Abstract

Stunting and Maternal Factors. Stunting is still one of the unresolved priority issues. Maternal factors greatly influence the incidence of stunting in children. This study explains the relationship between stunting and maternal factors, namely education, knowledge of nutrition, parenting patterns, and mother's motivation. This qualitative research is a type of correlational analytic research with the cross-sectional method. The subjects of this study were stunting mothers and toddlers at Dungkek Health Center (n=40), obtained using simple random sampling. Data collection using questionnaires and met lines. Data were analyzed using a contingency correlation test. The results showed a relationship between stunting in children with education, nutritional knowledge, and self-efficacy (p= 0.001; p= 0.033; p= 0.01). Edit was not related to parenting (p = 0.866). Health workers need to pay attention to maternal factors as the target of promotive and preventive activities in stunting cases because maternal factors make an important contribution in the first 1000 days of life, preventing stunting.

Abstract

Data analysis was carried out using statistical software to identify factors that significantly influence adolescent reproductive health knowledge . Results: The results of the study show that factors such as parental education, access to information (0.000), the role of schools (0.037), and peer (0.000) influence significantly influence the level of reproductive health knowledge of adolescents in coastal areas. On the other hand , cultural and economic values of the family also play an important role, but their impact varies more depending on the specific context of each community Conclusion: Knowledge of adolescent reproductive health in coastal areas is influenced by various interrelated factors. Efforts to increase this knowledge must include a holistic approach, involving parental education, increasing access to information, strengthening the role of schools, and addressing cultural norms that hinder it. Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth for 6 (six) months, without adding and/or replacing it with other foods or drinks. Breast milk contains many nutrients, including albumin, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, growth factors, hormones, enzymes, immune substances, and white blood cells in the right and balanced portions. The composition of breast milk is specific to each mother, changes and differs from time to time according to the baby's needs at that time. One of the obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding is the mother's low level of knowledge. The method used to increase this knowledge is by providing counseling in the form of interactive lectures and showing videos, while implementing behavior is carried out through exercises or simulations. Before the counseling was carried out, a pretest was carried out on mothers of reproductive age who were participants in community service. After being given counseling, a post test was carried out to see the increase in mother's knowledge. From the pretest results it was found that 40% did not have a good understanding of exclusive breastfeeding. After being given counseling, there was a significant increase in participants' understanding, namely 80%. The conclusion of this community service is that after receiving counseling, there was an increase in understanding regarding exclusive breastfeeding among mothers of reproductive age in Aengdake village.
