainya. Sertifikat kompetensi merupakan bukti pengakuan tertulis atas kompetensi kerja seseorang pada bidang tertentu melalui uji kompetensi secara sistematis dan obyektif yang dilaksanakan oleh lembaga sertifikasi profesi (LSP) dan telah mendapatkan lisensi dari badan nasional sertifikasi kompetensi (BNSP). Sementara itu banyak tenaga kerja di Provinsi Riau yang belum punya dan belum tahu dengan sertifikat kompetensi tersebut, khususnya di bidang instalasi pemanfaatan tenaga listrik. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk mereka. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk melatih dan meningkatkan pemahaman tenaga kerja menghadapi uji sertifikasi kompetensi agar kompeten dan bisa bersaing di bursa kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan tahapan pre-test, pembekalan, observasi, post test, dan wawancara. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 7 peserta. Selama kegiatan berlangsung terlihat pelatihan dan pendampingan ini telah terlaksana dengan baik. Sedangkan dari hasil penilaian yang dilakukan terdapat 86% peserta memperoleh nilai ≥ 70, artinya 6 dari 7 peserta berhasil kompeten. Ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap jika dibandingkan dari hasil pre-test sebelumnya.

Energi listrik saat ini telah menjadi kebutuhan energi primer pada masyarakat kita. Hal ini juga terlihat pada mitra yaitu Pesantren Tahfiz Al Quds yang berada di Kawasan Rumbai Timur. Mitra sering mengalami padamnya listrik di lokasi mereka. Alhamdulillah saat ini mitra telah memiliki Generator Set sendiri, sehingga pada saat suplai energi dari PT. PLN tidak bisa ada, mereka masih bisa mengaktifkan generator untuk kebutuhan penerangan. Namun genset yang mereka miliki saat ini masih dioperasikan secara manual. Hal ini menjadi kendala tersendiri jika pemutusan energi listrik dari PT. PLN tersebut terjadi saat-saat mereka sedang beraktivitas ataupun pada saat mereka sedang tertidur lelap. Berdasarkan permasalahan mitra, hasil survey tim IbM ke lokasi kegiatan yaitu Pondok Pesantren Tahfiz Al Quds Kecamatan Rumbai Timur. Luaran dari kegiatan IbM ini selain menghibahkan satu set peralatan ATS, juga memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan santri tentang pengoperasian generator serta pengetahuan dasar tentang ketenagalistrikan

Electric vehicles charging (EVs) must be done optimally to minimize the impact it causes. EVs are being recognized as a potential way to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. However, there are still difficulties in optimizing these systems to minimize operating costs and EVs charging waiting times. This study investigates several industrial, commercial and residential charging stations. The primary objective of this study is to systematically review the existing literature on optimizing EV charging. The collection of data was centered on scholarly articles released between the years 2018 and 2023 from Scopus, IEEE Xplore. This study presents a systematic literature review of optimizing EVs charging. As a result, 43 EVs charging optimization studies were obtained which were investigated and studied further. Identify and analysis the selected studies, there are two research topics and trends most frequently addressed by researchers: scheduling and coordination. The four most applied methods in EVs charging are identified: particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA), linear programming (LP) method, and evolutionary algorithms (EA). Future research directions: develop advanced optimization algorithms, investigating the integration of renewable energy sources into the charging infrastructure, exploring the potential of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services, studying the impact of EVs charging on the power grid and developing strategies, considering the optimization of charging schedules and coordination strategies for large-scale EVs fleets.
