Abstract

This study aims to determine the adaptation form of the Bajo tribe in case study farming activities in the Bajo community in Jawi-Jawi Village, Bungku Selatan District, Morowali Regency. The research was conducted in March 2019 in Jawi-Jawi Village, Bungku Selatan District, Morowali Regency. The informants in the study were people who knew the problems to be studied, namely 8 people consisting of fishermen from the Bajo tribe who did farming, village heads, village secretaries, and community leaders. The technique of determining research informants using the purposive sampling technique. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the form of adaptation of the Bajo tribe to farming activities was conducting land processing, selecting seeds, planting, fertilizing, controlling weeds, and harvesting in cultivating cassava, corn, and vegetables as one of the basic needs of the family in the southern season.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Jawi-Jawi Village, Bungku Selatan Subdistrict, Morowali Regency from February to March 2019. The location selection was carried out purposively deliberately) with the consideration that the people are Bajo people who work as fishermen. The determination of informants was carried out using the census method, totaling 8 people, and had carried out farming activities, consisting of Bajo ethnic fishermen, village heads, village secretaries, and community leaders. Collecting data using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Retrieval of data through interviews with informants based on a list of questions and related parties in farming activities. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the factors driving the adaptation form of the Bajo tribe to farming activities were internal factors, namely the lack of income of fishermen, lack of fishing gear, lack of knowledge of fishermen, age of fishermen, and limited capital. Meanwhile, external factors are uncertain climatic conditions and the impact of mining activities.

Abstract

Effectiveness of the Distribution of Subsidized Fertilizers to Rice Paddy Farmers in Baruga Village, Baruga sub-District, Kendari City. This research objectives were to determine the mechanism of distribution of subsidized fertilizers on rice paddy farmers in Baruga village Baruga Sub-district, Kendari. This research was conducted in the Baruga Sub-District of Kendari from November 2019 until January 2020. The method of sampling research used is the research method to answer the goal is to use a descriptive analysis used to describe the distribution mechanisms of subsidized fertilizers on rice farmers and quantitative analysis using a systematic formula to know The effectiveness of the distribution of subsidized fertilizers on rice paddy farmers in Baruga village, Baruga sub-district, Kendari City. The results showed that the distribution mechanism of subsidized fertilizers on rice paddy farmers was following the distribution flow according to government regulations. Still, in part, Pengantongan Unit fertilizer does not do its job with the full IE must Label the fertilizer sack with the label "subsidized fertilizer, so as not to be sold to other parties with a higher price for the individuals in firmness and profit.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the determinants of farmers’ learning patterns in developing organic lowland rice. This research is a survey research with the research location in Lambandia District, East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The was chosen because some farmers have applied organic lowland rice cultivation technology. The research period was for three months, from July to September 2021. The number of samples was 62 farmers by the census. Research variables were farmers’ characteristics, access to information media, support of supporting factors, and farmer learning patterns. collecting data with structured interviews using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results showed that the farmer’s learning pattern was through imitation of innovation with the support of the availability of creation and assistance. Farmer characteristics, supporting factors, and farmer access to information affect farmer learning patterns.
