Abstract

The challenges often faced by MSMEs are how to promote their products. The technology development nowadays encourages MSMEs to utilize several social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and websites as a promotional tool. The use of social media was believed can help expand the market. This is what is done by the Batik MSME in Juwet Kenongo Village, Sidoarjo Regency. However, the use of this technology is still not effective in increasing their sales. Batik sales are still dominated by orders and participation when attending exhibitions. This is due to the less-than-optimal strategy for utilizing social media. In addition, the storytelling aspect is still an obstacle when promoting on social media. Strengthening storytelling skills through a workshop is believed to be effective in helping MSMEs compose better story narratives. Besides that, this workshop is believed to be an urgent need for MSMEs. The focus of this community service is educational assistance related to compiling marketing through storytelling. MSMEs will be equipped with product narrative writing techniques. The assistance activities were welcomed by MSMEs. The participants were also cooperative and actively asked questions to the speakers. By participating in this training, MSMEs gain insight into the importance of strengthening the storytelling aspect in compiling interesting captions or narratives.

Abstract

Mural means painting on a large, permanent wall/wall media. The purpose of this research is to determine the existence of mural forms, determine the role of murals, and determine the public's views on murals in Padang City. This type of research is qualitative research. The research was conducted in Padang City with a focus area in Gang Muhajirin, Dadok nggul Hitam, Jl Bakti Parupuk Tabing and around Taplau, Padang City. Data collection uses observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis uses Milles Huberman analysis. The research results show that the public is very enthusiastic and appreciates murals as a form of art that beautifies the city. The existence of murals is able to establish close relationships between the art community and the surrounding community. The role of murals in Padang City society can be used as a media for education, increasing social awareness, criticism, communication media and adding to the aesthetic value of an area. People's views on murals can be very varied and complex depending on their understanding of murals.

Abstract

Silungkang weaving is a traditional heritage of the Silungkang community, long recognized in Sawahlunto. However, this tradition is currently under threat due to the lack of younger generations continuing it, with the majority of artisans being over 40 years old. This study aims to analyze the existence and development of Silungkang weaving in Padang City, particularly concerning its products, motifs, colors, and weaving techniques. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the interest of the younger generation in Silungkang weaving is very low, while the remaining artisans continue to use traditional tools and ancestral motifs. However, there has been some development in more varied motifs that are no longer confined to the old designs. The basic weaving techniques used also show variations from simple to more complex songket techniques. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of preservation efforts and innovation so that Silungkang weaving can continue to survive and evolve in the future.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to prove empirically that earnings management mediates the implementation of corporate governance relationships and disclosure of corporate social responsibility in influencing the financial performance of manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors listed on the IDX for the 2019 - 2022 period, either directly or indirectly. The proposed research problem refers to previous research and the existence of research gaps in previous research. In this research, seven hypotheses have been formulated using a purposive sampling method and using secondary data obtained from annual reports published by the BEI. Based on existing criteria, a sample of 31 manufacturing companies in the basic industrial and chemical sectors were "listed" on the IDX for the 2018 - 2021 period. This research shows the results obtained based on Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) analysis in the SmartPLS 3.0 program . The research results show that corporate governance has a significant positive influence on the company's financial performance.
